^^^ A 5,000kw diesel generator seems a bit overkill to run a couple computers... You should consider the noise and fuel economy of such a large unit... Is a ATS really Needed?... If you have a UPS for the computers they will stay on for 10-15 minutes after a power outage... this will give you time to manually start the generator and plug an extension cord from the generator to the UPS...

Maybe in their review of a few places in Chiang Mai they found more than a few 50yo American digital nomads working while on a retirement visas and decided a firmer visa approval process is needed (and well within their rules)

Here is a good source to see pricing and models available here in Thailand...
I think a small Kipor Inverter model like the IG2000 would work... You would need to work out the power needs and size wattage double... You might look into a UPS also to keep the system up while you get the generator going... Lazada.th.co has these

My bank (Bangkok Bank) only seems to keep 6 months balance records... I usually get this printout certified from the bank and have it with me when do my extension and have my US Consul letter of income...
Agree the last few years my agent looks at the bank statement but does not take it to submit to immigration...
My question is a 6 months certified bank record showing regular monthly transfers in sufficient or do they require a full year?... If so how does one get a full year when the bank only keeps the last 6 months on file?
The bank book seems unless for me as I never use it and when asked to have it updated the update seems to only add one or two previous entries and the present balance...

Also as a general rule I go in with the name of what I want on my phone - show them it and say “Oow GENERIC” (showing them I’m Cheap Charlie- ;-))... If they bring me anything in a box I am suspect that they are up selling me a expensive alternative - Then I ask Mee GENERIC Mai?... ?

There is a nice lounge in the Taipe airport on the second level above the mall area... ~$39 and they have showers... I always used it when coming from the US to Thailand... nice refresher after the long haul flight across the Pacific

When you say close to Nimman & Maya do you mean walking distance or will you have a motorbike?... Your price range is not going to get you “luxury” in that area... That being said my first stab at a place would be below... It’s tucked away from the traffic but within walking distance... The condos are set in thier own green area and the pool make for a great chill place...

You might consider a UPS that has an internal 12v battery that you could add a daisy chained larger 12v battery deep cell solar battery to it giving you a couple hours of run time for a computer...
