  1. If these guys have any clue, they will check all the cell phone towers in that area (the bomb location, as well as where the suspect was picked up / dropped off) for a given time period, which would log what device made what call to where. By using these towers, and analyzing the information of hand offs, it isn't very hard to track down the phone used.

I have seen it used first hand, it works......

You sir have been watching too much Blue Bloods... coffee1.gif

  2. I looks like Nemanheiman Road at the Suthep intersection is being extended to meet up with the road that goes to the airport thru the military base?...

I assume if this is so they will allow tragic to pass without a sticker?...

This would be very convienent and free up some of the traffic around the moat and at the Airport a Plaza flyover ;-)

  3. They need at least 7% to absorb graduates and prevent unemployment booming.

the sun will not stop shining even if China's growth is zero. "they need at least..." applies to many countries (e.g. look at youth unemployment in Europe, especially Spain, Portugal and Greece) not to mention a bunch of "emerging" countries where this problem exists not only since a few years but since decades.

The sun may still rise but it would be a very dark and gloomy place. And I doubt that anyone would want to contemplate the prospect of China needing to repatriate some of the TRILLIONS they hold in the US.

I think the US Government would love to hand them their Trillion dollars in a great big sack and tell them to go buy something (US made) with it...

  4. ^^^ Yeah I was able to input and get to the "Pending" stage on July 25...

As of today August 12th it still shows as pending? coffee1.gif

I mailed it in after 5 day of "Pending"... It was returned in the post in 3-days as usual ;-)

Just for kicks today I emailed the "Help Desk" email on the pending receipt to inquire as to the status of my 2 weeks of "Pending" coffee1.gif

Here is the email: [email protected]

  5. I thought Buddha was after Christ by some 300 years but I'm afraid the belief that they could 'change the world' has been exploited as a means of control more successfully than their messages have actually changed the world.

Do you not live in Thailand?... In the year of the Buddha 2558...coffee1.gif

  6. Can you post a detailed listing of the costs... Breaking out components and install cost?... Thanks

When I said cost I meant the cost of the 256k install...

Detailed beakdown of cost of panels, inverter, install... Etc... Also is there a cost for PEA approval (new meter install) that is included or separate from the solar install cost?

  7. I always asually use Agoda and then once I find a place I like I go to trip advisor and look at the reviews and guest photos (that are more recent) and also use Trip advisor to compare prices of the hotel... I also go to the hotel website and check the price and look if they have promotions for long stays...

Usually I book thru Agoda unless there is another with significantly lower price...

I will have to ding Booking.com as they can not confirm a double bed... And on more than one occasion I have arrived at a hotel and been told that only twin beds are available in my class and can only have a double bed if I upgrade...

  8. ^^^ You might check out promotional pricing at the new PowerBuy that just opened on the Moat...

And I got a great discount when I bought my Samsung's at Robinson's in Airport Plaza - They gave me free upgrade of pipe covering too

Can you tell us a bit more on how the 9K BTU inverter are working out?... 9K seems a bit small?... Do they do a good job of cooling?

  9. A number of recent local posts have spurred me on to the idea of taking up the hobby of training my cat to travel and go out into public.

Presently Sua Noi our not so noi house cat has been content to lounge about the house. Anytime we take him out in the car he howls fearfully as he immediately connects this with either going to the vet and being poked or going to the cat motel where he had a very bad experience with a K-Nine at their swimming pool...

My goal is to train & socialize him to go out into public with us without fear with the end goal of doing our annual 20 hour road trip to Koh Samui for the farm burning season with a calm and relaxed cat...

I was thinking of starting with trips to parks, waterfalls and someone mentioned local restaurant/cafes that allow cats!?

    My questions are:

Where to find a suitable harness and travel pack that is NOT pink?

(I don't think I will try training him to ride on the motorcy commando/Thai style this year)

Are there any pet parks here in Chiang Mai where people take their animals to socialize?

Where are some good places that allow cats in public... Cafes would be nice or lunch venues?
