  1. Your price will be standard as you already know... go to a few conveniently located dealers and cha5 them up... We bought a Scoopy from the Honda dealer on Hua Khew Rd just north of Maya towards CMU... One thing I would ask of any place is if they will handle the title transfer... Which they should...

also as a sideline I would venture out to the Ruamchok second hand motorcycle market and look at used...

  2. My bet is that you will be able show up with an impressive stack of documents showing your income which the officer will pretend to review and then they ask to see banking documents from a Thai source to substantiate your income claim... If you can not come close to showing them a good portion of your stated 65K monthly income coming into Thailand to support yourself you will be looked upon dimly... No banking documents and you will be rejected... :coffee1:

  3. I do swift $2k transfers from my US brokerage account to Bangkok Bank NY Branch monthly and the online statement they are listed as “International Transfers”...

The only problem I foresee is that BK Bank only keeps 6 months history... I seem to recall someone saying a one year report could be requested from Bangkok main office but it would take several days to get ;-(.... Hopefully the banks will gear up and provide a letter similar to the 800k letter confirming total foreign transfers in for the previous year (for a 200 baht fee)... ????

  4. You might also look just south of Suthep Rd in the CM University area... It is a college area (this may or may not be appealing)... But it is a greener area next to the base of Doi Suthep so it cools down in the evenings quicker... Cheap eats and drinks in the area and an easy motorcycle drive to the Niman area...

Start from. The 7-11 on Suthep Rd near the University South Gate and motorcy out and check out this area... See map below...

If you are taken to hospital with no Wallet or phone who will the hospital/BIB contact.

A small piece of plastic in your shirt pocket is ideal.  Your phone (locked or not) will still get stolen and if locked and still on you is useless for anyone to identify you.

PS;  Your smart phone with all it's belts and whistles is a target for thieves etc.  A hidden piece of small plastic is not.  You do it your egotistical smartphone(ass) way I will just KISS with little bits of plastic.

You might consider having an emergency number tattooed on your left rear cheek... :coffee1:

  6. Not to hijack the tasty red cheese thread... but does anyone know where to buy some tasty buffalo mozzarella cheese?... The round kind usually in water... Rimping has one option option but it not really soft once opened...

  7.

I have had this one for over two years... Works great!!! Extra wide angle HD quality...

I really like the WiFi/App (Which os all in English) that allows you to easily check and see recorded video...

Whatever model you decide on go to YouTube and look for a video quality review before you buy...

  8. Google Maps as a dedicated GPS has a couple pitfalls... If you are driving in an area with no cell coverage the app can not download the maps needed... While it has an option of saving an area to the phone it doesn’t always work for rural areas... And even if you have cell coverage it can be slow to pinpoint you... I would suggest you get a App like Garmin which has the maps built into the phone app
