I recall when my daughter was 2, she swallowed a Mentos lolly which her mum gave her without my knowledge, we were at Swampy and walking along, when our daughter started choking, I asked my wife whats wrong with her, what did she eat, and her reply was a Mentos, you could imagine me going to into shock after reading all the time how many kids choke on those round small battery's the size of a Mentos, but not as thick...fark me, I grabbed her, pick her up, and flipped her upside down and gave her a smack on the back as onlookers were wondering what the fark was going on, and it flew out, thank God with the little one crying.
The wife got a few words from me I can tell you, I will leave it at that.
But well done to all who assisted, sad to hear the bub has some brain function problem, and hope recovers to normal, because as he grows, he will get a serve of it from everyone else in this world ????
Lucky escape. There is a technique called the "heimlich manoeuvre" ... worth checking out on You Tube ...

I suggest you enjoy your gloating while it lasts though. Brexit will happen in the end, if Remainers want to drag this process on for another couple of years then they can accept the consequences for that but it won't change anything, there is no way this genie is going back into the bottle. You can force delay upon delay, there will be a General Election sooner or later. Revoke? Get ready for Farage, he isn't going anywhere either.
You can only ignore the wishes of the people for so long. If you wish to harm the country by putting it on hold for another 2-3 years while Parliament embarrasses itself then feel free, it won't change the result in the end.
The "people" are dying every month, and are being replaced by younger people who don't hate "johnny foreigner" ... or even use that term?
Farage is a busted flush. All he'll do is gift marginal seats to the Liberal Democrats from the Tories. Ruth Davidson's hatred of lying Johnson will boost the SNP, she will not be campaigning for Johnson's Brexit and she is one of the few Tories who are popular in Scotland. London will be a good stamping ground for the Lib Dems.
It's either Brexit with a deal or no Brexit at all after a second referendum ... take your pick.

Of course, should Lab/LibDem win an election they will let us have a 2nd election. A second vote, to make sure people really understood what they voted for. And then maybe a 3rd? All this time without actually assuming power and governing as per the electoral mandate. Right?!
For the last month Boris Johnson has been charging around the UK with a bag of Philip Hammond's savings making spending announcements left, right and centre ... as well as charming our European friends and trying to con them that he is serious about a deal. So far so good, and with no opposition to deal with you get a boost in the polls.
But that mask slipped only recently, the pursuit of "a deal" was a sham and the real objective was to run down the clock, engineer a "no deal" Brexit and then go to the polls once we are out of the EU, but before the disaster of "no deal" becomes apparent to voters, thereby eliminating the threat from the Brexit Party, ensuring victory. That's what prorogation was all about. And now he looks increasingly rattled and less assured. It turns out that he's mistaken Dominic Cummings inspired bullying as a strategy. But neither he nor Cummings are half as clever as they think they are ... and voters are waking up to him. Expect another hung parliament with the Lib Dems forcing through a second referendum. Factor in demographics and death statistics and we'll find that the current "will of the people" is Remain.
Don't shoot the messenger.

Funny how all the Remainers have been crying out for a second vote, and when they get their chance they don't want it because they know they'd get smashed at the polls and you'd end up with a massive Leave majority in Parliament.
The opposition are likely to vote against a General Election so they can keep their Remain Parliament and continue to frustrate the process for another couple of years. For Remainers complaining about the pound weakness, buckle in because these games are only making it worse and embarrass the UK political system even further.
Where you crying as you wrote that? I thought Brexit was about “taking back control” by Parliament? Now it seems to be about tinpot dictators shutting down parliament to deny elected representatives a say? Labour not falling into a trap that would enable Johnson to engineer “no deal” ... Johnson looking increasingly rattled now that he is getting some push back. He looks increasingly like a loser ... a fitting end to his career as a political chancer.

It was confirmed shortly afterwards that they will in fact lose the whip. So "Poundland Churchill" has just sacked Churchill's grandson.

Boris Johnson single handedly destroys his own party ... instead of "taking back control" he completely loses control ... and his transparent ruse to force a General Election is likely to back fire badly ... he won't get that until "no deal" is off the table.
Rejoice, Rejoice, Rejoice!

You put too much emphasis on personal issues like whether someone smiles at you or not and not enough on systematic changes to the terms of living here for a foreigner ... new immigration rules that give the impression that they want to get shot of as many westerners as possible, with the exception of those foreigners who are willing to pay for the privilege through elite visa system or by leaving large sums of money dead in a Thai Bank account. And constant monitoring through TM30 ... they will soon be microchipping your arm at the airport.
Although the rules have constantly changed over the decades we’ve only really seen this since the military’s coup ... with a growing emphasis on nationalism.
My conclusion is that the rules are designed to make you feel unwelcome ... because you are.

The only saving grace is at least this nonsense is coming to a head ... faced with a “no deal” Brexit will Parliament simply revoke Article 50 on the eve of that calamity?

Burger King's burger is superior to McDonald's I suspect because they use better raw ingredients, that they have to pay more for. So the price is higher for a legitimate reason. If you go to a specialist burger restaurant they use even better raw materials, and the burger is therefore even more expensive.
You get what you pay for.

Tomorrow I plan to have a drive round to check it out.As weird as your experience was it might actually have been a legitimate story. I reckon you just need to be more vigilant for a few weeks, but otherwise don’t be concerned about it.

It's right up there with his hate of Obama a great president of whom Trump is insanely jealous, for him it is impossible that an Asian country could rival and overtake America.
Correct, and his infantile policy of destroying anything initiated by Obama has lost him a key strategic move in this area, the Trans Pacific Partnership would have given the US significant influence in the area, instead of the Chinese Belt and Braces initiative. His policy of bullying and humiliating allies is playing into China’s hands. If Trump survives in 2020 he might find that these countries join together and push back on the US. The follow up to “Art of the Deal” is entitled “How to lose friends and alienate countries”.

I’d be surprised if you had any issues ... you are moving around a lot and not staying long in Thailand during any period. I’d qualify that if you have an extensive history of long stays in Thailand.

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa ConnectI think that may be his thinking, but China may have other ideas, and prolong it through 2020 to get rid of him. They might start dumping US Treasury Bonds in the run up to the vote.

The only positive is that by trashing the stock market and pushing the US into recession he’ll be a one term president ... winning.
The US tried tariffs before, during the 1930’s, with all the same clowns cheering them on ... towards the Great Depression.
