philipines has just agreed to more US troops being stationed at the 5 US army bases around the country. america is footing a massive bill for this build up after the philipines decided to remove the american forces in 1991. you would think they would be more polite.

he should ask for a chance to be paraded in front of the press to announce his innocence. it is not done automatically any more.

cops do very nicely out of illegal gambling. another reason to legalize it, along with prostitution. kind of ironic to legalize something to stop the police from profiting from it.

as long as people dont study ponzi economics. best not to know the outcome of creating money to be lent out at an ever increasing rates, or keeping interest rates low which encourages unsustainable property inflation.

they could fit the drones with those bomb detectors which are very light as they have no internal components.

what happens if you call one of those traffic hotlines? do  they tell you which roads to use? can imaging they would need a lot of people manning the phones. perhaps some sort of online system showing where congestion is the worst would be a good idea. on the other hand people using their smart phones to monitor traffic while driving is probably not such a good idea.

well if you had the option of going before the press or being beaten by telephone books i think most suspects would go along with the cameras. pretty ballsy of the cops to go against the general. shows how much they love these types of spectacles. 

are foreigners really allowed to design projects like this? what does this really matter to china if thailand cant even manage to build the first 3.5km?

i have been working for a franchise in thailand for the last 9 years. almost every location of the franchise has been raided by cops or labor office officers. it is almost impossible to tell where they come from. almost every time they want a fine on the spot. gotta pay it or you have to go through the courts. i ended up going through the courts. trust me it is better to pay a fine up front.

sounds like you got off lightly. i got done with the wrong address in my work permit. cost me about 80 000thb. how much was the fine? a work permit will run you more than 100 000thb per year so it is cheaper to just not do any work here. paid or unpaid.

artificially low interest rates cause problems in many ways. many governments believe they have to keep rates low to stimulate economies but in reality the economies are sick due to the governments and reserve banks manipulating them. govt needs to let the market place set the interest rate where there is an equilibrium. gonna be some initial pain but it would be for the long term good.

why did they buy them in the first place?

stay out of everything in thailand. no business, no property, no girlfriend, and you cant go wrong. best country in the world to live if you follow these rules. this case will just drag on, there will never be any outcome other than a white wash. sounds like the guy was playing with fire and got burnt. those who burnt him will carry on business as normal.

mauro did not make this problem. chavez did when he started giving handouts instead of encouraging his people to be independent. despite being a fertile country they import 96% of their food. fine if you have the oil reserves to pay for it.
