I am surprised to learn that "Thai Visa" is offering to extend visas for tourists.
How is this achieved ?
There is also other errors of fact contained in this advert.ie " For NON B. NON O. you get 60 days, 90 days.
Perhaps it is no wonder that people are confused ...........

As a "foreign" lady married to Thai there is no requirement for either of you to demonstrate income or capital.
You will need a visa/extension of stay based on your marriage.
Others with more knowledge than me will, I am sure answer your questions about citizenship.
-
Be careful with your travel card. I was using my old one and after I got the re-entry permit, they took out my old travel card (not sure why). After my red face at the immigration desk, I had to go back and fill in a new card.
What is this Travel Card you filled in ?
If you are talking about the departure card TM6 the immigration officer will remove this from the passport as you depart. A new TM6 is completed on the plane/on arrival.

You could obtain a single entry Non "O" visa based on the marriage. During the last 30 days of the 90 days the visa permits apply for an extension of stay again based on marriage.
Should not be a problem
-
As a matter of interest where does one obtain a 30 day "visa"
-
You have a "visa exempt" entry not visa.
Have you extended your original permission to stay at immigration? Another 30 days can be had for a fee of 1900 Bht.
There are no 30 day visas which can be obtained in Vientian.
-
With the !marriage certificate, getting the non-O visa is simple. You can even apply for it at the local immigration office (change of visa), then with proof of 400k in your Thai bank account or income of 40k per month get the one-year marriage extension
Sorry to be pedantic but visa "conversions" can only be done in Bangkok
-
If you secure a one year multiple entry visa from Savanakhet ,Laos the visa will provide 90 day entries for one year. You would have to leave the country every 90 days, enter another country and return for another 90 day entry.
Travel arrangements are your decision but you will need to budget for the cost of visas into a second country.

And I see this unhelpful advice related to O-A visas is still boilerplate on the DC site:
Recommendations for foreigners with Non-Immigrant Visa “O-A” (Long Stay) while staying in the Kingdom:
Upon arrival, holder of this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for 1 year from the date of first entry. During the one-year period, if he or she wishes to leave and re-enter the country, he or she is required to apply at the Immigration office for re-entry permit (single or multiple) before departure. In the case of leaving the country without a re-entry permit, the permit to stay for 1 year shall be considered void.
This dates back several years to when the single entry Non Imm O-A visa was the norm. Today, only multiple entry Non Imm O-A visas are issued:
"Validity of a visa: multiple entries, 1 yearPeriod of stay"
Thus, the dated advice can be confusing, since today's O-A visa is valid for one-year from date of issue -- and not just valid for one single entry, and one single one-year permission of stay stamp (as in the old days). No wonder this forum has so many queries about, "Is the O-A visa really good for stays approximating two years?"
Mai pen rai.
Would you say the American Embassy's Bangkok website was up to date ?
Here is a hopelessly outdated extract from that site .....
"Thai immigration officials will place an immigration stamp in the passport permitting a 30-day stay in Thailand if arriving by air or a 15-day stay if arriving by land. This time limit may subsequently be extended for an additional 7 days by paying a 1,900 baht fee to the Thai Immigration Bureau office".
Be careful where criticism is directed

No.
A tourist visa 60 day entry can only be extended once.

The only other option I can think of would be to obtain a tourist visa which would give a 60 day entry which can be extended by 30 days for 1900 Bht at an immigration office .
You could then go to Savanakhet ,Laos and apply for a one year multiple entry visa based on marriage. This visa would give 90 day entries and would require border runs.
There currently is no need to show any financials for this visa.
NB
Toward the end of the tourist visa you could apply for a 60 day extension to "visit" your wife. 1900 Bht from immigration.
-
You need a single entry Non O visa based on marriage from which you can obtain a one year extension of stay.
You will need 400,000 Bht in a Thai bank or 40,000 Bht/ income evidenced by the British Embassy in Bangkok.
Best wishes and I hope you secure that Saudi exit visa in the very near future.

The link you provided works !

Actually I am just looking about it... It would be much cheaper to fly to Udon and go to Vientiane and back than go to KL and back... I am planning to travel around Thailand now when I will be finally "business free" and have a change to do it...mayby also some neighbour countries where I haven't been yet. Then mayby go back to Europe in next spring...
That is why mayby the single visa is good enought...but if I want double entry visa are they asking ticket away from Thailand or not in Vientiene? Is it enough to show them some bus ticket to some other country or do they need a flight information?
They will not require any onward tickets in Vientiane.
-
If you want a double entry tourist visa the best place to obtain one would be Vientiane. Laos.

Ok, I looked my old passport also...
When I started to have a business here in Thailand I went to KL to get my first multible Non-B visa and 3-4 next ones also. At that time I was also going out from the country every 90-days to get stamped (that sucks).
I asked how I can get visa without exiting country and I had to pay more tax to Thailand to get it and I did.
So, you are all right, my orginal Non-B visa was made in KL, the last time I have entered to Thailand is 4th of Jan 2013 (I looked from my departure card between my passport). So since then, I have got my 1 year visa extensions from Thailand (3 times) and this last one ends in April -16.
I hope you understand what I mean? (I am not native english speaking as you can tell)
That is what people have been telling you !
You have an extension of stay which ceases to be valid on the day you stop working.
As said a 7 day extension can be obtained from immigration but then , if you wish to remain in Thailand, you will have to obtain another type of visa from a Thai Embassy/Consulate in a nearby country.

Would it do with the birth certificate? And as proof of income would it do with a bank statements from home country showing that I get a pension coming every month?I haven't sorted out a Thaibank yet. Eve been I Thailand for a year now.. And could I try get a new extension? And extent it another 10 months? Now im currently on my 60 days extensionThanks guys
The only way "income" can be proved is by a letter from your embassy and in your case it would need to demonstrate an monthly income equal to 40,000 Thai Bht / month.
You cannot prove you are the legitimate father of a child unless you are married to the Mother or have legal papers from a Thai court.
I cannot immediately find the link which deals with the legalisation process but I am sure someone will post it for you.

Could you scan and post the most recent one year business visa obtained from Thai immigration?
-
thanks guys,
will let you know how i go.
do the russians still run phuket?
Hi Allan,
I think they still do but the government have deported some from Pattaya and phuket. I have just been back from Pattong and kamala and still loads there.
re visa,
Brisbane has a thai embassy...here's the link. its easy to get the 60 day visa and extend it by another 3 months...I did so last year
Brisbane HAD a Honorary Thai Consulate which is now closed and has been closed for 6-7 months !
-
what is the chance of getting in with just a one way ticket from Gold coast booked?
There is no requirement for a return/onward ticket if a valid visa is obtained prior to departure.
-
Lite Beer I have one year NON-B valid until 3rd of April 2016, I have had NON-B visa past 7 years.
So do you mean I can continue to stay with it even if I don't have any business here anymore?
This is what I mean, some people says I must go out in 7 days and some says I can stay until visa runs out...
This statement you made "Some people say I could stay until April -16 with it just by doing 90-days reports as usually, because labour office don't report to immigration that I returned my WP..." Would suggest you do not have a visa for which 90 day reporting would not be required.
It is more than likely you have an "extension of stay" based on working obtained from an immigration office.
Such an extension ceases to be valid on the day you cease work.

You say you're from Queensland, if you're in Brisbane the Thai Consulate is at 87 Annerley Rd, South Brisbane. If you're not in Brisbane you can do it through them by mail; my favourite consulate in Australia as they're generous with the enter by dates and are efficient in processing the application.
As others have said: apply for 60 day single entry tourist visa, then get it extended when you're in Thailand for 30 days; 1900 baht, TM7, passport photo and copies from your passport.
Unlike some advice you've gotten here, you don't have to leave the country after 60 days at all.
The Brisbane consulate has been closed .
