So what does it take financially to retire to Ecuador?

Laughable, how did they come up with these numbers? Japan is rated as number 5. I lived there for over 30 years. I don't know how many times I was misdiagnosed or given the wrong treatment and had to come to Thailand to get sorted out. Granted I went to private hospitals, but nothing on par exists in Japan.

Agreed. I left the US in 1989. I lived in another country for many years before coming to Thailand 2 years ago. I basically don't care anymore and laugh at the whole circus when I see it on the news.

I had 2 Pfizer shots and know about 10 other farang in my area that got both shots. The only symptoms I heard of was sore shoulder and slight headache. Nothing like what you describe.

I'm a vet too. I volunteered at a time when the draft no longer existed in my country. I wouldn't feel comfortable serving with someone who doesn't' want to be there. I don't see it as being morally bankrupt. Not everyone is cut out for it. On top of that I see forcing someone to do a job they don't want to do as a form of slavery.

I just went through this. I was told to log in with a Thai ID then change the info that comes up. So my gf logged in with her ID then changed name, DOB etc to mine. That worked fine.

I know one Thai/UK citizen that was able to get Pfizer and one who was turned away. Both at the same hospital. Just luck of the draw I guess.
