  1. From the linked NYT article... It remains unclear how the text escaped more notice earlier, given that the Fox legal team was aware of it and other offensive texts written by Mr. Carlson. Fox’s lawyers had produced the text as part of the discovery process and were involved in the redactions. Mr. Carlson had even been asked about it during a deposition, according to several people who have read the unredacted transcripts of his deposition. Not sure why Fox's lawyers leaked this story to the NYT? And why now? My guess is that it is cover established now to support other legal strategies in other Fox cases, like Smartmatic and Abby Grossberg, et al.

  7. The "message", copied from the OP's linked article.... Tucker Carlson January 7, 2021 — 04:18:04 PM UTC A couple of weeks ago, I was watching video of people fighting on the street in Washington. A group of Trump guys surrounded an Antifa kid and started pounding the living <deleted> out of him. It was three against one, at least. Jumping a guy like that is dishonorable obviously. It’s not how white men fight. Yet suddenly I found myself rooting for the mob against the man, hoping they’d hit him harder, kill him. I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it. Then somewhere deep in my brain, an alarm went off: this isn’t good for me. I’m becoming something I don’t want to be. The Antifa creep is a human being. Much as I despise what he says and does, much as I’m sure I’d hate him personally if I knew him, I shouldn’t gloat over his suffering. I should be bothered by it. I should remember that somewhere somebody probably loves this kid, and would be crushed if he was killed. If I don’t care about those things, if I reduce people to their politics, how am I better than he is? Is this what the right-wing nut jobs mean by "Virtue-signalling"? Hard to believe this message was the straw. The "white men" thing is racist-y for sure, but hardly worth firing him for as he has probably said soemthing similar hundreds of times before.
  8. And how do you know the provenance of this "top shelf stuff"? The bulk of the discussion here is about foreign, illegally imported cannabis. The cannabis growth cycle from seed to bag is well known, including nutes - assuming nutes are even used as many are using organic/living soil and organic nutes. Local growers, from the most part, know how to wind down flowering going into harvest. How many strains have you sampled? Every single one gave you a headache? One might ask why you keep wanting to self-induce a headache? Have you smoked anything that didn't give you a headache?
  9. Well it is illegal to EXPORT cannabis from any State in the U.S., and from Canada. And it is illegal to IMPORT cannabis into Thailand. (yes, there is a loophole for "scientific research") So there's that. The import thing was a result of needing inventory to sell in the months immediately after legalization. It was a blip. And while there may always be imports, domestic production will probably get 75 - 80% of the market (in weight).
  10. Yes, some bad comes along with the good. AFAIK, her husband is Canadian, so the xenophobia is strange. I think the desire to blame foreigners is simply a character flaw, not limited to Thai cannabis activists.
  11. I just call them, place an order, transfer money to their account, they have motorbike delivery on call, then you pay for the delivery fee. I don't think t's ever taken longer than 30 minutes all in. So yes, they have good prices, based on dozens of reviewes here over ~ 15 years, and yes, they deliver. That's what the OP asked about.
  12. For the most part she's a positive force for the advancement of cannabis in Thailand. Does she like the limelight a little too much? Yep. Several of us have been telling her, since June 2022) that the bad actors start and end with the corrupt Thai officials allowing illegal cannabis to enter Thailand. Powerful forces are behind this. That said, domestically grown cannabis (indoor, outdoor, greenhouse/deps) is quickly replacing the imports. It's her schtick. They all have Thai partners, and pay for "services". Interesting that Thailand encourages foreign investment, and boasts about increases in foreign investment. But cannabis....

  14. I think any T-Mo or T-Mo MVNO supports 5G (in the U.S./Canada). I don't think phasing out of SIMs is a thing, but obvioulsy you can interface with T-Mo, they are in the process of finalizing their purchase of MINT and UltraMobile, when you return. T-Mo/MINT will issue you a new SIM upon request. UltraMobile PAYG supports 4G & 5G. Not sure what this question refers to? But many plans offer some number of SMSes as part of the plan. With WiFi calling there would not any international roaming fees for receiving SMSes.
  15. I was being somewhat facetious, just pointing out one of many, many, many challenges that everyone would face were Cannabis to be re-criminalized. There would have to be some lengthy amnesty period, otherwise the Police could instantly arrest a few hundred thousand people 'holding', growing, selling, etc.
  16. Southeast Pharmacy delivers. They always get good reviews here.
  17. Probably no more, or no less than if someone else "becomes" PM. Cannabis isn't really in the top 10 or maybe even top 20 issues for the electorate. Only Chuwit seems to be agitated, and he's not running for anything, and everyone knows he has a personal agenda. Yes, some have answeered quesitons about cannabis, but, AFAIK, none have Cannabis re-reform in their platforms? No one party will win a consensus, so they'll have to form a coalition government. I'm sure one or two 'results' have been work-shopped and whipped. Obviously Cannabis (and Kratom?) could be returned to the narcotics list, and the 4,000 cannabis prisoners freed can be returned to prison, with the stroke of a pen, by the 'new' Minister of Public Health, or the PM, or the Interior Minister. Some unknowns include the actual number of sitting senators, it is somewhat less than 250, maybe closer to 220, and how they might be "persuaded" to vote for a PM. And the break-out of the at-large seats (150) may be challenging to predict. PTP will gain the most seats, 150 - 200, but far from the number necessary to form their own government. PPP and UTN, together should garner enough seats (along with the senators) to be in the driver's seat. BJT, Dem and most of the smaller parties (~ 10-ish seats each/tops) MoveForward would get the second most seats by a party. BJT was, and remains a factor. So the questions remain: Will the next government immediately put cannabis back on the narcotics list, or put the current situation on hold, or revert to strictly medical only, or pass a bill. BTW, the Bill would only be the start, it will broadly define who has what responsibilities, with a massive Cannabis Control Board having the final say. Many organizations and ministries will have their hand in the control of cannabis.

  19. FWIW, Android uses the local IP address range 192.168.42.0/24 for WiFi tethering and 192.168.43.0/24 for USB tethering. Given that, and that the phone (likely) has a 192.168.1.x IP address from the house WiFi, there would no potential conflict. But I'm not sure you could cast to the TV as the phone and TV are on different networks, and I'm not sure if the Home app. can "see" that network. This is a similar dilemma we run into when using a VPN (with a far away IP address) on a mobile device, and trying to cast to a TV/Android box/Chromecast with a local 192.168.1.x address. You're probably getting up to 30 Mbps at the TV, so that's fine for 720p, which is what your package level offers, I think. You could try different video-quality (720/30 fps) videos on YouTube, and Stats for Nerds to see current performance, and Buffer Health. Just keep your phone on a charger, and make sure it doesn't get too hot. 4K/60 fps, connection speed ~ 177 Mbps. ~ 19 seconds in the buffer. Netflix has a stats for nerds function, I think, but you need a Bluetooth keyboard attached to the TV to invoke it. Connect a Bluetooth Keyboard to the TV from Settings< Remotes & Accessories < Accessories. While watching any video on Netflix, just press F4 on the Keyboard and you would get the Video Stats. Press the same key for turning off the Stats.
  20. There are Tizen OS versions of these two apps. available from Samsung, if not already loaded onto the TV. They also have Apple TV+, and of course, Netflix. Disney +/Hotstar and HBO Go are not available AFAIK. There are Google TV (and Android) versions of these two, which I sideloaded onto my Chromecast (4.0) w/Google TV. PITA though when they need to be updated.
  21. Thanks. I keep forgetting that you can share (hotspot) a WiFi connection. I never use that application feature, but for these managed WiFi services it's a great solution.
  22. Can we get a bit more detail? Genetics? Indoor or outdoor? Photos of the product?
  23. Yeah, I would have pitched a Chuck Grassley Sen R-IA, age 89, or Strom Thurmond Sen R-SC who served until age 100, joke. The jokes about Ronald Reagan's deteriorating mental capacities are legend. But maybe no need to be ageist?
  24. OK, so you didn't get the joke. What's your point? How about Jimmy Madison? Do you know who he was? If you got every other joke then I'd consider that a pretty good accomplishment. For you.
  25. The audience is The Fourth Estate, and Washington insiders. All of whom know who MTG (white-coated lady who yelled "liar" at President Biden during his State of the Union speech) is, and they got the joke. No offense, but you're not the audience for such humor.
