  1. I would see if the window tint on you windows can be removed?... is there a film on the inside that can be peeled off?... or is the glass itself tinted?...

A neighbor had Amnuay Air do his house windows

You might consider a DIY solution... you can buy the film from Lazada... just keep a low profile as this might require a work permit ;-)

  2. My personal experience was that I found a nice piece of land south of Hang Dong that the owner would sell for 400K... Great place to build a dream house... My plan was to have my gay partner who is Thai buy the land and then I would get an usufruct in my name...  I went to a very reputable Thai lawyer whos offices are on Huaykaew Rd... She told me that the Hang Dong land office would not issue a usufruct to unrelated parties such as ours... She said we would need to do a lease... She offered to craft a lease and go with us for submission her fee 20,000 baht... And we were also responsible for any fee the land office would charge... and that my partner could be liable for taxes on the rent income with the revenue dept.

I am still happily renting a beautiful house... :coffee1:

A few years ago Immigration rounded up and deported the smart ones... :coffee1:

Dunno about to Europe, but I'm flying with them to the U.S. soon, and just checked their elite fares (premium economy). The elite fares seem to be just about double what the regular economy fares are. Business, of course, is even higher.

Better comparison for price is their elite to say an economy plus fare... and realize Eva Elite gives you a business class seat not just a few extra inches of economy legroom - we’ll worth the price :-)... I regularly fly the BKK to ORD flight... and the ~4 hour layover in Taoyuan is perfect to go to their a lounge and take a shower between flights... their planes are spotless...

  6. Where they usually nail people is at the checkin/ticket counter... I have never seen them check anyone at the gate before boarding...

To reduce your risk I would reccomend you get their app which allows you to keep track of your flights and get boarding passes from their atm kiosks by using a barcode generated by the app thereby avoiding the need to go to the ticketing desk... and it also saves time waiting in one less line :-)

  7. Given you are doing video chat you are most likely going to use a lot of data... you might find a place that to live work that is near one of the carriers WiFi hotspots... these plans Have no limit to how much data you can use... but again you need to be close to a hotspot...

Also so take a look at this sim...

It is regularly posted for sale on the Chiang Mai Facebook for sale group... no one has reported it as bogus and would give you unlimited data ;-)

  8. The little mall on the 1st floor of the Big C/HomePro on Hang Dong road has an island stall in the middle of the Mall near Bangkok Bank... they sell car cleaning stuff, windshield wipers and have a have a display with all sorts of replacement light bulbs in little drawers...

  9. Living here for several years I never came across this place until a Thai freind of my partners invited us For lunch here - The Organic Coffee Bus.. it’s a huge place out past MeeChok... their specialty is salads but they have a huge menu of salads, pastas, sandwiches and ribs and grilled fish. They grow all the salad stuff on site behind the restaurant. Their menu is easy to read with pictures of everything... the place is quite busy but they have a very large attentive staff... we went back for diner (see pic)... prawn salad with wasabi dressing and half rack of baby back ribs...
