Cabinet set to decide on 300 baht fee for foreign tourists
bamnutsak replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
This is not about insurance, that's just a smoke-screen. Unpaid medical bills will presumably be reimbursed from the MoT&S Slush fund to the MoPH Slush fund, and then maybe, the MoPH will increase their funding for hospitals, based on their claims. This scheme is ripe for corruption. Do not assume this is being implemeted for reasons other than graft, and corruption. Will a few baht trickle down to some politicos province? Maybe. -

No. But your credit card company MAY charge you 3% as the fee will processed in THB. -
No Coup Taking Place, Says Defence Ministry Spokesman
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Back in late 2013 and early 2014, Prayut was then the army chief and Yingluck Shinawatra prime minister. Then army chief Prayut kept denying, denying and denying to the press. He reassured them that there won’t be any coup. I lost count as to how many times Prayut had denied but I think 10 times, give or take, would be most reasonable. Then boom came the May 22 coup led by Prayut. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/opinion/2020/09/13/opinion-why-there-may-or-may-not-be-another-coup-soon/ Lips are movin' -
Cabinet set to decide on 300 baht fee for foreign tourists
bamnutsak replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I think we can all agree that 300 baht is not the REAL issue, or that it presents a financial burden for tourists, save the zero dollar tours where it will eat into their margin. This isn't really about 300 baht. Or is it about unpaid medical bills. Or is it about maintaining and improving tourist attractions. It's about a 5.4 BILLION Baht (annually, based on 18 m tourists) slush fund for the MoT&T's minister and PERMANENT Secretary, where there will be zero accountability. There's a reason Phipat is pushing this, and pushing it now. An interim government, and a new one longer term will mean his cash grab will be halted. I imagine he needs to share this fund with other to insure passage. If this goes forward you can bet other ministries will jump on the bandwagon. MoE will charge a "Traveler Fuel Surcharge". MoPH will charge a "Traveler Health Fee". Note that they are NOT increasing the PSC from 700 baht to 1,000 baht. Rather they (with Krung Sri Bank) will use an app to insure payment is made prior to boarding. Extortion, Thai style, stealing in plain sight, but with a smile. -

In their depositions for this case, Donald Trump pleaded the fifth over four-hundred times. And, evidently in hopes of gaining his father's aproval (at long last?), Eric took the fifth some five hundred times. Eric, we're often told was "running the company" during Trump's presidency. Taking the fifth in a civil case can be used as an indication of guilt. Maybe Jared can kick in some of that Saudi billions to help cover Ivanka's share of the financial penalty. In his own words... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMyh7ko9L2g Tough couple of days for Trump, legally. Gets slapped by the special master, gets slapped by the 11th Circuit, gets slapped by NYS AG.

If you are comparing Fastbuds Orange Sherbert Auto (Sativa-dominant) and Barney's Farms Orange Sherbert Photo (Indica-dominant), these two are completely different strains, with completely different lineages. They share a name only. They both, under ideal growing conditions, probably display the same orange-colored pistels, hence the name. Autos, a result of Ruderalis' traits, are not higher or lower in THC, broadly speaking.

Thailand’s teachers accumulate combined debts of ฿1.4 trillion
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
As if teachers are the only group of government employees swimming in debt as a result of easily-issued loans. They're just the loudest screaming for debt relief. Why do you think there is so much vying for government jobs here? -
I think you'll find that this will be a mellow event overall, unlike the usual temple/community fair fueled by amphetamines and male aggression. But assuming you live in Buriram you can simply stay home to avoid the "junkies". There was a similar but smaller event back in June in Nakhon Pathom, with music, camping, comraderie and retail business showcase. https://coconuts.co/bangkok/features/smokers-spark-up-openly-at-bangkoks-delayed-but-delightful-420-festival-photos/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFftQw0f_Z8

You might think that with a massive prison population (~ 300,000), with the majority (~80%, 85% for women) incarcerated for drugs (mostly methamphetamine). And with near daily busts of multiple millions of meth tabs, that "drugs" would be an "issue". This was one of the smaller busts recently (yesterday). https://thailand.postsen.com/local/51890/More-than-250000-pills-of-methamphetamine-seized-300-grams-of-ice-worth-more-than-30-million-baht.html But no. Cannabis is the scourge. Because? BTW, with Cannabis ( and Kratom) decriminalization some 3,000 - 4,000 prisoners were released. (So 1% of the prisoners were in for cannabis violations.) If you want to challenge the BJT do so on their performance with MoPH and MoT. The activity this article describes is just theatre. The powers that be here do not want to address the real drugs issue.

Yes, those dates are correct. I think tickets are 700 baht for one day, and 1,700 for three days. But that may be "early-bird" pricing.

I think these units come in two distinct models: Voltage: 220-240 v / 50-60 Hz or 110-120 v / 50-60 Hz. Where do you live, or which version do you have? (Look on the bottom of the unit.) Obviously you'd need the former for it work properly here. I doubt that there is anyone, be it a Thai embassy staff or even a government official, who will be able to answer your question. The "law" here is highly subjective, and open to interpretation. Besides duty, or confiscation, you could face criminal charges as well. I wouldn't bring such a unit, but if you're staying for a long time and cannot function without it, then by all means, pack it in your bag.

Yeah, as in "who's the dip s**t that came up with this name". Snus & Cruz Sip or Dip In the U.S there's a company/product called Cannadips. These are somewhat popular in CBD format, but dipping in general is not that popular for consumption. The whole mouth cancer, associated with tobacco dipping, thing is probably a turn-off. Not sure who the target audience is here for this product?

Can you DM/PM the name of the shop? I asume it's not Bloom? https://bloom.express/ Mark-up on products "imported" from U.S. on flower isn't too steep (1.5 - 2X). On carts/pods it's ~ 2.0 -2.Xx, and on gummies it might ~ 3x or 4X. Locally produced gummies may be more reasonable priced, but getting detailed information on these can be challenging. You can search on FB, and after a day or two you'll start seeing options. Same goes for cookies and brownies. I haven't looked for gummies, but do stumble across them as a few shops I follow offer them, but only imported. Gummies are a pretty small market here as far as I can determine.

Should I use a bong with my weed vaporizer?
bamnutsak replied to funlovinkid's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
You may be using the wrong technique. Can you describe the vapor which you exhale? On a scale of 0 to 10, how visible is it? Can you smell or tasted the vapor? If so, how does it compare with the smell of the freshy ground cannabis? How easy is the draw? Do you labor at all to get a draw? Can you describe the cannabis you smoked? Which strain? Did you use a grinder? Soft, pliable, fluffy, color=???? Can you describe the material after you vaped it? What did it look like? Color, compared to what went in. Use quality cannabis. Grind it. Experiment with lower temps Draw straight into your lungs counting to 5 or 10, and then exhale immediately. Try not to cover the air inlet with your hand/fingers. I've never coughed, or felt the urge to, using various dry-herb vaporizers. I've never had to "season" one. Never experienced plastic fumes. Maybe that applies to certain models and brands? Now real smoking (same product), or a vape pod, I do cough sometimes. I have to be very careful with a vape pod. It's 90% THC so the same technique but very small draws. -
No, not unless it's a really big cookie. You'll have to define "a 2 gram cookie". Is that a cookie which weighs two grams? Or a single cookie made with two grams of cannabis which was extracted as an additive/ingredient. Flour, sugar, butter, vanilla extract, baking soda, salt, chocolate chips and cannabis. Again, this is why we need real references.

Multiplication. So a one gram flower with 25% THC has (at a maximum) 0.25 grams of THC. Total cannabinoids would be fractionally higher.

Mechai Earned 11 Million Baht Working For Prayut-Led Coup Junta

Owner probably padded the unit count, maybe from the previous reading or lapse thereof. Is there a washing machine? Or combo condensor dryer? 8 baht/unit is standard owner-tenant rental mark-up. Owner may also have added extra in advance of the coming increase. I think you should be closer to 500 units, or 4,000 baht. Assuming you like the place and the base rent I might negotiate 8 baht/unit for the remaining term. Many owners will be upping the rate to 9 or 10 baht per unit soon.

Can you share your links/photos of these products? These would help address your question. My thoughts... Milligram - mg refers to nearly pure (~90 % of whatever they yield is on their extraction method) THC extract weight g (gram) - refers to the equivalent biomass (flower) weight used mL - refers to the volume of the oral tincture, with a typical dosage being the number of drops from the dropper onto the tongue These are technically illegal, save for the GPO tinctures. There is no standardization, and testing, as there may be in other more cannabis-normalized countries. What are you looking for? What have you used elsewhwere? Need to see the advert to answer this question. You could also ask the supplier. Once you look for these product on FB you'll see a lot on offer.
