Surprisingly it was my long time Thai GF that suggested a threesome. She was quite hot and sexy at 40 and decided she wanted another lady (not man) to take care of her and play with. She had a thing about larger breasts as hers were not large. Of course, as a man how would I refuse the chance of becoming involved. I have to say the idea of this was really hot however the reality for both of us was rather underwhelming. Don't get me wrong but whilst it was fun there was no major satisfaction. We tried a few times with different ladies but she decided her fantasy wasn't as good as she thought. I enjoyed the opportunity too but always felt a bit guilty afterwards. The final time was when my GF said afterwards "you enjoyed her too much". We never tried thresomes again (and I still have no desire to).

I bought tickets in early September for travel with THAI from BKK-LHR-BKK for October/November 2020 for about 38,000THB. THAI cancelled the return before travel so decided not to go (would have been a hassle returning anyway). Called THAI for refund, was offered voucher but insisted on refund (recorded the call). Was told "may take 6 months". Said OK thanks and hung up. Submitted chargeback online with AMEX adding in PDF copy of THAI flight cancellation email. AMEX approved chargeback within hours and the fee was credited to my account within 3 days. I expected THAI to try to dispute but guess they knew they would lose.

i have both car and motorcycle Thai DLs ... and I have it such that they expire the same date.. The last time i renewed (from 5yr to another 5yr)

I too have both 5yr Car and M/C licences however due to me not bothering to apply for the M/C licence at same time as car, they expire 2-3yrs apart meaning 2 trips to DLT every 5 years (not end of the world though). Does anyone here know how, if possible, to get the licences aligned so that that bothcan be renewed at the same time?

In my experience I (with my then wife) was only ever stopped when we had stuff - mostly homewares and furnishings - in cardboard boxes. Customs never seem too bothered checking suitcases of farangs but definitely do target asian females (particularly returning Thais) for stuff such as expensive designer clothes and handbags being brought into Thailand for re-sale.

I had a stand off with customs when bringing in duvets and pillows (in boxes) a few years ago. The lady officers didn't really know what the rules were so I just stood and smiled while keeping calm. In the end they just gave up and told me to go and even offered to help tape the boxes up again. This was in "normal" times and I don't expect it to be much different in Covid times however they may not want to much interaction for fear of infection. Good luck.

You have two offshore oil industry bases of operations, soon to be connected by ferry.

Sounds like a good idea to me.  The oilfield equipment will be the equivalent of the first class passengers in an airline analogy, probably paying a premium.  Then they'll fill the "cheap seats" with cars and passengers to absorb overhead.  Like economy class.

As a bonus, the roads between SHP and SKL will be less crowded...  Including the roads in BKK.  Plus, there's a lot of oilfield equipment too big for the roads, that's already going by dedicated boat, (and getting bent over the table for the privilege).

Unless they're thinking that cars and passengers could stand alone.  That would be doubtful.

Impulse, you are correct in that it's two major bases but I thought it was gas platforms in the Gulf of Thailand serviced by Songkhla and Sattahip?

I can see the synergy of a ferry connecting the two locations for the natural resource industry. Both of which are served well by helicopter (although many helo operations moved to Nakhon Si Thammarat in the early 2010's).

IMO cars and passengers only are a non-starter. Freight is where the money's at.

I wish them well. Trucks maybe their main customer. Eastern Seabord to Songkhla eliminates the needs for an overnight road journey.

My first thought was that it would benefit semi-truck transportation. The demand for passenger and private car, transport would be minimal IMO. Pricing will be a very important factor as to whether it's popular. Maybe not enough revenue to make it a success.

A district chief in Ratchaburi has stopped outsiders coming into the province to pan for gold

They are missing a trick here... The more certain money is not made in actually obtaining the gold but in selling lodging, equipment and other "services" to keen outside prospectors.

I have been using Synology NAS since 2012 and have a DS212 & DS718. Both are twin disc units. They can be used with either a single or double discs. Single disc has no data copy option hence your screenshot showing (without data protection). From your screenshot "volume 1" appears to have on one disk and that it is installed in slot #2. If there were two disks they would both be shown in the "disk info tab". To me it seems that it would be unlikely to recover data easily from the drive. Though as it was not striped over two disks the files should be on the disk and may be recoverable by an experienced data recovery professional.

BTW: I keep my NAS at my UK home and it works great as a VPN (for accessing UK streaming sites) and as a back-up device.

Isn't it just online alcohol sales that are banned and not actual home delivery?

I'm sure that if you call the wine shops/stores (most of which have an online presence) they will take a phone order and deliver to you. WINEKS advertise 1-3 days for delivery upcountry and their "shop now" button gives a LINE QR Code which may no longer be working - didn't try.

Thanks. At quick glance it seems rather amusing compared to real life driving/riding experience here in Thailand. Should make for good nightime reading zzz...

It has become common usage, but the Highway Code still says:

Rule 110 of the Highway Code states: “Only flash your headlights to let other road users know that you are there. “Do not flash your headlights to convey any other message or intimidate other road users.”

Didn't know there was a "highway code" here in Thailand. Where can I buy a copy and is it in English too?  If not in English then your translation skills must be excellent.

Just back from a Sunday morning walk around Chatuchak Market (I live about 5 minutes away by motorbike). A cool and pleasant morning. Arrived about 10:45am and grabbed a quick bite to eat in the food court area. It soon became apparent that there were more staff than customers at the market. Outnumbered I'd reckon by about 5 staff to every 1 customer. On walking around the market I'd say there were probably only 30% of stalls open at 11:15am which is normally jam packed at that time. There were whole sois of closed shops and at most of the open stalls, the staff/owners were sitting playing with their phones. No hustle or bustle as usual. Only saw maybe 6-8 foreigners in the hour we spent there and they seemed to be expats shopping for homewares or decorations. Normally it's packed with tourists.

I don't know what the stall holders are having to pay by way of rent but many of these places will be lucky if they see a single customer today. How long can this be sustained?

As far as international tourism goes, it is anyone's guess when that will start to revive, and how many years it will take to even get back to 20% of the former levels. I am guessing no more than 5 to 8 million tourists annually, even four or five years from now.

What many business organisations (hotels, restaurants, shops and tour companies etc.) really need to know is an accurate count of real tourists coming to Thailand. Any people entering on non-immigrant, elite or business visas should not be counted as tourists. Only those on visa exempt, visa on arrival or tourist visas should be counted as tourists. But maybe this would not serve the government's numbers very well.

    3) Agreed and hopefully other countries will condenm the current government for their actions

    4) Mostly due to burning in neighbouring countries at present exacerbated by cooler weather here

    5) Debt means nothing to most Thais. If a financial institution lends money then more fool them
