So you're a "Delegator". Who, and please be very, very clear, do you expect to "take appropriate action". The cannabis market is still in the nascent stage, not yet one year old, still in diapers and not yet walking. You seem to want it to transition into a fully mature adult instantaneously. That seems like an an unreasonable expectation. Is there some other country which has a model which satisfies your requirements currently? Just for our reference. Your requirements are reasonable. How we get there, and in what timeframe, seems undertermined right now. The domestic market including tourists isn't reallly large enough to justify the production and distribution volumes already in place. And there is no export market. So we're in the first bubble. That needs to burst, with a massive reset and consolidation, to move onto the second phase. That assumes there are no changes in the legal framework, as many expect Cannabis becoming medical only would be an early, quick success for a new government.

Move Forward Party to Submit 45 Bills for Amendments and New Laws
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Headline: Move Forward Party to Submit 45 Bills for Amendments and New Laws Sub-text: ...assuming they can form a government. FWIW I also "plan" to lose weight soon. It's good to have a plan, and the plan presented in their legislative agenda is comprehensive, but it's a moon-shot. And the reality is more like this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VM3N57zkZi0 -
Pita Limjaroenrat: Meet Thailand’s (probable) next leader
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And that just masks the permanent stench, which wafts back up after the "bereze" has died down. This post-coital period is about to end, and even the Honeymoon appears to be over. What happens if the first vote does not result in a government? Does PtP get a crack? Does MF get a second try. What happens if a second try fails? Assuming Pita/MF can form a government, zero platform issues will be successfully addressed and any government will struggle to govern as it is chipped away and undercut by the Powers that Be - major forces (business, police, miltary, courts, other) restrict any real reforms. Hope only gets you so far. -
Thai Immigration Bureau Intensifies Crackdown on Overstaying Foreigners
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So my takeaway from this "story" is that Immigration is now doing their job? I guess "Satisfactory" is the Thai version of "Exceeds Expetectation"? -
Still, that presents additional challenges, with not a lot of room for error, which the RTN seems well-trained for. Ever since the Manhattan Rebellion (1951), with the Thai flagship Sri Ayutthya sunk in the Chao Phraya River and PM/FM Phibul swimming to shore, the RTN has been the black sheep of the Thai Military Complex. And what is the "mission" for patrolling the Gulf of Thailand? Squid fishing?

First meeting... "OK who wants to be Minster of Defense, take one step forward." Room empties, crickets. And not just because of this issue. A committee will be formed. A study will be made. A submarine will be in service just in time to ply the streets of Bangkok, which by then will have been submerged by rising ocean levels.

Move Forward party backtracks on Chart Pattana Kla joining coalition
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yeah, having an Insurrectionist as part of your "reform" government is a bad look. Probably just a mistake made during this hectic, post-election honeymoon period, which is about to end. -

Senate panel to study Move Forward party’s PM candidate
bamnutsak replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I wonder how much "studying" was done when these Senators were "chosen" by Prayuth et al? IMO, all active duty and retired military & police persons who are Senators should abstain. Any with business affiliations which be construed as having a conflict of interest should also abstain. Of course that might leave ~ fifty-ish 'qualified' Senators. OK, bad idea as MF might not get to 376. -
With global cannabis decriminalization advancing daily, and especially with Thailand going full personal use in one quick step, Singapore probably feels like they need to send a "message" reinforcing their laws and punishments, if only to frighten people into compliance. Nothing frigthens people like the "long drop method" and a good neck snapping. Singapore residents can be/are tested for Cannabis use upon return, and they test positive they are shunted into a mandatory rehab program. Not sure how much rope or canes they use in these programs? https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/courts-crime/41-sporeans-and-prs-nabbed-for-suspected-drug-abuse-overseas-from-jan-to-aug-2022

Not in my experience (I use 190 C), greenish/brown, but this depends on the temperature and the device of course. I've never weighed the biomass before and after. Some say 60% is retained after dry herb vaping, and of the 40% "consumed" 20% (assumes 100% vaporization, which obviously doesn't happen) is THC. Is dry herb vaporizing 100% safe? Of course not. No is making that assertion. Welcome to Bangkok.

Can Pita Limjaroenrat Become Prime Minister? Three possible scenarios

BJT has said that they will NOT join the MF coalition due to their position on reforms of the Institution. But there could more "asks".? -
Can Pita Limjaroenrat Become Prime Minister? Three possible scenarios
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
MoveForward is going to have to pledge not to pursue ANY reforms of the Institution. Unfortunately, most of their voters support such reforms, so this will be seen as a failure of democracy. And if they cave on this they'll have to promise not to let Thaksin return. Unfortunately, most of the PTP voters support his return. Three scenarios MF and PTP cave Stalemate Turmoil+coup -
I only get two choices? Heck there were 67-ish choices on the Purple ballot. ???? The "right" thing? As a single Senator? Or can I tell all of them what to do? I'm not qualified to answer, but I'll take a run anway, assuming one vote only I'd cast for the coalition, as I consider that the only option so it is an up/down vote, and a down vote is not really a vote for anything. It'd be a vote for nothing.

Tell me again who fired the previous FBI Director, and nominited Mr. Wray? A tale as old as time, with a long history of trying to "manage" perceived political threats. Only recently did it come to light that the FBI tried to stich up members of the Racial Justice Movement in Colorado. They eventually got one plea, for having their informant give FBI money to someone to buy a gun from the FBI. Durham report finds FBI probe into Trump-Russia ties was flawed
bamnutsak replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Some Durham True Believers still hanging on. Amazing. Have a good cry, move on. As Dr. McCoy would say, "Damn it Jim, he's dead." -
So has he been speaking out about the Senate in general, since the latest Constitution was ratified? Most who voted for MoveForward probably think this guy is part of the problem. With this endeavor it seems like he's jumping on a train late. That's never a good look. IMO, he's just trying to remain relevant and remain in the pbulic eye because, well, he's vain. He should move back to whistleblowing, police corruption.
