  2. BANGKOK (NNT) - The Attorney General Office (AGO) recently held a seminar on improving the judicial work of state officials from various agencies. Attorney General Naree Tantasathien presided over the event, the 14th of its kind, which featured talks on the role of the chief prosecutor in organizational development. A total of 76 people attended the seminar, including Sudruthai Lertkasem, Deputy Director-General of the Public Relations Department (PRD), and deputy chief prosecutors. The course aimed to enhance the knowledge of modern leadership for executives holding the position of chief prosecutors. It also focused on keeping them up-to-date with changes around the world and within society, while improving their organizational management skills at the strategic and planning levels. In the future, information technology will be utilized to supervise the work of the Public Prosecution Office, including personnel and document management. It will also oversee the nationwide database system. According to Govit Sripirojana, Director-General of the Public Prosecution, the training also highlighted upstream and downstream work, with prosecutors to work closely with the public going forward. This means lawyers and prosecutors must support the work of government agencies by confirming that the public has access to attorneys through the Department of Civil Rights Protection and Legal Aid Office. 4. BANGKOK (NNT) - Justice Minister Somsak Thepsutin has called for the development of new standards for animal fights and races to boost tourism and increase tax revenue. The minister has instructed relevant officials to collaborate on drafting a new law outlining the guidelines for the practices such as bull and fish fighting, as well as horse racing. Additionally, the law would legalize betting to generate more tax revenue and set pedigree standards to enhance the quality of the animals. The decision follows an announcement by the Ministry of Interior allowing the resumption of these activities, which were suspended during the pandemic. Minister Somsak said the move will stimulate the Thai economy and attract more foreign tourists, as animal competitions are a longstanding tradition in many regions of the country. According to the minister, internationally recognized rules for animal fights and races should be established to encourage more visitors, leading to higher admission fees. Moreover, legalizing betting will enable tax collection and provide additional revenue for the state to fund national development. Somsak further noted that the new law will benefit many communities and farmers once it takes effect. I have never thought of becoming a doctor or a nurse. I have never thought that far. Just look at my house. It has not been published until today, as the foundation thought that the situation on Friday made it inappropriate to do so. The foundation hopes, however, that this interview will reveal to society another side of the incident and to enable an understanding of the background of a young girl, up to the point of becoming a criminal suspect.
