Hello I have an O-A visa that has an enter by date of March 15, 2022. I want to get another year so I need to leave the country and come back on March 13 or 14. what is your recommendation for a cheap one day in and out of Thailand trip leaving Bangkok and returning to Bangkok?. I do not want to spend the night out of Thailand unless absolutely required. I am assuming no quarantine in Thailand in March and no covid test 72 hours before arrival. If any of those requirements are in force in March 2022 I will fly back to the USA in April 2022 before my permit to stay expires. Spend a few months in USA and obtain another O-A visa in USA. Don’t want to go to CW and don’t want to deposit 800 k in Thailand bank. any cheap one day bus or plane trips anyone has taken before Covid so that I can think about this issue in February and make some plans. Remember some guys used to go to Lao or Cambodia for border runs but I have never actually experienced that before. Take care Thanks.

They had nice offices in the Trendy Building for many years. Office appearance was professional and had some “long term been in business long term track record claims” they promoted. I never bought any condo but I can see how they talked some people into buying. Not everyone that makes a mistake is a fool. The scammers disguise themselves as legitimate and are good at scamming.

Yes I have a new OA. I prefer to get the OA visa and not mess with CW for two years. Do 90 day by mail in report. But the Main attraction of the OA is I get two years and don’t have to keep 800 k in the bank. So I need to leave in March and come back to Bangkok in March to get my second year. i have good health insurance but my insurer will not fill out Thailand’s required form. i don’t like buying additional Heath insurance policy from another company that will fill out the required immigration form. I guess I will buy the additional policy and then cancel it once I am back in Bangkok and have a one year stamp.

Ubonjoe can you explain who checks to see if you have Covid insurance. In the past I left Bangkok with my OA visa and returned by the “enter before” and received a one year stamp at airport immigration. Thereby getting two years from a OA visa instead of one year. I have an OA now and want to fly to Singapore in March and back to Bangkok in March to get another year from my OA visa. who will check at the airport to see if I have Covid insurance past March 2022?

Mailed mine in June 15 days ahead for July 9 report due. Never got any return mail back. Kept postage receipt. will mail my nest one September 23 and hope I get the return mail this time.

Went back to CW with friend on a Wednesday. Got there at 9 am and que number 14. Finish long term extension by 10 am. The officer gave him three pieces of paperwork that he did have to fill out and asked him to draw a map to the hotel where he is living. Took his photo with one of the pieces of paperwork about requirements of money in bank etc… gave him one year extension of stay from the last day of his 90 day Non O visa so he is good until September 2022. thanks to all the people here that provided me and my friend good advice. ????

I have a friend who entered Bangkok from USA. His old extension of stay ended in December 2020. The airport immigration stamped him into Thailand for ninety days ending June 3. He went to CW on Friday and got confused and was told 600 people were ahead of him by someone at immigration. He then went to an agent at Trendy building who told him to go to udon Thani where he got his one year extension that expired in December 2020. He is living at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok. he has 800 k in a thai bank but only put it in there last week. I am going with him to CW on Monday. I am trying to help him do two things. One extend his 90 stay from June 3 until the longest date possible. And also help him file his first ever 90 day report after obtaining his extension past June 3. he wants to stay in Thailand on a one year extension of stay probably a O visa. He is too upset to handle it on his own and for some reason the agents and him have miscommunications between them. Several people on this forum have helped me. Can you please advise me what is best for me to have him do when we go to CW on Monday that ultimately allows him to stay past June 3 and then also ultimately get a one year retirement extension of stay. He plans on living in Bangkok in the Marriott hotel for the next 6 months or more.
