I assume that if I used some of the weed you’re using now, it might not have the same effect on me. I probably wouldn’t get as high as you do from the small amount you’re consuming, I’d be surprised if I found it as strong. But everyone’s tolerance is different, and it can build up over time, especially if you’re using stronger stuff regularly. On average, a joint is about half a gram, so you’re likely consuming around a quarter of a gram in one sitting, maybe even less, not much at all. I stopped smoking a while ago and now only use a vaporizer. I load about 0.2 grams into it each time, take three or four hits, and then dump it out. That’s enough for me in one sitting with the stuff I usually use. After an hour or two, I might do it again, and maybe a third time later. In a day, I’ll go through about 0.6 grams over three sittings, and I stay solidly high the whole time. Some days I only use a total of 0.4 grams over two sittings. It depends on how I feel. When I have used mid-grade weed, I often loaded two rounds of 0.2 grams back-to-back, so I would vape 0.4 grams in one go. An hour later, I might add another 0.2 grams, but from there, no matter how much I consume, I never seem to get fully high. There’s a limit. I don’t fully understand why, but it seems that no amount of mid-grade weed gives me the same high as the stronger stuff. That's the real reason why I'm not a big fan of it. That’s just my honest experience. I don’t look down on lower-priced weed; I buy it from time to time to have around or to give to friends, but I rarely use much of it myself. When I do, it’s usually after I’ve had the higher-quality stuff and want something less strong to cap off the evening.

Why not just smoke less instead of it's too strong? I purposely don't use any of this mid-grade weed for the opposite reason. There is nothing wrong with it, but I could easily go through over a gram in a day without ever getting solidly high. I pay 2-3 times the cost of mid-grade, but I stick to the stronger stuff that is labeled in Thailand as "exotic". This way I need to consume less, which is better for overall health I believe, and I get a stronger high (while using a lot less weed) than I have ever gotten from any of the mid-grade stuff.

Agreed. There is a certain degree in life of misfortune, wrong place, wrong time. But generally, the understanding is that you make your own luck, good or bad. And this geezer certainly has made his own. Nobody has mistreated him, abused him, nor is he a victim of anything other than his own laziness and grifter mentality. If anything, he has possibly harmed others by taking from them when he shouldn't have.
