Burkas and Burkinis, aren't they sort of the same, full body coverage,
and covering the face as well?? I do not get it. Is France suddenly a Muslim
country? I know it sure looks like it is some parts of the country with all the
Islam signs all over the place. I guess that since there are so many Muslims
living in Europe now, it will be only a matter of time before they get
enough population to demand their way all over Europe. I have less and less
of a desire to go to anywhere in Europe. I had planned to go to Greece,
but after talking with a friend, I may not even go there. I am just
too red necked to want to go to any country that is getting over ran by the Muslims,
who seem to bring all of their beliefs and then demanding to be treated
special, and different because of it, instead of being happy to be in Europe
away from the problems of their home countries that have so many
troubles with extremism. I have enough bad feeling about some of the
demanding people who come to Canada, and are now demanding more and more for
the Canadians to treat them like they are some kind of special people.
What a world we live in. More troubles ahead for sure.
Geezer
Bukini is a wet suit, it does not cover the face, it cover less than some wetsuits and Christian Nun clothes...
Burka cover the face
Hope you don't live in Thailand cause you must be crazy with all the muslims here

these high costs are due to inadequate sentencing and inadequate application of that penalty.
if the death penalty was applied only to cases that are very clear, the sentence could be carried out in just a few weeks.
nope, except if you want the laws to change and people cannot do appeal and other things like this..I am sure you would like to have a trial then right after a hanging but modern countries (by opposition to the ones you say are worth nothing) have rules and must be followed...

It seems faintly ridiculous that there's a fuss about France banning the burkini, whilst in Saudi Arabia you would end up being beaten by your family for wearing such an immodest thing on the beach or at the swimming pool.
And as one person wrote "The banning of burkini is in accordance with the Sharia that urges women to stay at home and stay away from public places in order to show their body. For that reason, the Islamists should thank France for this step as it will encourage women to stay at home.”

You could not have spent long then, there was and still is plenty of, what I think you meant to say protestant / catholic love in Northern Ireland.
The IRA's campaign was political not religious.
Obviously a man '' who never saw '' must be the font of all knowledge.
Say the guy...
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt

Remember the IRA.
Yeah, I remember them very well. What I do not remember is them ever killing anyone in the name of God.
Are you completely off your trolley ?
never saw protestant/christian love in northern Irland?
I dont' have any lesson to receive from someone who quote "Conficius" so well

Cartoons may not be offensive to you and I but they are offensive to others. Most don't pick up a Glock and run riot by way of revenge but there's a few who do.
"Don't read them" is not a valid course of action for them. The very fact that they're out there in the public domain is enough a reason to be offended.
Then why was there such scandal when Iran made a cartoon contest after the one on Muhammad then?

Anything that covers the face and prevents recognition should be banned anywhere in public, simple as that !

If they lampooned the leader of IS, they would have been targeted also. As it's the extremists who are doing the bombing, not the vast majority of Muslims who are moderates. As pointed out by others, a small minority are twisting things.
Charlie Hebdo had cartoons about Christ. I'm sure many Christians didn't like it, but they didn't resort to bombing and killing either. Why is that? Religious tolerance perhaps?
Your comment about hurling racist speech is not the same thing. And in many countries, luckily, that is illegal.
Maybe, before praising Christian and every religion except Islam for its tolerence, you should look at mordern History and what happen in countries where the information is not "interesting"
Africa : Christian warriors who kill in the name of God, remember IRA, had a look recently in Burma...
But yeah it is not the same, right?
Veil is not a burka, burkini DOES nNOT cover the face, so women wear it and those who are not happy have to deal with it.

'Cute' ... Wow Mindless Liberals will tolerate anything as nothing matters to them. Immigrants need to assimilate to the laws and customs of the land that they enter.
It is not like you adapt to the country here neither from the posts I read.... Stuborn conservatives probably...
Veil is NOT prohibited, this stupid action just show that one more time Men tell women how they should behave... Veil does not cover the face...I don't see you complain about the kippa...but I know why you don't... islam is bad!!right?

Politics ? The majority of decision makers in the IOC come from a large variety of nations (and their sport federations i.e. NOT politicians)
In Wikipedia one can read :
QUOTE
With the intermixing of sports and politics, the body was originally conceived by International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Juan Antonio Samaranch to deal with disputes arising during the Olympics. It was established as part of the IOC in 1984.In 1994, a case decided by the CAS was appealed to the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland, challenging CAS impartiality. The Swiss court ruled that the CAS was a true court of arbitration but drew attention to the numerous links between the CAS and the IOC.In response, the CAS underwent reforms to make itself more independent of the IOC, both organizationally and financially. The biggest change resulting from this reform was the creation of an "International Council of Arbitration for Sport" (ICAS) to look after the running and financing of the CAS, thereby taking the place of the IOC. As of 2004, most recent cases that were considered by the CAS dealt with transfer disputes within professional association football or with doping.UNQUOTE
Well, like with FIFA, the politics always mix with sports...I not say the politics was the only motive, however I highly doubt there is no politic involved in Olympic games and IOC...the choice of the country which host the olympics had and still has a lot of politic interferences for exemple

You can't blame the US for everything bad that happens in the world, though you seem to try. Many foreign countries are messing around in others territories in the ME. The worst offenders are Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Israel is off topic.
Please can you remind us how many countries Iran invaded ?

What a bunch of morons, they should be charged for this more than her IMO -
A teacher should NEVER slap or hurt a student, if the student is a bully or just don't care, fire him from the classroom and call the parents for a good lose of face and it works quite well

From many sources, the ban was done not only because of drugs, but also because of Politic, and I tend to believe there is a lot of politics involved in this ban...

Perhaps you should visit the American Victims of Illegal Aliens Memorial Site?
Maybe Racism is not illegal in US, but it is in Europe
Is there any Alien victims of American memorial site?
