It's not free if it's not available.  Very few Thai have received (under 70k) and unless there is a major change even one shot could take years - there is no clarity of who will get what when or where yet.  Up to now seems health workers and government officials have been priority (but in selected locations).   Once private imports are actually allowed and can be obtained there may become a pay option to help speed things up.

Our village health workers called my wife and told us to expect vaccinations to be available, FOC in a couple of months.

As far as I know its used in food production as starch. Tapioca too. It is a very low price crop but will grow almost anywhere in poor soil. Once they pull it out of the ground (like a potato) they chop up the stem of the tree and simply stick it back in the ground and it grows again. I knew a girl had some Casava growing on her land and lived in a Casava area all her life. I asked her what it was used for, she pondered a few moments (didnt have a clue) and said "up to company" lol. I was told u cant cook it and eat it like a sweet potato. May even be mildly poisonous untreated

Yes, that is quite amazing (well, to me anyway), as I type I can see a few that Mrs BM planted a month or so back but I have no idea what she'll do with them.

  3. Looking forward to this one starting on the 1st of April, the title says it all really: Law & Order: Organised Crime.

I watched the first episode of the very good Bloodlands last night, as recommended on here a couple of times. Am I alone in thinking that James Nesbitt seems to have aged quite a bit? After all, Stan Lee's Lucky Man was not that long ago and he appeared much younger in that. The same could be said of Stabler here (Christopher Meloni), I guess being blue and porcine has its advantages as I still have my youthful looks.

Revealed: The true, stark facts versus the EU's fiction and attacks on the UK

EU President defames UK, yet UK pledged 50% more vaccines than EU to poorer countries

    https://facts4eu.org/news/2021_mar_eu_fiction#vaccines_alliance_20210316.jpg

    European Union[edit]

As of November 2020, the European Union (EU) and EU members have pledged €870 million to COVAX. The European Commission (EC) brought the EU into COVAX on 31 August 2020 and pledged €400 million in guarantees, but did not state how this money would be paid out or its conditions. The EC pledged a further €100 million from the 11th European Development Fund to COVAX via a grant to GAVI on 12 November. Individual EU member states have also made additional pledges; France donated an additional €100 million, Spain an additional €50 million, and Finland an additional €2 million.[19]

According to the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, Germany has joined COVAX through the European Union and has pledged €300 million for the treatment of COVID-19 in developing nations.

    United Kingdom

The United Kingdom has provided £548 million to Covax. No vaccines have been exported by UK.

The United Kingdom was the biggest single donor to COVAX-AMC until being overtaken by Germany and the United States.

Have to give Statista a nudge about it too, they also missed the memo https://www.statista.com/chart/24244/donations-to-covax-by-country/

A pledge is not something that has already been given, it's a commitment to do so in the future. Happy to clear up your little misunderstanding.

BTW your chart is over a month out of date.

Sorry to disppoint but completely true

If it was the EU exporting to other countries why would they put an authorisation mechanism in place before they can export

That is the EU wishing to export so they send a request to themselves requesting approval for export which is then granted by themselves

Not sure if you're just trolling, it certainly seems like it. What you've written is not relevant to the facts that I posted. I'll make it as simple as I can:

    I Posted:

Vaccine doses produced in the UK and exported to EU member states - no evidence of any...........

Vaccine doses produced in the EU and exported to the UK - 8 million.

    You Replied:

    No Facts in your post

Its not the EU that has exported at 8 million doses to the UK, the  majority of exports to the UK are from pfizer biontech,

Pfizer has fullied all EU orders that have been placed and these exports are surplus to requirements.

There is a large price difference between the  pfizer biontech ( made for a profit) and the AZ (made at non profit)

I wouldn't think the UK will be exporting anywhere

while there is another 26 million people in the UK that need to be vaccinated with the 1st dose and approx 50 million people in the UK that required to be vaccinated with the 2nd dose

Semantics - they don't alter the facts.

Vaccine doses produced in the UK and exported to EU member states - no evidence of any (and it would be a sure bet that Johnson and co. would be making a big deal of it if there were).

Vaccine doses produced in the EU and exported to the UK - 8 million.

    Don't understand your post.

    1. I'm presuming you are talking about the FA Cup but City beat ManU in the Caraboa cup not the FA Cup.

    2. For City to win the FA Cup we've got to beat the top 4 in the PL? What are clubs joining together against us? We're in the Semi so there's only 2 possible opponents in the competition, Chelsea in the Semi and the winner of Soton vs Leicester.

You've lost the plot, Bredbury. You seem to have forgotten that you still have to play yourselves yet, as opposed to what they do in North London (i.e. play with themselves).

    Like the EU already does?

The UK has donated $735 million to Covax to help the developing world have vaccines.

The EU has donated just $489 million

The UK is doing plenty to help the world.

In addition its surplus of vaccines that they do not need when they've finished the UK population will also be donated to the world.

The European Union’s executive commission on Friday pledged to double its contribution to the World Health Organization’s COVAX program, bringing the 27-nation bloc’s commitment to the initiative to deliver vaccines to poor nations to 1 billion euros ($1.2 billion).

European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen praised a “true moment of global solidarity” in a statement as leaders of the Group of Seven economic powers gathered in a virtual meeting.

Von der Leyen also announced during the meeting an additional 100 million euros ($121.4 million) to support vaccination campaigns in Africa in partnership with the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“The funding will be used to strengthen health systems, ensure the cold chains, buy equipment and train staff,” von der Leyen said. She added that the EU would discuss with drugmakers how they can ramp up their COVID-19 vaccine production capacity in Africa.

In addition to its COVAX contribution, the EU said it wants to share some of its doses with neighbors in Europe and Africa. Von der Leyen has regularly insisted that global solidarity is needed not only to help the world’s poorest countries but also to protect the EU, as “nobody is safe until everybody is safe.”

    Suphan

So maybe I will contact you for architect/builder references when the time comes!

the architect was in the earlier link. By good fortune we came across an excellent builder and I would be happy to give details later if required. Suphan as I'm sure you know is a very big province, we're in the NW, bordering Chainat.

Thanks, we're in rural Suphanburi. Total cost including the garage and walls was around six million, excluding the land that my wife already owned.
