  1. You would not need to move to Tak to stay ahead of Pattaya police.
  2. Have they advised motorcyclists, baht bus drivers, and the ubiquitous food delivery drivers, if not, then please do not go ahead with the plan.
  3. Her excessive speed, with a baby in her arms is obvious. I specified “junction” in my comment, not side street. Motorcycles, regardless of the danger they are putting themselves or others in, will NOT stop and look for oncoming traffic.
  4. Not looking as they enter main roads is normal behavior here, the lady on the motorcycle is driving too fast as she approaches a hazardous area, a junction, especially considering her babies.
  5. I drove to Udon Thani today, a 3.5 hour return trip, I have never seen such a palling driving standards in my life. Very few driving under the speed limits, lane changes just for the sake of it, undertaking when there was no need. The list goes on. Not a single policeman in sight. The lack of care and attention is beyond belief.
  6. Especially when some of the questions make little sense.
  7. I recently , on a Saturday afternoon, had a white van pull up outside our rarely used back entrance. An individual wearing a quasi-uniform approached saying that I had a problem with my visa. I laughed in his face, saying I renewed my extension of stay (11th year) last week. He showed me a printout of an obviously older Sino-Thai gentleman asking if this was me. I told him it obviously was not. He asked to see my passport, I showed him, but did not release custody of it. He apologized and left. A very strange encounter. My local Immigration office have never carried out a home visit in those 11 years.
  8. All the grannies at our local market in Issan are discussing which 5 star hotel in Bangkok to choose for this latest holiday.
  9. It is absolutely the case, happened to me last year, presented no problems with Immigration. Obtain your new passport ASAP.
  10. Next time he could visit a hotel in Chiang Mai to use the VFS Service.
  11. One thing you must do, is place, say 2000 baht in a white envelope, and pass it to the deceaseds wife at an evening prayer session, making sure that people see the gesture.
  12. It is generally becoming more difficult to do anything on this site. Very heavy on adverts, the CSS element needs substantial review.
  13. When I travel by bus to Udon Thani, about a 2 hour trip, I never have some local sit beside me, I quite like that. If only, it worked on flights.
  14. They put mayonnaise on a pizza I ordered in Nong Khai, never returned.
