  1. Well, maybe the claim of 700.000 tons of food seem to be an outrageous, blantant lie. Maybe there's a limit to the amount of huperbole that is kosher in the tradition of the Oxford Union.
  2. Maybe Fetterman wants the governor of New York to pardon Trump, but he should have said so. People might think that he is hardly qualified to be a senator.
  3. As for US rebuke, it's blame the injured party, i.e. Egypt. Until Israel took over the Philadelphi corridor inviolation of the 1979 treaty, some Palestinians could get out for medical treatment, etc. As for the unreliability of IDF and Israeli government spokesmen, their output has to conform to the narrative that they have been drilling into Israeli heads for years, dehumanizing Palestinians. Similarly, most of the Israeli media, except Haaretz, +972 and a few others, repeat the talking points, just as Nderitu and the Wall Street Journal opinion writers. The Washington Post opinion board also put out the same falsehoods. The Israeli propaganda a/k/a hasbara machine is working overtime.
  4. Could you explain what is the Kaizen method, please.
  5. Are you aware of the AUA Chiang Mai Thai language courses? https://www.expatden.com/thailand/thai-language-school-review-aua-chiang-mai/
  6. Someone said "No", but I live in Chiang Mai and I do my first report by mail. Others should report the situation for other provinces.
  7. Ms Nderitu was just echoing propagandistic claims of Israel, just as the Wall Street Journal Opinion of the Editorial Board does.
  8. The request was quite a while ago, long before Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar were killed.
  9. During the British Mandate, it was Ashkenazi jews who moved to Palestine. The economic improvement began in the mid-19th Century. Rural Palestinian farmers were no doubt poor.
  10. Egypt, the Palestinians, and the rest of the World (except US) do not want to see another Nakba. Apparently the White House had a budgetary item for resettling Gazans and asked Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia to take them. All refused.
  11. Your source, FDD, or Foundation for Defense of Democracies, i.e. Israel, is hardly reliable. The fdd link concerns the period when Israel violated the 1979 treaty with Egypt by occupying the Philadelphi corridor.
  12. What I mean is that forensic investigation may help understand whether there were any military objectives involved in mass bombing, particularly in the first weeks of the war. Here is the ICC rule on proportionality: "Pursuant to Article 8(2)(b)(iv) of the 1998 ICC Statute, the following constitutes a war crime in international armed conflicts: Intentionally launching an attack in the knowledge that such attack will cause incidental loss of life or injury to civilians or damage to civilian objects … which would be clearly excessive in relation to the concrete and direct overall military advantage anticipated." https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/customary-ihl/v2/rule14 It was Israel's choice to use the Lavender program, apparently a kind of AI, to identify "targets" with such rapidity that humans could not do due diligence to verify the accuracy before the bombs dropped.
  13. Well, I meant that Karim Khan requested warrants for the three Hamas people, but Israel killed two or maybe three of them by the time the Court authorized the warrants.
  14. The problem is not you, but the settlers doing ethnic cleansing in the West Bank, for example.
  15. There are several videos in the links, but CNN did not post the video discussed. As I explained, there are many links referring to videos without posting them. If you google the term "IDF shooting Palestinians video" you can also find YouTube videos and many discussions of IDF atrocities.
  16. I just googled "IDF shooting Palestinians video". A few of the results: https://edition.cnn.com/2024/10/08/middleeast/gaza-jabalya-idf-shooting-intl/index.html https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/3/28/israeli-soldiers-shoot-dead-two-unarmed-palestinian-men-in-gaza-video https://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2024/jan/10/video-appears-to-show-israeli-army-shooting-palestinians-without-provocation-report https://www.btselem.org/press_releases/20210803_video_footage_proves_israeli_soldiers_shot_and_killed_11_year_old_muhammad_abu_sarah_had_no_reason_to_open_fire There are many many more links making reference to video, which however do not provide the video.
  17. This is more likely to prevent Gazans moving en masse into Egypt. As I commented before, Egypt is not blocking the trucks.
  18. Is it just an hysterical confusion or an intention to make Khan into an Arab Lebanese, i.e. biased, rather than a British man born in Edinburgh? As far as the claim of sexual misconduct is concerned, that happens often enough, and does not change the facts leading to the warrants being issued.
  19. IDF claims that they kill civilians as collateral damage, but the question of proportionality is important here. While the killing already appears very disproportionate, it will only be after the IDF is out of Gaza that the full numbers can be tabulated, for combattants vs civilians. Besides that there are many video clips of wanton shooting of apparent civilians.
  20. The Rome Statue is a treaty that obliges the signatories to arrest and supercedes national law, so France and others who use flabby excuses for not doing their duty are violating international law by inaction.
  21. It may be because the current Egyptian gevernment overthrew the government elected in 2011, which was backed by the Muslim Brotherhood. This group and Hamas are ldeologically close. However, public opinion in Egypt stongly backs the Palestinian cause, so Egypt is not making obstacles to food trucks entering Gaza. That is entirely due to the IDF inspections and settlers who block trucks or loot them while the IDF looks on.
  22. That commenter was possibly referring to Karim Khan, but for some reason brought up the nationality of the chief judge of a different court, the ICJ, as being the nationality of K Khan.
  23. So how does that give them claim to all the land to the exclusion of those who have been there just as long as them?
  24. In your previous comment, you made no reference to the "human shields" excuse. It was only to trivialize the deaths in Gaza compared to previous conflicts. But changing the subject is a frequently used evasion tactic in this thread.
