Apparently, (don’t shoot the messenger), Apple are releasing an update today.
That update might “unlock” the eSIM capability in the new range of phones.

So, allowing for time differences etc, the dual sim (eSIM) versions might work from Thursday onwards.

All will be revealed later by Apple.

Even if the eSim is working on the iPhone you would need a local carrier that offers eSim plans... I have not seen any in Thailand  yet...

And my guess is that any plans offered will be postpaid expensive plans as only high end phone will have eSim capacity initially...

Boontavoorn has a huge selection of crackle glazed tiles - Again go into the tile aera and take the escalator down stairs where the swimming pool & crackle tiles are... Also on the ground floor wonder all the way to the back and go outside and take a look at the marble mosaic and other tiles ????

Also for a nice selection of small decorative hand painted tiles go to Boontavorn on the superhighway (take the escalator to the basement level where the pool tiles are...

There is no information saying you can not go in at 10 or 2 and in the past reports tell it was done without problem. You have created a fantasy and are trying to sell it as reality.

Harding creating a fantasy... Just reiterating recent past... (just a few weeks ago a fight broke out in the linesitters in the wee hours of the morning there)... I will be the first to say well done if Immigration gets their act together and I can stroll in after lunch to complete my visa renewal... But until I hear a few more confirmed happy endings I will keep my visa agent as a favorite on my iPhone... :coffee1:

7.45am ticket obtained by one members assistant, is that close enough?

No.. As I said before one should reliably be able to show up (without the aid of an Thai “assistant”) from 8-10am (normal business hours) and be given an appointment for later that day to process a visa renewal...

Until this happens visa agents will flourish...

There is a lot of other experience posted which is different from Johnoko's and indicates that there are other alternatives, not requiring 6am arrival.

Also Johnoko did not say anything about it not being possible to arrive at 8-9 for a ticket, he just reported what he did.

But we have yet to hear from ONE Individual who has not used an agent and shown up at a normal business hour of after 8am and been given a queue ticket to process a visa renewal!...

One should be be able to show up at 8-10am and be given an appointment to process their visa renewal later that day... until that happens visa agents will flourish...

Nothing I have read indicates that is required.  Why do you think it is?

I was reply to Johnoko experience....

Can you confirm that one can show up at 8-9am and get a queue ticket?...

    Have the queue line disappeared?

Since I have never put 800k in a thai bank I was wondering what exactly one has to do with complying with the FACTA/FBAR reporting when doing one's income taxes at year end? Since I go back to the US for a couple of months each year do I need to get something from the bank where my 800k will be on deposit in order to be able to complete the FACTA/FBAR requirement? I don't want to go back to the US and not be able to complete the FACTA/FBAR requirement since I don't have the necessary info or documentation to complete it.

it is a simple online process...   :coffee1:

Just updating your bank book every month would do it. Immigration will accept a bank book as proof.

The bank books is such an archaic tool... And the update is hit or miss on wether it updates correctly... Miss a monthly update  and you lose that month transaction in your book and you can’t get the book corrected...

when I was in the Immigration office in Chaeng Wattana a couple of weeks back with my Pension letter from the British Embassy was advised to use the banking system next time

now arranging  the 40000 baht monthly transfer from next month from the UK  plus the marriage certificate for the next Yearly  Non O

no problem as they will see the money In and out as spending here anyway

can fore see no big problems

just get the letter plus a print out of the transactions from the bank showing the money in every month

The question/problem I see in this (which is what I will try to do as I have regular monthly transfers in exceeding 65k) Is that my bank (BK Bank) seems to only keep a 6 month record of transactions - I suppose I could go in at the six month mark and ask for a certified printout and then a second one right before I go to immigration- But knowing CM Immigration they will tell me the printout from six months ago is not acceptable as it is too old :coffee1:
