Not new. I have been aware of this for many years. Just not often checked.
I think you may be confusing pre-application periods with the relatively new post application period requirements, which didn't exist 'many years' ago.

Did you not update your bankbook when you applied?
Yes, the local office had already checked and approved everything, this was a further check to see if I'd taken the balance below the threshold in the intervening time.

Hi, thanks in no small part to this esteemed forum we (should) all know about the requirements to keep funds in the bank for a certain period after application for & granting of extensions to stay. Having said that I don't recall seeing anyone mention having to prove that their balance hasn't dipped below the threshold during the under consideration period, however that is exactly what happened to me yesterday.
I applied for an extension based on marriage a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday Mrs BM was called by Suphanburi immigration who told her that Bangkok immigration had instructed them to instruct me to make a deposit of 200 Baht, get my passbook updated then take the passbook to Suphan immigration for them to check and copy and for me to sign their copy.
This was no great drama but a bit of an inconvenience as it required a forty minute wait at the bank and a 140 km round trip to the immigration office.
Had I been foolish enough to be tempted to dip into the 400k in that account then my application would have been denied.
As I said it was not an issue for me, I'm just posting as a heads up for anyone contemplating eating into their 400k early, as all marriage extensions must be approved at Bangkok then I assume the same thing could happen anywhere in the Kingdom.

So you too suffered David Pleats ramblings and terrible pronunciations (he renamed Gundogan as Gundahan and he butchered Zinchenko).
Pronunciations aside there are worse out there, but I do remember him saying something completely random at one point, although I can't now remember what it was.
You need little disappointments at times to make the successes that much sweeter. I know we've each had our share of ups and downs over the years.

I forgot about Oldham.
The Oldham who were unbeatable on their plastic pitch (back in the day)....... until a certain team in blue went up there and stuffed them 3 or 4-0. I seem to remember them getting a couple of decent cup results....... unlike a certain team in blue at that time.

Guts, grit and determination throughout the team.
True that and I'll add discipline, focus and as the came wore on, ever increasing belief. I watched on UEFA TV and obviously enjoyed the performance and result, they stuck with the players for quite a while after the cup was lifted and it was great to see the whole squad and staff celebrating, especially those who started with us as kids and the likes of Mendy, Kante, Rudiger & Azpi - well, all of them really.

How do you know they were stolen? No mention of it in the quoted article. Link please.
There was already a link posted above more than 12 hours before your comment. The link makes it clear that these items were stolen and smuggled out of the country and that Thailand has been trying to get them returned for some time.

You (and I) may not be supporters of them and you may consider them to be illegitimate but they are the legal government nonetheless.

I hope Mrs BM doesn't read this, she'll be wanting to demolish my garage to get some more in, not that she pays much attention to the PM anyway.

In the complaint, he claims that the actress arrived on the island on April 26th and spent almost two weeks there, during which she dined at several restaurants and went sight-seeing, without wearing a face mask. She also did not isolate herself, as required for all arrivals from Bangkok, which is still a high-risk zone.
Doesn't he know who she is?

Particularly as she's no longer in Thailand! She couldn't complain very easily.
Au contraire, she can merrily complain 'til the cows come home. However, getting any kind of refund or apology is quite a different matter.

A new one from NZ, first episode broadcast today: Vegas
"Waitoki – the town where things get steamy.
That’s the barely fictionalised backdrop for TVNZ’s latest Kiwi drama Vegas (which debuts on TVNZ2 tonight, Monday, at 8.30pm). Filmed entirely in Rotorua, the $6.4m budgeted, six-part series is based on Ray Berard’s 2015 novel Inside the Black Horse.
A potent cocktail of a tale involving debts, drugs, gangs and two disparate brothers, it revolves around the build up to and fallout from the life-changing events of a single night.
It was supposed to be the evening when Te Toki ended their reliance on meth sales to find their activities. When one last deal would give them enough money would allow them to buy back some of their ancestral land and give themselves “a place to stand”. Where newly appointed leader Kingi (Eds Eramīha) could prove his mana to the doubters, especially those who believe their former head Waka (Wayne Hapi) should not have passed over his own son Matia (Xavier Horan) to give the role to his “bravest warrior”. But although there were some who queried Kingi’s choice of bagman for the big night, they could never have foreseen that the bar would be the target of an armed robbery at exactly the same time he would be in there with their produce."

Whilst checking out the season 2 opener of Godfather of Harlem I came across this related 4- part documentary from last year; By Whatever Means Necessary (also the title of S01E01 of GoH)
I found it on Lime.

Thanks, I'd completely forgotten about that, one of the decent British cop shows from the 90's along with the likes of The Knock, The Vice and Between the Lines to name but three.

Was 99% sure with that name but couldn't be 100%. Hence, couldn't expect an objective answer, and didn't get one either!
There should be a law prohibiting anyone from ever being objective about their team.

Personally I'd like to see Tammy given a decent chance. We appear to be in a strong position at the moment, European Champions and money in the bank. An interesting couple of months ahead!
