Asssuming the van has a license then they can still sell flower. Whether they can get the "appropriate" license might be an issue? Not sure what new criteria might be required. On premises smoking, without some sort of additional rules/licenses seems like a no-no. Seen many shops previously offering this service eliminating it. On-line sales prohibition will severely impact small Thai growers, waiting to see how this is enforced. Some say that as long as they do not advertise a product with a price it is OK. But this one needs to be clarified, and if the Police are instructed to enforce this, and what the first arrest looks like. Most of these controls were in the Cannabis Bill. Online sales was allowed, but with biometric age verfification. There has been quite a bit of public information and debate on this new edict, with quite a few lengthy discussions, and a few Live Facebook gatherings. The Police are busy with APEC, and people are still digesting this, so I wouldn't expect a sea-change this week.

What hosting the APEC Summit means to Thailand

"You can't quit me." Honestly what are the options? No one else is acceptable - must be RTA, from the proper faction - to the ruling class, and has the brand recognition. They need another coup, with the requisite slaughter of citizens, then the General who ordered that can be the next PM. Must be "battle-proven". Current RTA headman, Gen. Chalermpol Srisawat, said last month in an interview, "The armed forces follow orders from the government that was formed through political means but we do not get involved in politics.", presumably with a straight-face.

Did you sell your phone? If so can you describe the successful process which you used?

So they let these gangs infiltrate the Kingdom and establish a powerful foothold? And now they're "doing something"? I suspect now it's more about negotiating the proper commsission and establishing the guidelines about what is allowed. I'm kind of surprised the traditional Thai Mafia has allowed these foreign gangs to flourish?

Can you post a photo of the CBD Oil you're taking? Or maybe a link? I'm guessing you're in the U.K. now but want to line up a similar offering to cover you while you visit Thailand? It may be legal to travel with your CBD oil, as long as the THC % is below some level (3%?). It's on you to research that possibility. Having a copy of the Doctor's prescription may also be required. There are very few truly 'legal' tinctures, and 'legal' has many meanings in Thailand. Any legal ticnture would have to come from the MoPH/DTAM, and /or be approved by the Thai FDA. There has been more movement on medical Cannabis from straight-up medical doctors and hospitals to DTAM, The Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine (under the MoPH). Although I'm not sure how much DTAM wants to treat foreigners? Maybe Google DTAM and CBD Oil. DTAM operates clinics from within the naitonal/MoPH structure. At the next level, descending, are semi-/quasi- "clinics" and "wellness centers", offering Cannabis treatment. At the bottom of the barrel are people pedaling "oil" on-line. This question gets asked a lot here. I've yet to see anything legal, legitimate, safe, approved and reliable mentioned that is "real". But I don't really follow this topic much. People often make vague comments about CBD oil, usually with secretive references, or third-party "experiences", but those are of course worthless. Understanding EXACTLY what it is you're using now would go a long way towards finding something comparable.

I'm 95% confident that a deal will be struck. It sounds like it might land between 1.1B and 1.5B baht. The loss of face would be epic were this deal not to get done. The problem with letting this go late, in 2018 they had a deal 2 ~ 3 months before the first match - is that sponsors will get a lot less bang for their buck. They could have been tieing in marketing efforts, launching new products, building brand awareness for months leading up to the event. Now? No one will pay much attention to those companies which might end up throwing a few hundred mil into the beggars cup. I think the regime has just grown even more fat and lazy - the Thai-way, and there was no senior level champion.

More than 57,000 passengers arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport yesterday
bamnutsak replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
That is not accurate as it counts code-shares, so for some flight, it might be listed as four separate flights, all with separate and disticnt code-share flight numbers. And you've got cargo flights counted. To get an accurate figure you really need review each flight. I counted 247 international flight arrivals on 11 Nov. I excluded cargo flights. This varies slightly day to day, because not all flights are dailies, some are 3x/4x weekly. -
Can you describe what is is you take, or have taken, maybe with a photo or link? Without any information this is like monkeys throwing darts. My take on this subject, and it comes up very often here, is that if there were a good tincture out there one of us would know about it. AFAIK, we don't.

Well, as of now, no one is "paying for the broadcast rights". That's the problem some are looking to address. If you say so, then it must be true. Meanwhile in the real world we'll be watching streams.

This was in response to the swimmers earlier this week... https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/40021963 The police presence in the park this morning was massive. Feel for the chaps wearing the full riot gear. I udnerstand the need for security but the overwhelming presence makes it seem like the government has now real power without force. Lots of BMWs in the neighboorhood, checking foreigners. Thailand's constitution guarantees free spech except, but, if someone decides they don't like what protesters are saying. Section 34. A person shall enjoy the liberty to express opinions, make speeches, write, print, publicise and express by other means. The restriction of such liberty shall not be imposed, except by virtue of the provisions of law specifically enacted for the purpose of maintaining the security of the State, protecting the rights or liberties of other persons, maintaining public order or good morals, or protecting the health of the people. Academic freedom shall be protected. However, the exercise of such freedom shall not be contrary to the duties of the Thai people or good morals, and shall respect and not obstruct the different views of another person.

Has the world gone woke or mad
bamnutsak replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Neither. "Woke" is a lazy, perjorative word/idea/concept, which self-identified aggrieved people use to whine. The world is changing, progessing. Personaly I'm optimistic. I think for the AseanNow demographic: old, white, western, straight, male, it is too much for them to handle. You self-select media for consumption, or it gets served to you based on yuour preferences. Maybe take a break from the internet, or look for more positive happenings. -
You want to watch for free? You want to watch every match, live? You want to watch at home, where you have broadband internet access? I would definitely get a paid VPN service ASAP, maybe just spring for three months service. A reliable VPN will give you more access to more potential streams which might be geo-restricted, especially those from certified broadcast partners. Then maybe look for a short-term paid subscription from an authorized partner. Hulu, Fubu, Sling, YT TV, etc. With a reliable VPN, and a US-issued IP address, you can use USTV which is FREE, and which has FOX and FS1, which combined will show every match. https://worldsoccertalk.com/world-cup-tv-schedule/ https://ustvgo.tv/fox-hd-live-streaming/ https://ustvgo.tv/fox-sports-1/ If Thailand does not obtain broadcast rights then I'm not sure how well streaming might work.

I can't see the Administrative Court getting involved in this, certainly not while legislation is pending in Parliament. Maybe if nothing happens in the next five years they'll re-visit it. "Smith Srison, a member of the Medical Council of Thailand, and the opposition Pheu Thai Party, Move Forward Party, and Seri Ruam Thai Party jointly filed a petition with the Administrative Court" Just another group of attention-starved Thai "professional" politicos looking to seem relevant.

Are you sure that the Fast-Track area is not also similarly taxed with travelers? I think the service is available to anyone for 1,999 THB. Note that it is open to quite a few categories... -
There are quite a few videos on Youtube of Soi 11 just in the last few days. I saw one Cannabis truck in the two videos I scanned. Soi 11 has become an ecclectic mix of Pattaya-like beer bars, roped night clubs and a massive amount of independent sex workers. I assume it qualifies as part of the Nana Entertainment "District"? What specifically do you think is "bad"? Just the cannabis aspect? The sex workers? What did you like about Soi 11 "before"? Smoking Cannabis in public where it causes an annoyance is illegal. If you are annoyed then file a police complaint. The Police have been specifically instructed to avoid interactions, esepcially with tourists, involving their public (or private) possession/use of Cananbis. Again, unless someone files a complaint the Police are not going to have issue with Cannabis use.

I wouldn't describe it as "back-tracking". Back-tracking would be to put Cannabis back on the Narcotics List, reincarcerating those already released from prison for cannabis convictions and arresting the million or so Thais engaged in the production and distribution (and use) of cannabis. None of these will be happening unless there is some sort of coup, and the new interim government thinks Cannabis is an issue which needs to be addressed immediately. Restrictions were added on 16 June after the 9 June "freeing up of cannabis". It was planned to have a Cannabis Bill passed in Parliament by now, which would provide to additional restrioctions immediately and a Cannabis Board overseeing the issue going forward. Thursday's additional restrictions are simply meant to blunt opposition political parties' posturing, and to show that the MoPH is "controlling" cannabis sufficiently. The exact ramifications of the new restrictions remains to be digested, with online marketing and sales possibly being impacted, but I'm not sensing some seismic shift in policy or enforcement. Some online vendors already require biometric proof of age, although I can't say I'm eager to provide a copy of my passport. Thai DL maybe.

New edict tightens controls on non-medical use of cannabis in Thailand
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Still digesting this, it really just clarifies some limits imposed on 16 June, and adds a few more. Will need some clarification on things like... license to sell, is this the same requirement as before, or a new licenses/process? "distribution via electronic channels or computer networks" - would seem to ban all online sales and marketing This would seem to be Anutin/BJTs answer to opponents? Google translate...
