  1. Or Haribo's and Lays that I was discussing in another topic yesterday, it is Thai food as it has Thai writing on the packets if bought from 7/11 sweet and salty at the same time, thread cross contamination apologies 🤪
  2. India are like the Thai equivalent of a butterfly they will just join anything as long as it's good for them. The rest apartfrom Japan are NATO. Again was reading something the other day the Japanese are actively rearming themselves from the pacifist nation they became after the war and who can blame them, the US mostly support them and China is only a few miles from them, and NK keep on testing missiles over them!
  3. The most true statement in the entire thread @John Drake North Korea have shown an interest in joining that's a whole new can of worms and would definitely require new AN Topics 🤣 https://www.scmp.com/news/asia/east-asia/article/3279765/north-korea-eyes-membership-china-led-brics-amid-growing-ties-russia
  4. Seeking is the key word John 🙂
  5. They go to the meetings but not a member and I am not 100% sure about this but I read an article where the government had approved seeking membership but that is probably also BS as the same government approved buying a Submarine they never needed that also never happened also the government aren't so clued up on governing given they have 250 non-elected junta appointed senators (fresh in my mind posting on something similar the other day) so the army can approve anything they want, the only upside is it means there will be no coup until the political imbalance of 250 non-elected senators changes I will start posting again when I get out of jail for all my posts! 🤣
  6. Some accurate facts here for sure, some misinterpretations and some speculation! I hasn't been on a sanction list it has been on a treasury watch list which is completely different, obviously around currency manipulation type stuff. Thailand is a MNNA to the US, I'll let you guys google that one, but means they do Army type stuff together and would make the US a lot more reluctant to impose anything upon thailand. If Thailand did join BRICS then would definitely cause a a big Trump (slang for fart) given then they would be directly aligned with Russia and China, and "suffer the consequences" is definitely correct terminology. Historically Thailand have kept out of larger geopolitical issues like this so I would be surprised if they did join BRICS (China)
  7. Tuna is important I agree, starts with a T but only has 4 letters in it and not 5 - we are getting slightly off the political track in this topic chaps 🤪
  8. I am not even sure why people even discuss BRICS as you might just as well say China they contribute about 70% of the groups income. Russia only joined to p1$$ NATO off and India who have a space program but are still quite happy to take handouts from NATO countries these two are the only other two relevant countries in it. Brazil and South Africa just hang on the coat tails of it with hopes of benefiting from China's economy which they have through mainly loans and investment from the disproportionate amount of money China put into it, China have given up diplomacy and have just decided to buy the world. Very similar to formerly the UK being part of the EU, I am sure the new hashtag of BRIXIT won't be far off 🙂
  9. Yeah totally disagree with this send him to the gallows it is just taking the p1$$
  10. You must be famous even ChatGPT knows about you 🤣
  11. Yeah very true I used to like and visit with friends working there but you might as well be in a more expensive and robbing version of Pattaya in the centre of HK now if you are into nightlife. As for stuff to do I went up the hill on that vertical train which was OK. I think Disney opened after the last time I visited. But yeah the comparison stats on visitors, China receives on average the number of visitors equivalent to 10% of its population, Thailand receives visitors the equivalent of 60% of its population, I think I'll stay put here.
  12. I quoted you didn't I? Did you read the quote from your own post?
  13. Quite simply the Australians are way ahead of any country on illegal immigration, fire warning shots at the immigrant boats (I am not saying shoot people) as a deterrent. Trump has hinted at similar actions, but all of us will be long gone before the UK would dream of such a tactic it would be 'black'listed to even discuss anything like that with the many thousands of forbidden words in the UK, Europe wouldn't do it because once they leave France are no longer Europe's problem (Conspiracy theory 😂 I reckon a portion of the money the UK gives to France to prevent illegal immigration is probably going on purchasing more stable Dinghy's to ensure they make it out of French Sovereign water safely) https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jan/16/australian-navy-shot-in-the-air-to-turn-back-asylum-boat
  14. I think most of the riots in the UK have been to do with a feeling that authorities have singled out minority communities rather than riot about them being in the UK, defeats the object of your post. As for warming to us, when they get off the Dinghy's do we give them nice blankets, some food, money and a nice place to live? (and more recently let their families come over while they sort their fake Asylum out as 30 years olds pretending to be 15 so Social services will take care of them?)
  15. Or try this one, the poor girl was only 10 years old and got beaten to death by her family the ones that are supposed to protect her Calling 999 (911 US) he claimed he had "legally punished her" and told the operator "I beat her up, it wasn't my intention to kill her, but I beat her up too much" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Sara_Sharif Is that enough evidence?
  16. I agree for sure with that and I doubt Trumps target would directly be Thailand in particular it would more than likely be anyone showing support to China like you said. He (or his administration) have tried to do the same to the UK if they don't pick a side between Europe and the US (as much as I disagree with a lot of Starmers policies he has rightly essentially told him to F off) all playground type stuff if you ask me!
  17. I think the 100% is scaremongering, Starmer has made his postition clear on bowing to the US even if he needs to sort things out like immigration policies, it will likely be 25% like most other countries including the UK. Even 25% would still screw Thailand up to the tune of over $4 billion https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-11-20/thai-economy-seen-taking-4-6-billion-hit-from-trump-tariff-plan
  18. Not exactly an aspiring MacGyver!
  19. He did change the policy during his first Administration, Biden reversed it! https://www.worldtribune.com/dei-injected-into-aviation-system-by-obama-was-stopped-by-trump-but-re-started-by-biden/
  20. Heres hoping - the country is going to excrement
  21. Might attract a few comments this - think there are some ladies that use AN 😂
