  1. I found Mitr Pohl golden syrup on Lazada, it's much less expensive than Tate & Lyle so I thought I'd try some and it seems perfectly ok even though it's a bit more runny than the aforementioned T&L. Might be worth a try.

It’s a census report.  It has nothing to do with attitudes and beliefs that exist today.  Am I to conclude that you believe the majority of US citizens are in support of the cancel culture/progressive movement today?  Can you kindly share the survey statistics that have informed your opinion?

What complete nonsense. How you can argue that peoples ethnicity has nothing to do with their attitudes and beliefs is beyond me.

One survey after another demonstrates that the majority of US citizens, be they from the left or right, are “uncomfortable” with the cancel culture and the extreme right progressives.  They are sitting back and watching this happen as they don’t know what to do about it.  This is the kind of thing that pushes voters out of the center into more extreme left or right positions (a la Trump). It’s only a matter of time before this silent majority have had enough of this nonsense and get behind a smart politician who will see beating down this cancel culture/progressive movement as a vote winning strategy (which it is). Then watch out.

    Look at the demographics.

People who were around in the middle part of the last century are dying out and fortunately taking their viewpoints forged by growing up in a country where apartheid (aka segregation) still existed with them. Some demographic projections show white people of European descent will be in a minority in just twenty-five years, here's a link to one report.

Now, can you give a credible link to substantiate your claim that "One survey after another demonstrates that the majority of US citizens, be they from the left or right, are “uncomfortable” with the cancel culture"?

Snowflakes of today are using their own context rather than the time context that the books were written. IMHO it is they who are wrong.

You can overwrite history which is what they are trying to do, to sanitise history to their way of thinking, because they KNOW better than the people who lived the history at the time.

What they cannot do and t really annoys them is to eradicate the parts of history that they don't like and replace it with the history that THEY like.

I think you've missed the point, which is that time has moved on, regardless of whether or not you like it what went before is not always what is right for today or tomorrow. That's not 'sanitising history' as you put it rather it's looking forward to something better in the future.

  5. In between more recent shows I'm enjoying going back to the excellent 1980's set of Sherlock Homes productions, Adventures, Return of, Memoirs and Casebook. While many fine actors have played the part of Holmes or characters inspired by the original admirably, Jeremy Brett for me captures the role to perfection and these are not shows that I grow tired of.

I guess a much of our preference when it comes to the post popular tv and film characters is down to when we were born. For me, Ron Ely 'is' Tarzan, Adam West 'is' Batman and either Roger Moore or Sean Connery are the real James Bonds.

No it was in the 80's and may well still be true. Research it before you take a definitive stance. Things dont change quickly in Thailand if indeed they ever change.

I don't need to research it, I went through the process of obtaining a Kor Ror 22 from my local amphur several years ago. At no time was Bhuddism, or any other religion mentioned they just accepted the our legalized UK marriage licence.

  7. Warning re 19-2 Season 1 Download.

I just started watching what is labelled episode 1 and was a bit confused as it started out "previously on 19-2....." so I checked the other episodes and it turns out that what is labelled episode 9 is in fact the first episode. Not sure how the others will pan out, I'm hoping it's just a straight swap between 1 and 9.

The Biden administration favors catch and release a.k.a. open borders.  So of course thousands now rush for the border.  And we still see adult “children” coming.  Once they get in, chain migration happens.  Does America need more illegals when millions have been thrown out of work, and homeless people floor our cities?  Shouldn’t Americans come first?

You mean the indigenous natives, right?

Tried finding them on Lime and sure enough there season 1-3 pops up but there's no seeders nor leachers. Tried downloading over night in spite of this but there isn't anything coming down th pipe. Any help would be appreciated

I found and successfully downloaded them from Lime's Asia site, your issue may be that you're using a different Lime site?   BTW I made a mistake in my earlier post, as Will said there are four seasons. Let me know if you're still having problems and I'll pm you a link.

    I loved the Underbelly shows.

My favourite Oz series in recent times is Mr Inbetween.

Rake is up there as well.

Others are Top of the Lake, Mystery Road and Jack Irish.

Blue Murder,  made in 1995 but was based on the Sydney underworld and corrupt cops was excellent as well.

    Might've dated now though.

I remember you telling me about Blue Murder a while back, I downloaded it at the time but haven't got around to it yet - same for Mr. Inbetween and the other three for that matter! I liked Rake (but forgot it in my earlier post), I didn't realize that Top of the Lake was an Aussie show. I'll prioritise accordingly, thanks.

  12. 2)       Hudson & Rex

"Detective Charlie Hudson teams up with what he calls his "highly trained law enforcement animal" German Shepherd dog named Rex who he prefers to team up with because he doesn't talk his ear off."

6.9 on IMDb, currently airing season 3. All previous episodes on Magnet. I was watching the first episodes and the first scenes had me worried that it would turn into Lassie but that didn't turn out to be the case.

  13. 1)      Da Vinci's Inquest

"Nicholas Campbell plays charismatic and mercurial coroner Dominic Da Vinci, of Vancouver, British Columbia. As a former undercover cop, he understands the realities of the streets and the compromises that must sometimes be made. Still, he makes it his mission to bring dignity to each victim and tries to solve some of the mysteries surrounding deaths in his city, frequently butting heads with members of his own department and the city police as well as his pathologist ex-wife."

8.0 on IMDb. Seasons 1-7 in one download from TPB, took a day to complete.
