  1. The ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) has been denied access to Palestinian prisoners, in contravention of international law. So whistleblowers are needed.
  2. Maybe those who have been active in the IDF in the last two years should be denied a visa.
  3. Hegseth managed to get into Princeton and even graduated, so he couldn't be that stupid. Since the Russian flag colors are red, white & blue, was it the arrangement of stripes that made his tie evocative of the Russian one?
  4. This zero-dollar tourism is worth little to the local community and detracts from the tourism experience of legitimate tourists.
  5. Several clans were armed by Israel as proxies. The sensible solution is to disarm both Hamas and the IDF proxies, but that will require the stabilisation force to occupy the entire Gaza Strip.
  6. Someone should make it clear to Mrs Trump that hubby will not get a Middle East Nobel unless he deals definitively with the horror on the West Bank & East Jserusalem.
  7. It's not that simple. Israel should have a constitution to protect all its citizens.
  8. It seems that Netanyahu's long-term strategy is to make Israel self-suffcient in arms production in the event that the West cuts Israel off. Short-term, he wants the public to be so impressed by him smashing all the opposition in the neighborhood that they will vote for Likud in the next election, while he will find a way to circumvent any parts of the 20-point deal that his coalition partners can't live with.
  9. That could be fine in the future, but for now Israel is controlling access by land, sea and air, so by law it is responsible for providing food, water, medicine, etc, etc
  10. Wow. Do you live in a bubble? The whole world knows about genocide in Gaza. Self-defense became a pretext for disproportionate slaughter. https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2024-12-18/ty-article-magazine/.premium/idf-soldiers-expose-arbitrary-killings-and-rampant-lawlessness-in-gazas-netzarim-corridor/00000193-da7f-de86-a9f3-fefff2e50000 https://www.btselem.org/publications/202507_our_genocide
  11. Yes, Palestinians would accept a one-state solution if apartheid were ended in Israel as well as the Occupied Territories.
  12. Because AI software called Lavender told them to do it.
  13. Sorry to say that polls in Israel favor by 60-80% in favor of ethnically cleansing the Gaza Strip. The incitement to genocide, particularly on Israeli channel 14, should be punished under the Genocide Convention.
  14. He also has a bad record in the Middle East. Wasn't he used to be called "Bush's Poodle".
  15. They probably decided to walk because the traffic is absolutely terrible when the General Assembly is on.
  16. Maybe Hamas reads the newpaper. Yasser Abu Shabab was an agent of the IDF. His gang looted aid trucks in a Rafah area under IDF control. The looting (ascribed to Hamas) was the supposed justification for blocking aid to Gaza and the creation of GHF. Several months ago the Wall Street Journal reported that he was promoting himself, that his group would organize an enclave on tribal land near Rafah to "protect" up to 800,000 people who would be screened to keep out Hamas. Here is the propaganda in the opinion section of WSJ: https://www.wsj.com/opinion/gazans-are-finished-with-hamas-commander-popular-forces-5d9a6345 Reporting about the looting associated with Yasser Abu Shabab as well as killing of people seeking aid from Gaza "Humanitarian" Foundation: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jun/05/israel-accused-of-arming-palestinian-gang-who-allegedly-looted-aid-in-gaza https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-07-14/gaza-aid-looting-gangs-yasser-abu-shabab-israel-netanyahu-hamas/105501926 https://euromedmonitor.org/en/article/6755/Israel-recruits-local-gangs-and-foreign-mercenaries,-turning-aid-distribution-centres-into-mass-slaughterhouse https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2025/6/8/the-real-reason-why-israel-is-arming-gangs-in-gaza No wonder he was executed. Also to be noted is this: https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/hamas-out-arab-criminal-gangs-in/ There is a disturbing pattern. First, it was Arab criminal gangs in Israel armed by the government to "control" the Arab population. After, it's the gangs in Gaza.
  17. I got Shingrix at CM MediClinic, and they had it before the hospitals, apparently. Shingrix is for shingles, and it's very effective, BTW. So it's worth checking there, too, for the latest covid jab.
  18. The new version just came out in the US. I'm not sure how long it will take to be available here.
  19. I believe that many non-Nazi Germans supported the war, and 60-80% of Jewish Israelis also support the Gaza war, according to surveys. Sadly, their concern is for 20 living hostages, not two million largely innocent Palestinians. https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/israel-at-war/artc-poll-62-of-israelis-say-there-are-no-innocent-people-in-gaza
  20. On the legal side, the Israeli government has fulfilled to definition of genocide. Even an Israel human rights organization has issued a report: https://www.btselem.org/publications/202507_our_genocide As for the Chinese, they escape the accusation for several reasons: They are not starving or otherwise inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about physical destruction; as for the other crimes involved in genocide, such as killing, this has to be linked to intent. Xinjiang is recognized as a part of China, so the introduction of Han Chinese into Xinjiang is not a crime, while the movement of settlers into Gaza or the West Bank is a crime (though this is under the Geneva Conventions).
  21. WW2 lasted over 5 years, or over 1800 days. So a proportional equivalent would be continuing to bomb the Germans for 3600 years. In that case there wouldn't be any cultural vestige left to show that the Germans ever existed, just as is being now done in Gaza.
  22. Are you a university professor or affiliated with a group concerned with genocide (not the IDF, Likud or associates)? There seems to be some such requirement for joining.
  23. The whole point of the Uniting for Peace resolution is that it is passed in the UN General Assembly when the Security Council is unable to act. It requires a 2/3 majority. It can decide all necessary measures to organize a protection force. It's true that Israel is already an international pariah, so attacking a UN force would be just another feather in Netanyahu's cap, but maybe the IDF has some red lines. The UNGA can also suspend Israel's membership as it did for around 20 years in the case of South Africa. That only ended with the end of apartheid.
  24. 1) After filing I was able to call them, and they confirm that there are only file size limits on the photo of applicant (2 MB). 2) I got an Apple pencil and was able to sign the application after opening it on my iPad. 3) After filing I was able to get through to BOI. They confirmed that the entries not showing in saved drafts were in fact showing in the application that they received. 4) I did not ask BOI about this. 5) I forgot to ask BOI about this question. Anyway, it was moot since I was able to find last year's daily activity online, so I could state the last 365 days of income.
