Obama's behavior in the "holding room" is further indiction of his elevated sense of class and diplomacy.  He is a true gentleman and scholar and has set the presidential standard high.  He is going to be a tough act to follow but I am sure that Hillary will meet the standard.

but will she be able to behave herself with the interns?

Did this readiness statement actually mean anything, or say anything. Should I conclude that ASEAN is about building bridges across rivers?

ASEAN seems to be little more than an excuse for a business trip, I see no change in movement of goods, movement of services, movement of services or unity amongst members so what is it?

i have been wondering what this asean thing is all about myself. exports are reported as falling over the last couple years. has there been any real benefit to thailand at all?

Just so you know, Voluntary Castration in the States is done Medically, and not Surgically.

Repeat Offenders have been known to accept this treatment so they are able to get early release, as they then don't pose a problem to society as long as they keep with the treatment. Better than serving a Life Sentences I suppose. But nobody is held down kicking and screaming and tied to a chair. while he has his testicles removed. Or at least not in the States. In Iran??? Maybe!

both medical and surgical castration is used and both have shown some success. offenders need to agree but it would seem few do. chemical castration seems to require the person to continue to take medication which they may not do resulting in offending. http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=93947&page=1

Ridiculous. He could have gone down (sic) to Loi Kroh and had half a dozen girls lined up to do just about anything he wanted for comparatively low cost. Might even have persuaded them they were going to be film stars. Obviously a sandwich short of a picnic.

these guys seem to get a thrill out of filming their victims  without them knowing about it. bit like some of the rich people you hear about shop lifting. chasing a thrill.

You tipped four people at the Misu. service centre. why did you do that! Please, don't do it again, it's not good for everyone else that lives here.

they gave me great service. bill came back less than quoted and free wash, thats why. also i like to tip. imagine what a great place this would be if everyone just gave a small tip when they were happy with something.

why are they blanking out his face, scum pervs like this should be exposed for all to see so we can keep an eye on this very troubled individual

nope, good general said not to parade suspects for the cameras. in this case he paid compensation so will not have to go to court to be found guilty so he can remain anonymous. lucky for him he was doing this in thailand where he got off lightly.

I wonder at what point did they think "Hmm maybe it's not such a good idea to deal drugs in a country like Thailand" ?

I'm guessing not long after they were caught... obviously not before they started dealing.

people are stupid to get into drugs in thailand. the only thing i can think of is they dont know what can happen here. in a country where everything has laws and rules that are mostly ignored they think they would be ok.

Not when there is a hostage.

If he was alone, then you would be correct.

Then only a sniper or a officer with a clear head shot can act after getting authorization from the incident commander on scene.

And only after it was clear he was going to kill the hostage.

One shot to the back of the head from one officer and everyone else holds their fire until the hostage is clear.

This is a good example of what not to do in a hostage situation.

No reason for the woman to be shot by police.

he reportedly fired a number of times at the cops. doubt they had time to designate who was going to be the single guy doing the return fire. cops did a good job. crim is dead, hostage is alive.

So the incinerator broke down at the same time as the contract ended.

So who is in charge now? One would assume that the authority had another management team in place before the contract ended??

guess the job is now being done by the lowest bidder for the contract who was the local mayors cousin. didnt they solve the problem on samui by putting tarpaulins over the heaps? perhaps that is what koh tao needs. time to start selling tarpaulins by the sound of it.
