  1. It's interesting that you didn't mention Jordan. They were the ones with a serious army. There was a then secret agrement for Jordan to occupy the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The Arab forces were no match for the Haganah, etc. In 1967 Nasser would have backed down, but Israel attacked by trashing the Egyptian air force. Sadly, Jordan got sucked in.
  2. The report from CAMERA and related articles should be filtered by knowledge of the motives of CAMERA: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Committee_for_Accuracy_in_Middle_East_Reporting_in_America
  3. So the Palestinian Christians and Muslims are being punished for the apostacy of their ancestors?
  4. Well, anyone who wants to know the truth can look at the videos.
  5. Interesting link. It is mostly about a behind the scenes effort by Israel to use its vast American network to pressure South Africa to abandon the case.
  6. Maybe 500 is OK, but how far does she have to travel?
  7. I examined the link by the American judge in the case. There were orders issued on January 26th, for Israel not to commit genocide in Gaza.. Here is the same judge reading the order: Her appearance on BBC Hardtalk which you posted was a clarification concerning the use of "plausible" by the ICJ and by the world press. For the Court, the issue of plausibility concerned first, the standing of South Africa to make the case, and second, that the Palestinians had a plausible right to be protected from genocide. She said that they then proceeded to look at the facts. She said that the press was speaking of "a plausible case of genocide", while the Court "emphasized in the order that there was a risk of irreparable harm to the Palestinian right to be protected from genocide." This order concerned provisional measures, while the final decision will probably take a few years to be issued. The complete session can be seen here:
  8. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Africa's_genocide_case_against_Israel "South Africa v. Israel[1] is an ongoing case that was brought before the International Court of Justice on 29 December 2023 by South Africa regarding Israel's conduct in the Gaza Strip during the Israel–Hamas war, that resulted in a humanitarian crisis and mass killings." Further on in the Wiki entry at the end of the Proceedings section states: "On 5 April 2024, the court set the schedule for comprehensive submissions of legal opinions by South Africa and Israel. The time limit for the South African memorial was set to be 28 October 2024, and for the Israeli response 28 July 2025.[128]"
  9. When Hagari appeared in a video in a supposed command center in the basement of a Gaza hospital, he showed a list of operatives on the wall. It was a claim promptly debunked by viewers who could read Arabic who could see that it was a calendar. Aside from that, there was small gear that could have been placed there in minutes for show. Another scene showed weapons that looked like bazookas stashed behind an MRI machine. Again this equipment could have been placed there for filming, as the magnetic field generated by the MRI in use would have been problematical. So when Hagari does these cameo appearances, I would be skeptical of his claims. Did he conduct a walk through of the mile-long facility, or just show a room that could be in somebody's house?
  10. Gee, the Japanese victim group to prevent nuclear war just won the Nobel Peace Prize. Your idea of nuking Gaza was already proposed on Iz TV. Was that a joke?
  11. What? The ICJ decided that there was a plausible case of Israel committing genocide, but the final decision will take a few years, as is usual in their proceedings.
  12. In the Oslo Accords, the Palestininas were not really offered a sovereign state. It was irresponsible of the Norwegians not to moderate the talks to prevent the imposition of a faulty agreement on the weak party. Fortunately, under international law, despite any provisions of Oslo, all the settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem are still illegal.
  13. Forcibly transferring children (as Putin did) need not be present to determine that genocide has happened. Your link says: "In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: 1. Killing members of the group; 2. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; 3. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; 4. Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; 5. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group." The ICJ knows better than you what constitutes genocide, and have so far said that the case against Israel is plausibe.
  14. Maybe the present Israeli government will end up undoing the work of 80 years to keep Germany on a leash of shame.
  15. Is there any policy regarding telemedicine, i.e. a doctor advising or treating a patient in Thailand from Boston, for example?
  16. Does she grind the corn? Is it white corn?
  17. Nasi Jumpru has good food, but it's a bit too far to get take away for us. We have gotten khao soi gai from Khao Soi Mae Sai for years, always good. https://guide.michelin.com/th/en/chiang-mai-region/chiang-mai/restaurant/khao-soi-mae-sai

  19. The salmon you ate doesn't come from Japan, I guess.
  20. I am not working in Thailand. The RD instructed my accountant how to fill out the special forms which they provided. You might look at the Treaty to see how Social Security is handled. The technical explanation is an easier read.
  21. The rule concerning remitted income (not savings) has been in effect for many years, and I have been filing for that reason.
  22. The Thai-US tax treaty does not contain the re-sourcing provisions of US treaties with many other countries, so it is not possible to make remittances to Thailand appear as foreign income when preparing Form 1116 on the US tax return. The result is that the only option is to get a tax credit on the Thai tax return for taxes paid to the US. The result may be that tax due Thailand will be zero.
  23. Maybe Immigration will need a bed photo to determine whether the Thai is on top, in which case no 400K will be required.
  24. The point is that if there is a joint income, then the Thai tax dept might interpret a transfer to spouse from abroad as part of the joint income. Better to check with a tax expert.
