  1. To enter Laos you need one full page and place for entry/exit stamps - they take about 1/5 of page(20%) and they do not need to be together.

If you come by flight to VT and you are lucky - one young lady stamps visa sticker on sticker(on her own understanding without asking)- wink,wink...

normaly - round visa stamp is on sticker border, part of it - on edge of page(right side or left).Because you want Thai visa there - you have no other choice - just go to your embassy and get new document. If you dont have embassy there - do not go to Laos,go somewhere else.

and have a lot of fun, dont worry they will not eat you.

if lao immigration put the visa and stamp in the good place i will have 2 or 3 free page , but i got only 1 now :(

  2. Sounds like the OP has been violating the intent and by his own admission several of the tenets of some of the visas he has received. I see work mentioned in the same sentence as tourist visas. He definitely is NOT a tourist, and his itineraries clearly show that. If his intent is to stay in Thailand legally and with a minimum of hassle, it seems like the Thai Elite Visa is a proper legal method. Having said that, what are the work provisions of the Elite Visa? Of course I assume one would need valid work permits for a normal Thai job, but would the Thai Visa be suitable for use with a work permit?

i just would like to know if the immigration officer, look at his passport or no ?

because me in 2015 no 30 days exemption only on non 0 visa and extension and 2014 only 1 entry 30 day at mae sai last november 2014

i think it' s case by case

  3. Yeah Ubon

i am on a non o extension yeah finish on 8 november and i need 30 day for make new 60 day extension before new visa in february in the new passport

    You can renew the extension.

    When does your passport expire?

Only one 60 day extension can be done per entry.

If I recall correctly he cannot qualify for a year extension.

Ubon with a 30 day exempt visa , i can apply for a 60 day entry for thai child right ?

  4. Yeah Ubon

i am on a non o extension yeah finish on 8 november and i need 30 day for make new 60 day extension before new visa in february in the new passport

    You can renew the extension.

    When does your passport expire?

When I did an extension last year it left 2 pages, they said you MUST get a new PP...So my thoughts are they will not extend with just one page..Sure Joe will clarify..

i make extension in september in cm and they say nothing

  5. Waah I am now worried I'll be going to Mae Sai soon to get an visa exempt coz I'm gonna cancel my ED visa and plan to have visa exempt until my Thai course is finish which is first week of November and and I cancel my ED visa this 20 of October ..so is it possible for me not to get an visa exempt in Mae Said border this my first time to go border never done this before..is there anyone can give me suggestion ..would it possible or not possible to get visa exempt in border of Mae Sai..? Thanks in advance .

You could try Mae Sai but the chances are slim they will allow you to leave. If you want to try give yourself some time to go to another crossing if denied.

It would be better going to Chiang Kong and crossing to Laos.

thank u very much for your reply.

if they denny us in maesai , we can go to chiang kong ; go and back ? or we need to stay 1 nite there ?

  6. i am in the same case as you , i have only 1 page left and i need to go mae sai in november

So you just suddenly woke up to the fact of 1 remaining page.Surely you should have got a new passport by now.

i have meeting at the embassy in december , and i no have the paper they want to see that why i need waiting my family to bring this to me , i got 1 free page and 2 page for some stamp

  7. The sign at the Mae Sai border crossing, 'No Visa Runs' means no visa exempt entries and this has been the general policy, with respect to foreigners who appear to be living in Thailand, for over a year now (Aug 2014). I had mentioned this on Thai visa last year since I was living in Chiang Rai and was friendly with a few of the IO's at the border crossing. Elviajero's advice seems very sensible.

i make 30 day in november 2014 without anything ask

i think it s case by case really ; i will try mae sai in november one year later after my last exempt visa

  8. I did the run on the 2nd , I had until the 4th. The Visa is stamped now as Used.

I'm not saying you're wrong but before heading to immigration double check the 'enter before' date that is printed on the Tourist Visa. That is the important date and not the dates stamped in your passport. It's a common mistake that people assume they can enter before the last 'admitted until' date stamped in the passport when it's the date stamped on the visa that counts.

    As in below.

    NOT this.
