I made a copy of my ATM slip and card good enuf, Very Pleasant in LA
LA didn't require employment verification, they just wanted itinerary, pics, hotel res, bank statement, Benard is the Man in LA. I went in personAny recent datapoints for METV processing at Thai Embassy in DC (I live in DC and saw a blog post that he heard horror stories about processing time at that embassy). Also, does they ask for employment verification letter? I already obtain copy of my letter, and hopefully it won't be a problem later on because i'm going to quit and spend my time in Thailand once i get visa.
How many months of bank statements?

u should Katchanburi and Isaan are GreatIn 8 years, I've never been to Isaan, Kanchanaburi, Koh Yao (Yai or Noi) nor Koh Phi Phi.
Of those, I really should go to Isaan, keep planning a trip to Udon and the surroundings, should probably go to Kanchanaburi, and have no interest in going to Phi Phi. Will head to Koh Yao one day, but no rush.

it's not the gun it's the Source of the Water, Contaminated...God, what a loaded question.
About 80% of farang on thaivisa want to "scale back" songkran.
I wonder if next year if there are floods will the same 80% vote for songkran to be extended.
Thailand gets heaps of rain, only 4% is used for domestic purposes. Meat production alone uses more water than household consumption
Songkran doesn't even use .0001 % of thailands water. It won't cause or stop a drought.
It is only a bit of water and some powder but the way some farangs carry on you would think they were getting shot with real guns, not plastic water pistols.
I don't know how they cope during the wet season, that goes for a lot longer than Songkran.
Anyway, this is Thailand, the Thais are entitled to do what they want with their water.

so u were off a digit, u were probably reminiscing at 36
wrong,it's 35.09 on XE Ruerters 35.03The reason(s)?
Further USD interest rate rises are in the long grass, cost of oil has maybe bottomed out and Europe has enacted new and improved QE measures, all of which makes USD slightly less valuable than before as funds/currencies may now flow into things other than safe haven storage. Having said that, USD/THB only moved a little bit this week.
Today the US Dollar is 36.03

. Surely ,you Jest...We Westerners see things differently to Thai's. We greet the changes with skepticism....when we should be applauding the efforts of the current government in building new friendships and developing the country into a greater than great powerhouse of modern wonders!

must be BenardI will be in Thailand 14 June to 11 August (59 days) then again 2 Nov to 19 Jan (78 days). Can I easily do both of those on one METV ? Or would it be better to do one SETV and one METV?You could do either.
As long as you don't buy the METV more than 6 months before Nov 2nd (May 3rd) you could do it. You will need to get an extension of stay to cover the last 18 days.
Thanks for your generous help. But please be careful when you say "months". I was fined for an overstay because I thought my visa and extension was good for 3 months. The "enter before " date is 180 days after the date of issue not 6 months.
- The new METV is valid for 6 months from the date it is issued. The 'enter before' date will reflect this.
- A SETV is valid for 3 months from the date it is issued.
- The maximum permit to stay that can be granted on entry, with either visa, is 60 days.
Well, the farang that works at the Thai Consulate in LA emailed me that with an METV I must enter Thailand within 180 days from when "we" issue the visa. Is he wrong?

Armour would sell the chipped beef in a lil jar, they also make bacon, Armour Meatpacking company out of Chicago, I eat Stouffers if Lazy, Not BadYou're confusing issues.
I was talking about a specific classic American dish: CREAMED CHIPPED BEEF.
The word CHIPPED is in the name of the dish!
It wouldn't be the same dish without the beef being CHIPPED.
It's actually not popular in restaurants.
I wouldn't be surprised if most of it now consumed was from frozen food packets.
BTW, my Dad was a WW2 soldier and he told me the SOS they served which of course was no culinary delight did indeed include CHIPPED beef. So in my view, SOS and creamed chipped beef are the same thing, with chipped beef.
