It was my understanding that we used to have to do this when traveling even inside of Thailand, then a couple years ago, only when one would enter Thailand from another country. I definitely could have missed some news about this nonsense. I could be flat out wrong. Please enlighten me. And to be sure TM30 is proof of accommodation/residency, correct? Furthermore, if so, it is the hotel, bnb, condo or apartment manager's responsibility, yeah? Not mine? I travel a lot these days and I feel I am paying a penalty every time I come back. 500 isn't much, but it has added up to a lot.

Please don't say to put 400k in a Thai bank and make a meter tall stack of copies and pour blood, sweat and tears into doing it every year. I love to travel for recreation anyway, and have had several minor surgeries in neighboring countries because I find the hospitals of higher quality, cheaper, and less scams...as we have seen with the Taiwansese man who died in the hit and run, amongst several foreigners being held what I can only consider being held hostage and over charged, and dual pricing, etc. I don't mind exiting and entering every 90 days or so with a fresh stamp in my passport.

I am in Nonthanburi Province. I am on a Non-O based on marriage. I have been renting this same condo for several years. My landlord (not the owner), claims she cannot register a TM30 (proof of residency) online because the system doesn't work. I have to go myself with my wife, which is about 500-600baht in a taxi for the total fare, plus a few hours of a day. The alternative is to hand my passport over to my landlord and give her 500 baht. I have been doing this for a few years now, every 90 days or so upon exiting and entering the country. 500 isn't too bad since I don't keep my savings in a Thai bank and I pay or a little more just to get to the immigration office, plus the time it takes and I am not super excited to deal with immigration and drag my wife with me. However, is it not the landlord's responsibility to register me rather than my responsibility? Should I really be paying 500 everytime I enter Thailand? Does anyone know how this is not possible to do online in Nonthaburi? I didn't mind the first few times, but this has been going on for years. Any insight is very much appreciated.

Foreigner Stumbles, Hand Impaled by Wire Rope in Pattaya
keysersoze276 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
I stepped into a hole in the sidewalk on a dimly lit street in Pattaya and twisted sprained my ankle badly. I saw the same thing happen to another guy in BKK, and once to a young Chinese female tourist. I had to piggy-back her back to her hotel because her male friends were too small and/or in confusion and shock. i have literally stopped pedestrian traffic in BKK before I had cataract surgery because my vision wasn’t good and suddenly there was a wire or hanging tree branch inches from my face. For those of you, and there are many, blaming this guy is ridiculous. Tourists, expats, or Thai citizens shouldn’t have to worry about live electrical wires or other deadly wires hanging down where harm can be done. If it was a twelve year old girl walking to school and lost her eye and half her face, would you make fun of her? What a bunch of aholes. Glad the fella got away with a deeply cut hand. Could have been much worse. -
What happens if you die in Thailand?
keysersoze276 replied to keysersoze276's topic in General Topics
@Tropicalevo. Thanks. Your answer made sense. @bignok No, my mother doesn’t plan on me dying before she does. I am just inquiring about what would happen. It’s a curious question. i am hoping someone can share an experience and know what happens. Any of us could be killed crossing the street, regardless of which city or country we are in. -
What happens if you die in Thailand?

I have a wife here and a large family back home in USA. My mom wants the remains. What would happen? Burn me to a crisp and send an urn back home? I am guessing yes, so is there a legal process that you or anyone knowsnof? What really happens to foreigners that die in Thailand because there seems to be a good handful according to the news. -

A few months ago I talked to my mother about death and she wants the creamated remain if she outlives me. I also have a Thai wife here in TH. She probably couldn’t care less. Lol. not because she doesn’t love me or anything, but I am feeling maybe this is an attitude of Thais. My uncle is 81 and on his deathbed as we speak. I was crying when my mom sent the message and photos of a priest giving him his last rites. My wife seemed sympathetic for a brief moment and then started an argument for no reason. Maybe she thought I was stupid or weak for shedding a tear. -
What happens if you die in Thailand, especially if you have no insurance to transport the body, remains, or ashes back home? I am particularly interested in if it matters what country you are from and the cause of death. We are always reading articles about drunk foreigners falling off balconies (I get it. The last hotel I stayed in had a balcony that I could rest my testicles on if I wanted), motorcycle or other road deaths, suicuide, murder, just natural causes, whatever. I’m just always reading about these deaths and they never include a post-mortem plan or follow up, and I giess I shouldn’t expect them to as maybe it is common knowledge that I am ignorant of. I suppose it is a sensitive subject. What if I was to jump off some high balcony with a suicide note? I am American. Does it depend on the embassy? p.s. I am just curious and in no way implying that I plan to commit suicide or die unexpectedly in any way.

American woman sexually assaulted in Bangkok
keysersoze276 replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Man, a lot of you guys are sick individuals. Always blaming the victim. It’s a shoddy news article as always, by thai-ger, but maybe he was to sleep on the sofa or in a separate bedroom. if a female says no, it means no. Reading a lot of the comments almost made me vomit. 🤮. I only was able to read a handful before I felt anxiety and sick to my stomach. Pedos and rapists or nayone that defends this guy, please go home. Sick. -
Thailand Combats Violence Against Women and Children
keysersoze276 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Alright. I agree to take the rest of the month off from beating my Thai wife. December will be a blood bath. Lol 555. Please don’t take this comment seriously. Just joking. I will bind and gag her fir November and give her two black eyes for Christmas. Seriously, what kind of country does this? Don’t beat your wife or children for 30 days? Then green lights for the rest of the year? TIT -
Bob, you really need to socialize more and get out to talk to people. This is not a good place to ask random people from random “home countries “ their random feelings and random experiences. Get out of the armchair and get some frinds to talk to, man. With all due respect.

Heading to Japan, TOMORROW...
keysersoze276 replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Have you ever spent time in Japan? I have. Orhave you just been watching too much JAV? It’s expensive, boring (but different, decent place to visit for a new experience, but I would never live there. One and done. It is a hard working economy. People rush everywhere and work all day. Not laid back at all. A small bottle of water costs as much as a large bottle of beer here. Foreigners are not very welcomed, and relations between anJapanese woman and a western man are frowned upon and she wil be shamed for the rest of her days. Same in Korea. There are very few KTVs you are allowed into. Most even post on the door that foreigners aren’t welcome. That was my experience. I am curious what your attraction is to live in Japan? Where are you going there? Live in the remote mountains? Give us some details and enlighten us, please. -
That’s what she said.

I just reentered Thailand on a valid non-o. in my old passport. They just stamped that I had a valid visa until xxx from my old Passport into my new passport, upon exit no problem re-enerering. My new passport was nearly 3 months old. Going to immigration is a chhoive, but not necessary. Just carry both passports with you intil you get a new visa. This was about 2 weeks ago.

I totally agree with the OP. I assume he is older than me, but that is just an assumption. I have slipped several times, but my reflexes are still intact enough to not fall. Those beautiful, shiny, tiled floors! Give me a decade or two and I will probably be in the hospital with a broken leg or hip. It’s crazy, I know.

Hua Hin Wine Expo set to dazzle this November
keysersoze276 replied to webfact's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am News
Every news article on here, whether it be an event, a crackdown, an election, is always, always in the future tense if significant. Though they still brag about the “smart car”, a BMW with an ipad and a SIM card. Maybe I am going off topic, bit seriously TH, you are a century behind developed nations. Please stop bragging. Thai wine. Lmao.
