I was thinking same when i writed the reply. last week there was rainy/claudy days but still some sun at times and i was able to produce some power and even charge batteries. But right now im producing 0 watt. Im surprised how much power i can produce in a cloudy day without much sunny weather. If I had managed my power usage a bit better i guess I could manage a day or 2 more with my 2 x 280A (30kh)
A funny thing i noted. I see my wife checking battery capacity on here phone and adjust usage after the capacity.

Im on 30 days off grid since switched over, but now its raining and Im on 66% battery so lets see if I can "survive" this day and next before need to switch over to grid. I use ATS and expect to do the switching manually. I will save some battery for emergency if ever on grid and grid down in the bad weather. How much battery capacity you have? How many rainy days can you "survive" ?

Currently I measure 32 degree air temperature.. Goal is hat the machinery and circuits are cool enough. I guess temp will raise more with more routers pc equipment etc in the room.

My 5m2 technical room have always been a cold room because no windows and how its built. After get 2 x Growatt inverters in there its getting quite hot in there so I consider to find a way to cool the room down in a way that make sense. Maybe some cooler direct from a dedicated solar panel?

I was surprised today to see that i got quite good level of solar power even in a light raining, cloudy day. At 14.15 my batteries was recharged, so Im exited how long i can keep running without my ATS kicking inn.

Is there any reason to not run power greedy applications like a rice machine and power tools on solar power from hybrid inverter? Im getting 7k watt or so middle of day and our rice machine uses 3kw or so (4hp)?

The EV will do the magic for your ROI and must be counted !!! Im "semi offgrid" I dont have any grid supply to my inverters but i do have a ATS with grid power so im very exited to see hoe much i can live without it kicking in with any grid power. I guess 2-3 rainy days...

Yes you are correct in morning i use to see 55-65% remaining capacity. Last day i see 5W at 05.55. 08.xx I use to have more solar power than usage so charge start, then finish around lunchtime. I have set charge limit to 50A.

I have very few days to refer too but charge current most of the time 20-30A. Charge time have been 4-6 hours. With latest settings there is very little or no balancing needed in the end today.

I can only speak from my experience this days. With voltage 56v and before that 57v some of the cells picked up much faster on the higher voltage and then BMS got quite busy to try balance out that most by discharging.
Pink
Done some small adjustments on JKBMS settings and reduced Growatt charge voltage to 55v and now it charge in a better way and very less volt difference between the cells.

Ok thats quite good. I see many talks about cents per day per unit on mining now. What you mine? Do you have some links and details to share? Feel free to share here or PM me with any info you have to share.

Anyone thought of any usage of the excess solar energy some of us have after batteries are full and its still much energy who could be used for something usefully?
Pink
Thanks for that info.. I got same 100% SOC on 3.35 so all is fine then. I also want to be moderate on charge and battery voltage so then all fine.
Pink
I have watched quite a few and I think the setup is ok. The question is if its normal or not for the batteries to struggle to get over 3.35v? Capacity wise it seems ok..
