  1. I had to obtain a Residency certificate prior to the possible sale of my car.

Arrived at Promenda at 1.30, had no problems with parking, and into the Residency Office (no signs anywhere).

Two very helpful guys, they checked my papers, relieved me of 500baht for the 'free' document and I was out the door a few minutes later.

Then a repeat drive across the city today to collect the signed and stamped paper, and back in the car in less than 3 minutes.

The guys in the office were cheerful, joking and seemed happy to help.

    same my experience...but even faster...smile.png

I'm currently at Promenada after dropping off my certificate of residence form and documents. Took me longer to get the copies than to file the application. Still 500 baht and no receipt just as across the street and pick up tomorrow afternoon.

I can confirm that the office has moved (or at least the function has - no uniforms at the new location). That is where I was directed by the girls checked documents. One picture shows the place to file and the other shows the location relative to the copy shop. Both are to the left of the immigration office. Hope this is some help.

It appears to be the "independent" new agency office?

Do they offer a free certificate with a 30 day wait?

  2. Karadag thru his lawyer stated he was not in the county at the time of the bombing - He stated that he entered the country on the 21st (4 days after the blast) at the Thai/Lao border where he bribed immigration with 20K baht... It would seem the BIBs could easily confirm/disprove this by looking at the date stamp in his fake passport and tracking it back the border station where I assume there are some sort of security camera that recorded his entry...

But I have seen no reporting of any BIBs confirming or disproving the above statement... this might jeopardize their 3 Million baht narrative... coffee1.gif

If I were Ms Suansan I would stay well away from the scapegoating that is going on...

  4. I am so confused... How can they have Adem Karadag and the bomber now???

Karadag thru his lawyer has stated that he was not in Thailand at the time of the bombing (See Bangkok Post Article - Which can not be linked here ;-(...) - He gave very detailed account of entering Thailand on the 21th (4 days after the bombing) at the Thai/Lao border where he bribed the border guard????

This would seem to be easy to confirm by looking at the stamp in his fake passport and I assume there is some sort to camera system at the border crossing that could confirm this?...

Has this been disproved by the Police????

  5. Not sure where your at but here in Chiang Mai at the Pharma Choice Pharmacy on Suthep Rd they sell a little 100 pill jar for 40 baht...

Go to a bigger Pharmacy (Not Watson or Boots) and have the word Asprin 81mg written down to show them...

I have all my meds on my phone written down and photos of them too to show the clerk/pharmacist.

  6. Go hang out at the intersection of the Mae Nam Ping river bridge... Just as you cross the bridge going towards the moat the Dept of Tourism has installed a HUGE TV kiosk on the right corner that shows the security cams thruout the city (between very long ads for Toyota trucks)... If it is a nice day and not too hot you can also watch the BIBs shake down motorcycles for traffic violations as this is one of thier favorite spots too! ;-)
