  1. I am 62 years old. I bought LMG with 200,000 deductible for 7,700 baht per year. The deductible does not apply to the 40,000 baht outpatient insurance. I went to hospital on an outpatient basis and the hospital accepted my out patient LMG insurance and did not make me pay more than 21 baht for the first visa and zero baht for the second visit including medications. I am very happy with LMG and will renew with them for a larger insurance amount in the future. Only downside is they only cover you inside Thailand so need traveling insurance when you visit other countries.
  2. A swarm of bees is vulnerable and the bees need all their energy to start a new hive process. The cop is very calm and bees like calm. If they sting they die so as long as mentally and physically you move slowly and not have fear you can handle bees. Still get stung sometimes but luckily the African strain of bees has not made it way to Asia like it has in southern USA. In the south USA he would need a smoker and veil and if Africanize bees gloves.
  3. I was forced to buy the LM Thailand insurance to get an extension of stay for my OA visa. Could not leave Thailand easily to change to O visa. to my surprise I got heatstroke and had to go to the hospital to see a neurologist. I showed hospital my LM insurance. When I checked out I paid 21 baht and LM paid the rest. When I went back to the neurologist a second time I paid zero and LM paid the bill including prescriptions. No claim forms no reimbursement just sign the bills at the hospital and LM took care of it. I have to say for all the bad you hear about health insurance companies, LM on the Thailand approved list actually does pay and makes it easy and most of the Bangkok hospitals are on their provider list.
  4. I am looking to buy one truck. Cash buyer PM me so I can see the truck.
  5. Siam Pharmacy at BTS Ploenchit. great pharmacy but I don’t know if they sell Cialis.
  6. At CW today did the first extension of stay from an O-A visa. My 90 day report is due April 11, 2022 from my prior completed 90 day reports. Did the first extension of stay today change my next 90 day reporting date to June 21, 2022 or do I need to do another 90 day report by April 11, 2022?
  7. Most larger condos have juristic office that do the TM 30 online. If you have a real estate agent ask them to ask the juristic office of your condo. Or when you get to Bangkok ask the juristic office. Sorry about the cancer and hope you recover soon. Most private hospitals in Bangkok also have a liaison person that helps their long term patients with immigration issues. I have known a couple of people seriously injured or hurt in Bangkok. Their hospitals had a staff person help them with their immigration issues such as extensions of stay etc….if you are new to Bangkok and need some help PM me or others on this forum. Hang in there. ????
  8. Isn’t it amazing that just a few humans can screw up the world for the vast majority of people. Always has been and will continue until we destroy ourselves or find a way to find better rulers. Have to say Zelenskyy is a true leader. Too bad we don’t have more smart, humble, responsible people in power ????????????
  9. The Bangkok auto show is coming at the end of this month. I am going to buy a 4 door truck probably Toyota but maybe Ford. I simply want a vehicle to drive in the city and take a few road trips. Any motor experts advice on engine size and fuel and reliability would be useful. And any advice on what extras I can expect from the dealer would be nice. I have been told the best deals are at the Bangkok auto show but I am not sure if that is true. I live in Bangkok but may move to another city in the future like Khon Kaen or Hua Hin. As an expat I will be paying cash and I understand the dealers like financing but the truck wil be in my name and not my girlfriend’s name.
  10. OP I share your frustration with the way hi sos think they are better than others and are treated differently. To some extent it happens in every country but it is more obvious in Thailand. Take care
  11. OP glad you made this post. I live in hotels in Bangkok I was rejected online 5 days in a row with no reason given. I mailed it to CW and got receipt back in one month no problem. If anyone figures out the rejection issue fix please advise. Living in hotels should not matter but who knows.
  12. I like the O-A. Cost 200 dollars plus 50 dollar FBI background check and overnight mail costs back and forth. Usually lasts two years except for this yea with Covid travel issues. . I have health insurance yearly but it is not on the approved Thailand list. I do like the feeling of not owning anything here that I would be upset to leave behind. The O-A does feel to me to be more of a long term tourist visa because you do not have to go to CW. I know guys who get the O-A every two years and never have filed a 90 day report or been to CW. They get their multientry permit at Swampy and live in hotels or condos and never deal with immigration or agents in Thailand. yes they are suppose to file 90 day reports but they don’t. And no one has asked them to see the 90 day report anywhere in Thailand because they don’t go to CW ever.
  13. I pay out of pocket for yearly physicals. I found Bangkok Christian Hospital to be a good value and less expensive than Bumrungard. They have specials and sales prices for physical packages and I think Bangkok Christian does the same job as Bumrungard but for half the price.
  14. Great advice and excellent math of transfers. For the OP Vanguard only charges a 10 dollar wire fee. When in USA get yourself a Charles Schwab debit card. It allows you to take baht out of the atms and once a month Schwab gives you back the atm fees.
  15. Does the 40k/400k include 100 k Covid insurance from LMG or have to buy separate 100 K Covid policy ?
  16. I currently live in hotels. When doing. 90 day report by mail at CW they wrote on my receipt that I needed to do a TM30. I wrote back that hotels always do a TM 30 when I check in and I don’t own or rent a condo so I cannot do a TM 30. for some reason CW continues to write on my 90 day report receipt that I need to do a TM 30 when I change hotels. Maybe they don’t understand at immigration that every hotel does a TM30 for every guest that checks into a legitimate hotel and it is done on the online system.
  17. I was rejected 5 times in 5 days Bangkok. No reason for the rejections so I mailed it in to C W. I usually do the report by mail but was hoping the app would work for me. ????
  18. Can you please tell us the agency you used or pm me ????
  19. I need to buy one year cheapest OA extension of stay insurance for April 2022- April 2023. Age 62 USA I have a large health insurance policy so I am only buying this additional insurance to get an extension of stay from my OA visa and have no desire to use it. can someone with real experience help me locate the cheapest compliance policy or insurance agent. I used Insubuy last year but looking for simply the cheapest policy for my age. Thanks for your replies
  20. Hope it works for you. I do mine by mail to CW. I was denied 5 times on the phone app. So I mailed it in yesterday to CW. Gave no reason why I was denied. Not a big deal going to the post office but I hope the app works for me in the future. ????
  21. In October 2021 my friend got an Non O at CW and then a one year extension of stay. His previous extension of stay expired when he was out of Thailand due to Covid. He lives at a Bangkok Marriott hotel only and does not rent condos. Before 2020 he did his extensions of stay at Udon Thani and stayed only in hotels up north for about 10 years.
  22. One day we all pass on so enjoy the time you have. I read somewhere that “what other people think of you is none of your business”.
  23. What amazes me is that guys will freely spend money on beer, holidays, women, and others. Then not insure themselves properly for illness and injuries that wil occur as we age and always go up in price. If you cannot afford Medicare B and you no longer work you are f&&king yourself. No safety net exists in Thailand. But to each his own just don’t ask me for Go Fund Me money when the hospital refuses to treat you for free. ????
  24. Playing devil’s advocate. Not meant to insult anyone. How are you going to pay your hospital bills for a stroke or Heart attack or injury if you do not have health insurance or 3 million baht in the bank? If you cannot pay then who pays the hospital bills? Odds are the older you get the more medical problems you will experience.
