I use http://www.speedtest.net
As you can see the internet speed within Thailand is usually close to the advertised speed... The problem is that the vast majority of the "Internet" is not in Thailand and your access speed in areas where the internet is is usually only a fraction of what you paid for...
-
To the OP... Can you post the Internet speed from both a Thai (Bangkok) and foreign (San Francisco) router?

So why did the Chinese want these so called Jihadist back?... Seems like a better plan is to let the Jihadist go to Syria where they would most likely be killed?... Problem solved from the Chinese perspective...

I would go to Chiang Mai then fly to Krabi (Airasia is cheap if you buy in advance) from there you can do Ralay Bay, then ferry Koh Phi Phi, then back to Krabi and bus to ferry boat pier to Samui

I'm sorry, but it's not just a matter of setting up a table for the Immigration people and getting a copier/scanner for those who neglect to do their copies in advance. It would involve a fair amount of publicity, education and planning to be sure that people understand the ground rules of using the service.
It would also require CEC volunteers to be trained in the use of tasers....

Get the visa online at their Government website...

And I say to you Prime Minister, you should allow foreigners who live here the right of residency, to be allowed to purchase 1 rai of land to build a home on and card that shows they are permanent residents.
Gee, the silence is deafening!
I think the Japanese that live and work in thailand are more concerned with keeping thier favorite Karaoke bars open and staffed...

Probably due to my upbringing in a remote Zimbabwean village but I have never seen linen boxers. Ever.
So where do you buy your loincloths here in Chiang Mai?

I wouldn't go near anything in Thailand that required good design and maintenance in order to prevent death ... and seeing as good design and maintenance are a very weak in Thailand ... I'll wait till I go to Disneyland for my next roller coaster ride.
Your in a bit of a catch 22 as you would need to take an international flight to get to the nearest Disney Land...

If this place wanted to increase foot traffic they should build a foot bridge in the back across that klong to connect to Central World

Still plenty of sims at the 7-11 and here in Chiang Mai True still hands them out for free at the airport arrival...
Here is a great deal from True for 4G - but does not include wifi... (But in my experience their wifi alway sucks)

This link shows the type of gun he was carrying.
If that is in fact the revolver he was carrying, it's certainly not a toy and quite a handy bit of gear.
Yes Sir indeed!... Mae West tamed the West with one of those!!!

I believe the CBR250 has a small locked seat storage?...
You can open the seat storage and then lay the long part of the chin strap across the opening with the helmet dangling down close to the side of the bike... Then while holding the strap close the lid...
The strap is wedged under the seat and can't be removed without reopening the lid...
