  1. A separate licence for Motorcycles is required. I applied for both a car and motocycle licence using my UK licence and IDP and all I needed to do was pass a traffic light brake machine test,a colour chart test and a peripheral vision test. No theory test or driving test required for either licence in Nonsung Udon Thani.

  6. I applied on 7th December and received it on 13th December.
  7. I have applied for and received my single entry tourist visa and downloaded it to my tablet. Does this have to be printed or can I just show it to the airline and Immigration on my tablet?

  11. Yes initialy but I also had to attend their office in Sukhumvit as once the application is done online they give you an appointment.
  12. UK passports are issued from the UK not India. I renewed my passport using VFS in Bangkok and all they do is forward everything to Liverpool.
  13. It is one website that you apply to but depending on where you live determines which Embassy will process your application. It seems that different Embassies have different requirements. Not ideal but typical for Thailand.
  14. On the application to the London Embassy there is only a dropdown box to tick which asks how much you earn per year. No proof was sasked for.
  15. Submitted my application yesterday and when you click on proceed to payment your entire application is displayed for you to review before payment.
  16. I have also received an email confirmation that multiple entry is no longer available. The advice was to apply for single entry and extend in Thailand.
  17. As A Thai speaker myself I would have said that the last bloke paid ฿70 and that is the price I will pay you. Chances are he would have smiled and agreed. What is the point of learning Thai if you are not going to use it to your advantage?
  18. You can not become Thai. You can only be born Thai. You might have a Thai passport but you will never be Thai.

  20. This is another option and will cost more than a single wntry Non - O and is extra hassle. Much easier to obtain a visa in the UK before you leave.
  21. You can apply for a Non - O single entry visa for retirement. This will give you 90 days in Thailand. This needs to be applied for in the UK online and will be issued by the London Embassy. It does not show on the London Embassy website but it is available. When you start the online application there is a dropdown box to tick .
