  1. A foundational aspect of the Thai "legal" system, codified in The Law of the Three Seals. People and institutions higher up the pyramid have more power than those below. What's the point of having that power if you're not willing to use it. The threat is enough to keep the masses in line.
  2. The best part of this right-wing MAGA low-IQ ginned-up conspiracy is that these morons have painted themselves into a corner. Now they have to root AGAINST the middle-American, fly-over state team with a star named "Travis", coached by a universally loved, admired, and respected sexagenarian coach, and root for Nancy Pelosi's hometown team. This Culture War battle has been a devastating and embarrassing loss for the MAGA conspiracy crowd. They have yet to meet a rake they haven't stepped on. Is it Doofuses or Doofii?
  3. Spot on. Simple public relations which should be the core competency of a service-oriented business. And reach out to the customer, who it appears is a TG FF, and explain the details. Apologize for the delay/diversion, offer a diversion certificate (probably already done) and ask for their understanding of the details. And ask them to post a follow-up. WIn-Win-Win. Threatening to sue a customer should never be an option. People say stupid things every day, just look at this board. You don't see everyone threatening so sue each other. I think that the escalation and poor response to this incident was exacerbated by the Pilot/Captain's huge Facebook following/page. https://www.facebook.com/p/กัปตันไฟซอล-บิน-กิน-เที่ยว-Captain-Faisal-100044277511744/
  4. This is a good way to get society to self-censor. Veering back to pre-1932 in baby steps.
  5. Hence, the right-wing low-IQ pundits are afraid of Ms. Swift's efforts to get more people to register to vote and to vote. I think we agree.
  6. Anti Hero, which also includes the retrospective, self-aware line, which Trump would never, ever understand. It's me, hi / I'm the problem, it's me
  7. Airing this continuing feud between the PM slash Finance Minster and the BoT in public seems like a huge mistake, on the part of the "government".
  8. I think he's fixated on teenage girls.
  9. With a couple-nickname like "Traylor" you'd think the MAGA types would be all in on this power couple.
  10. I wouldn't say I'm a fan, certainly not a Swiftie, but yes, I enjoy her music immensely and respect her capabilities as an artist, entrepreneur, and business person.
  11. Meh. I think you're a bit out of touch on this one, and best to remain on the sidelines rather than show how clueless this take is.
  12. Strange that Kanye West is omitted. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhcAbXx7fIA Oh, right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCEqOqxf-bY
  13. For the most part, the right is dragging her because she encouraged people to register to vote. For some reason, the right prefers that fewer people vote. Her counter-endorsement of Marcia Blackburn, or endorsement of Biden in 2020, or potential endorsement of Biden in 2024, isn't the issue flummoxing the right-wing low-IQ pundits and voters.
  14. And how will a "Declaration" facilitate solutions? Just form another committee. The rainy season can't come soon enough.
  15. Reba McEntire is singing the national anthem. There is some chatter, now that it is confirmed that Ms. Swift can make it to Las Vegas after her last show in Tokyo, and before her next show in Melbourne, that they might sing it together. That would be crazy. The current line is 89.5 seconds.😃 Usher is headlining the halftime show, and there will be guests but those haven't been announced AFAIK. The Right-Wing Conservative Echo Chamber is ramping up the culture war because they don't want to talk about issues, especially the right to choose, and their candidate is a proven loser. Deflection and distraction. Why they've taken up this battle with Taylor Swift, and by extension the NFL and Women, is difficult to understand unless they only want aggrieved white, male voters. They just can't help stepping on rakes.
  16. Well, she is about to kick off the Japan/Asia/Australia legs of her record-breaking ERAs Tour, followed by a long jaunt through Europe later in the year. https://www.taylorswift.com/tour/ I'm sure that can be woven into the tapestry of an overarching conspiracy Theory.
  17. I think this is being a bit harsh on right-wing entertainment celebrities like Jesse Watters and their audience.
  18. Uhm, Rupert Murdoch is on Line 2 for you. Fox Entertainment Fox Broadcasting Fox Sports (incl. NFL) and of course their "political" wing: Fox News.
  19. It's a hoot to watch the Conservative Media Echosphere glom onto this, and other, Taylor Swift conspiracy theories. Just when you think they can't make themselves look sillier they go ahead and exceed expectations. This one is rich... Why is Swift being accused of “idolatry”? Perhaps one of the wackiest culture war attacks on Swift has come from Newsmax, where host Greg Kelly — in-between breathless coverage of Donald Trump — slammed Swift from a Biblical angle. “They’re elevating her to an idol,” he said of her fan base. “Idolatry. This is a little bit of what idolatry, I think, looks like. And you’re not supposed to do that. In fact, if you look it up in the Bible, it’s a sin!” https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/taylor-swift-ring-wing-backlash-conspiracy-theories-1235891772/ For those complaining about Ms. Swift's exposure during NFL telecasts note that in AFC Conference Championship game she was shown for a total of 24 seconds, during a 3+ hour telecast. The Chiefs' win over the Ravens last Sunday was the most-watched AFC Championship Game ever, according to CBS. The game averaged 55.473 million viewers in the early window (3:03-6:12 p.m. ET) https://theathletic.com/5238162/2024/01/30/chiefs-ravens-afc-championship-game-ratings/
  20. AFAIK, the moratorium instigated by HM King and Prayuth was short-lived, and rescinded some four months later, when protests started hotting up. Prayuth's words were revealing though... “You can see that today that we have not been using 112 at all.” he told reporters on Monday, “You know why? It was because the King was kind enough to instruct that it should not be used.” In that they "use" 112 as a cudgel, you know, to defend themselves against a 15-year-old young woman holding up three fingers.
  21. Paetongtarn sending Srettha out onto the frozen lake first.
  22. Corruption charges at the Rice Department, Livestock Department, Rainmaking/Agricultural Aviation. What do these have in common? The Ministry of Agriculture, headed by the squeaky-clean Capt. Thamanat.
  23. There was a time... Prayut said HM King told him not to use lese majeste laws against civilians; opposition calls for its abolishing King Vajiralongkorn has instructed the Thai government not to use Section 112 of the Thai Criminal Code, or the lèse-majesté law, to prosecute civilians, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha said on Monday. “You can see that today that we have not been using 112 at all.” he told reporters on Monday, “You know why? It was because the King was kind enough to instruct that it should not be used.” https://www.thaienquirer.com/14457/prayut-said-hm-king-told-him-not-to-use-lese-majeste-laws-against-civilians-opposition-calls-for-its-abolishing/
  24. The district/sub-district police (RTP) know about every single club, gambling den, and underage sex club within their jurisdiction. Heck, they are "inspecting" these facilities daily/weekly for "collections". This is why it is the MoI/DOPA is raiding these establishments. Eventually, DOPA will be corrupted, if they haven't already.
