Imported Cali weed grown with Plant Growth Regulators (PGR's)
bamnutsak replied to tomster's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
While everyone is entitled to their opinion, and that's all the OP is expressing - they provided zero facts - I think the OP is highly misinformed, and a bit hysterical. By their own admission they've gone down a "rabbit hole". High volume, machine-trimmed, vacuum-packed buds have a particular appearance, which is not indicative of the use of chemical PGRs. I've examined a decent amount of imported cannabis here in dispensaries, and none has had the look (lack of trichomes), preponderance of orange-ish calyxes, aroma/smell (lack thereof), or feel of what is puported to be PGR cannabis. Most commercial cannabis is grown indoors in the U.S. due too factors like licensing, security, cleanliness, climate control, year-round growing. I think this PGR scare-mongering was more of a "thing" ~ 5 years ago. -
Thailand eases restrictions on import of cannabis or hemp seeds
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
My interpretation would be no. Unless you have been granted a license to import cannabis seeds, and meet all the import paperwork mentioned in the article. "Deputy Government Spokesperson Traisuree Traisoranakul said that other restrictions previously stipulated remain enforceable, such importers being required to apply for an import permit from the Department of Agriculture." I understand this regulation to refer to bulk or wholesale seed importers and resellers, rather than individuals. Yes, you can order and accept delivery of imported seeds, with minimal risk. Many people report success. And there are dozens of legally approved importers, with large stocks and offerings. And there are quite a few grey market importers. You can get pretty much any strain here now, and if you can't, just ask an importer to get them for you. Yes, you will pay a bit of uplift. -
It would help if you could share any details on the strains you've dabbled with. Broadly speaking, an Indica-dominant strain may be less paranoia-inducing than a Sativa-dominant strain. Indica-dominant strains are widely available here. Your query is quite popular in the wider internet, where you would no doubt find some valuable info. For example... Google: Top 10 Marijuana Strains That Don't Cause Paranoia ^ Blue Cheese is (in most genetics) 80% Indica/20% Sativa.

Thaksin blames Gen. Prawit for the Tak Bai massacre

Imagining Abhisit blaming Prayut for the Bangkok Massacre. Lots of handwringing on this one though. Surely Prawit bears some, or the bulk of, the responsibility? -
Fake Gillette razor blades SCAM on most online stores Now! !@#$%

I was wrong, the Gillette FlagShip store is still on Lazada...for some reason I couldn't find it with a browserr/PC but easy to find using the Lazada mobile app. Mach 3+ 12-pack on sale currently for 679, from 849. Decent price. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i2860580917.html?spm=a1zawg.24863640.table_all.49.41464edfuutONH&spm=a2o4m.10453683.cutImages_1449346023.3 My last purchase was ~ 6 June 2022, two (2) 12-packs, 595 each. I think that was the 6/6 sale promotion. Maybe wait for the 11/11 sale promotion? -
“Tono’s Mekong swim” raises over 60 million baht
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Do we ever see any follow-up on these charity spectacles? Toon Bodyslam got some pushback on his announced charity run to benefit education (109 Km, 109 students benfiting) - I'm not sure that one ever made it past the idea phase? That pushback highlighted that these sorts of events are really just window-dressing, making people feel good for a day or two, but do little to addresss underlying issues. And why no follow-up on the money he "raised", for hospitals, running the length of the country in 2017? -
Good question. Notably Prayut does not stand for election as an MP, nor is he the leader of the PPP. The Thai people are like the frog and the pot of water. And I'm struggling to understand why there are no local (provincial) elections (other than Bangkok and maybe Pattaya). With governors appointed by Bangkok. Does the amart think the country folk are just not smart enough to be trusted with a vote?

10m meth pills seized in Thailand’s Maha Sarakham and Roi Et provinces
bamnutsak replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
Smart move by the police. Amazing how well informed they are on the routing of drug shipments. A few busts makes it look like they are doing something. Reducing the supply helps raise the price, which in some reports has dipped to 14 baht per pill, form the already historical low of 20 baht per pill. The country runs on meth, and it is sad that entire generations are meth heads. -
Caption of the photo... "Nothing to see here." I'm imagining the leader of a rival political party surviving such a scandal. They would have had all their assets siezed, forced to flee the country, their party disbanded, and found guilty of spurious charges in absentia. At least there's one thing he won't be getting when he retires.

Of course a police general gets reassigned for his alleged involvement in drug cartels. And Chop Doc Wisut gets released after just under 11 years, and could well be back to practicing medicine for all we know. The Ministry of Education is a cesspool of corruption. For the amount of money allocated to the MoE, per student, they should be churning out another Einstein every year or so. I get making an example of one administrator - it makes it look like something is being done, but this problem is a lot bigger, and tossing out an outrageous sentence is just a mockery of the already flawed Thai "judicial" system.

Scorsese was an Executive Producer for HBO's Boardwalk Empire, and he won an emmy for directing the pilot episode. Scorsese's 2019 Film The Irishman had a brief theatrical release and then gained an audience on Netflix. Some thirteen Scorsese films have streamed on Neflix. Four more are currently streaming on that platform. I assume a lot of his films are streaming on other platforms currently. In more recent news, ‘Gangs Of New York’ TV Series In Works At Miramax With Writer Brett Leonard; Martin Scorsese To Direct https://deadline.com/2022/10/gangs-of-new-york-tv-series-brett-leonard-martin-scorsese-miramax-tv-1235142088/#pagetop The real reasons for displeasure are more nuanced, one of which is pointed out in this post...

Police General Transferred Over Drug Allegations
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Prayut said he had a twenty-year plan so presumably he'll be tackling police corruption in the next ~ 12 years? No clue what he's been doing the last eight years though, besides becoming even more unusually wealthy. -
Thailand abstained on UN vote to have its voice heard – FM Don
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Today's excuse. Be nice if they could stick with one reason, but think there's a lot of blowback on this so they keep trying to justify the abstention while never acknowledging the initial vote FOR condemnation. Inconsistency, incompetence and appeasement - the bedrock of Thai "diplomacy". FM Don is way, way, way past his shelf-life. -
Just following the news reports of foreign criminals, who've fled their home countries with outstanding warrants or those who've jumped bail, arrested here. Seems like it's a weekly occurrence. Usually they're high profile, organized crime figures with internaitonal notices out. They seem to waltz into Thailand and go about their business. No need to be impressed.

Gillette used to have a Flagship store on LazMall. It looks like they've ceded that to Lazada to Lotuss' and Watsons now. Both have Flagship stores and sell genuine product. Buying the larger size, 12, usually results in the lowest unit price, ~ 62 baht per. These go on sale pretty much every mmdd sale, so 11 Nov next. -
AFAIK, this has been done in the second reading version, although I haven't seen a copy of that yet. I searched extensively yesterday, couldn't find anything, even leaks or partials. I've "heard" that there will be no marketing, social media promotion allowed, as is the case with alcohol. Age restriction of 20 or older. Online sales will be restricted entirely, or possibly tightly controlled with proof of age - this is an open issue. Haven't heard anything about time of day restrictions. There were some rumblings about the balance of controls between recreational and medical use. Time may run out, either in the normal parliamentary session, or if Parliament is dissolved. Which would be a good thing I think?

Prawit Urged To Stop Giving Aid To ‘Two-Faced’ MPs
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Amazing how so many parties are disolved by the Constitutional Court, with members banned from "politics" for 10+ years, for relatively minor violations of the massviely complex The 2017 Organic Act on Political Party. And other poltical parties seem to roll along like a two-week millionaire ringing the bell in every establishment far and wide. -
Freedom of speech is a right here, until you say something someone doesn't like. Then, for some reason, the police are tasked (via a civilian complaint) with restricting free speech. What a joke. Current Thai Constitution... Section 34 A person shall enjoy the liberty to express opinions, make speeches, write, print, publicise and express by other means. The restriction of such liberty shall not be imposed, except by virtue of the provisions of law specifically enacted for the purpose of maintaining the security of the State, protecting the rights or liberties of other persons, maintaining public order or good morals, or protecting the health of the people. • Freedom of expression Academic freedom shall be protected. However, the exercise of such freedom shall not be contrary to the duties of the Thai people or good morals, and shall respect and not obstruct the different views of another person. Note that the exceptions far outweigh the basic right. One could be brought up on charges for complaining about the weather.
