It appears to be the "independent" new agency office?
I'm currently at Promenada after dropping off my certificate of residence form and documents. Took me longer to get the copies than to file the application. Still 500 baht and no receipt just as across the street and pick up tomorrow afternoon.I had to obtain a Residency certificate prior to the possible sale of my car.
Arrived at Promenda at 1.30, had no problems with parking, and into the Residency Office (no signs anywhere).
Two very helpful guys, they checked my papers, relieved me of 500baht for the 'free' document and I was out the door a few minutes later.
Then a repeat drive across the city today to collect the signed and stamped paper, and back in the car in less than 3 minutes.
The guys in the office were cheerful, joking and seemed happy to help.
same my experience...but even faster...
I can confirm that the office has moved (or at least the function has - no uniforms at the new location). That is where I was directed by the girls checked documents. One picture shows the place to file and the other shows the location relative to the copy shop. Both are to the left of the immigration office. Hope this is some help.

Do they offer a free certificate with a 30 day wait?

Loi Kroh Road hasn't changed much either...

Also if you do go to Doi Inthanon go up past the stupa peak farther up and on the left there as a parking area where the have a guides to do a really nice one hour loop walk.
-
Doi Pui is also on our list and will check out Mon Jam also.
Mon Jam is nice but on the weekend it can be packed as the Thai love the place as a day trip... Weekday is much less crowded... On the way there or back go to the home stop at Darapirom Palace Museum... If I recall its 20 baht and worth every satang!

Karadag thru his lawyer stated he was not in the county at the time of the bombing - He stated that he entered the country on the 21st (4 days after the blast) at the Thai/Lao border where he bribed immigration with 20K baht... It would seem the BIBs could easily confirm/disprove this by looking at the date stamp in his fake passport and tracking it back the border station where I assume there are some sort of security camera that recorded his entry...
But I have seen no reporting of any BIBs confirming or disproving the above statement... this might jeopardize their 3 Million baht narrative...

If I were Ms Suansan I would stay well away from the scapegoating that is going on...

I am so confused... How can they have Adem Karadag and the bomber now???
Karadag thru his lawyer has stated that he was not in Thailand at the time of the bombing (See Bangkok Post Article - Which can not be linked here ;-(...) - He gave very detailed account of entering Thailand on the 21th (4 days after the bombing) at the Thai/Lao border where he bribed the border guard????
This would seem to be easy to confirm by looking at the stamp in his fake passport and I assume there is some sort to camera system at the border crossing that could confirm this?...
Has this been disproved by the Police????

When the renter moves in take a picture of the meter with a cellphone... The day before the renter leaves take another photo (do this with the renter present)... Then multiply by whatever pre agreed rate and deduct from deposit return

I think the judge errered in the beginning on focusing on her and making her a martyr... He should have went after the county... Impose a $10,000 a day fine on the county government for violating the constitutional right of people... Give them 30 days to hold a special election... If after the 30 days they are still in violation up the daily fine to $20k/day

^^^ the vast majority of Americans think this kind of talk is nutty...

What is more interesting and somehat worrisome is that the police did little to stop this... My assumption is that while the cat is away at the UN the mice will play... The police are not aligned with the junta... This is just a well coordinated test run for a much bigger and longer lasting demonstration...

Christmas fund?
Here I think they call it making merit...

Not sure where your at but here in Chiang Mai at the Pharma Choice Pharmacy on Suthep Rd they sell a little 100 pill jar for 40 baht...
Go to a bigger Pharmacy (Not Watson or Boots) and have the word Asprin 81mg written down to show them...
I have all my meds on my phone written down and photos of them too to show the clerk/pharmacist.

You can buy thru Lazada online with no import issues...

I do not understand why they didn't move the WHOLE immigration to the Promenade location where the Lao/Myanmar office is... I was just there to get my certificate of address and it is huge and mostly unused... great large seating area, lots of parking (if they paved it)...
-
I do note that there is not even a poll option that this will make Immigration better...

Go hang out at the intersection of the Mae Nam Ping river bridge... Just as you cross the bridge going towards the moat the Dept of Tourism has installed a HUGE TV kiosk on the right corner that shows the security cams thruout the city (between very long ads for Toyota trucks)... If it is a nice day and not too hot you can also watch the BIBs shake down motorcycles for traffic violations as this is one of thier favorite spots too! ;-)

I have this Garmin and am very happy with it...

It is a little more expensive than above but it can be paired with your smartphone/tablet and with an app you can find a location on your phone/tablet and then send the coordinates to your GPS.

in Thailand News
Posted
"11 auctions have so far been staged to offload the old rice stock bought under the rice pledging scheme. Altogether 4.66 million tonnes of rice were sold for 50.6 billion baht at a combined loss of 65.2 billion baht"
So how much is still left to sell?
