You are aware of how this started, right? The sad truth is many get their info from left wing media sites which distort what really was going on. Hmm....
Left wing media are known for not distorting the truth?
True, but to be fair, right wing media distorts the truth as well.

My concern now is that because the deliberation has gone on longer then some might have expected it will create an expectation of a guilty verdict to one charge or another. If that doesn't occur then yeah, there might be violence. I was expecting a quicker verdict and no violence previously.

The guy doesn't appear to be all there in my opinion, I mean, who in their right mind would go to a place where there is a riot happening to protect someone's business and take their firearm and into another state if I am not mistaken.
He might be young, but hey at 17-18 unless he is not all there, you would think he knew better, guns kill, and to be honest, he had no place being there.
Two lives have been lost because of his actions and one man has been wounded, I mean one has to ask would he be man enough to go there barehanded, no, and one question I have is, what is with the light blue surgical gloves, is that on case he had to ditch the gun so that no finger prints could be lifted if he did ditch it if he got in trouble or gun powder residue on his hands ?
He will have to do time in my opinion as the others were unarmed from my understanding, 10-20 years wouldn't be unheard of and would send a message to others, i.e. don't go to riots and don't carry a firearm unless it's registered to you and in the state your in, simple, he broke the law on all counts, e.g. if he wasn't there with a firearm, two people wouldn't be dead.
As for the guy who gave him the gun, he should also be charged for providing him with it.
I believe the guy who gave him the gun is or will be charged and I imagine they will throw the book at him.

Nothing peaceful about repeatedly pointing an AR15 at protesters after being told by the police to leave.
The standard is whether or not it is lawful. If it isn't I expect the jury will ave something to say about it.

No dog in this fight. I don't like cops, punk Rambo wannabes, or SJWs using manufactured neoracism as a pretext for rioting. I am very concerned about the fall of America's democracy however and the media dissembling that is facilitating it. I expect the jury will come to the appropriate conclusions.

Everyone remembers the media's loud, inflammatory accusations. No one seems to remember their weeks or months later quiet retractions. And that's just the way they like it.

From the video footage , the protesters were still on the streets protesting
Indeed, but the planned protest was over. This was not an organized protest any longer as the millions of dollars in property damage can attest.

Doesn't seem you understand why they were protesting. I'm guessing you're a white guy.
The BLM led protest ended hours before the Rittenhouse shooting event.

That is just the way the media wants it, though I'm not sure it will come to pass. All this started by the media lying about a police shooting and the circumstances surrounding it. Then they lied about a "mostly peaceful protest" and the circumstances surrounding it. Then they lied about the circumstances surrounding the Rittenhouse shootings None of that is to say this wannabe kid should have been there that night in any capacity much less with a gun.

Part of the disgraceful conduct of this case is that Rittenhouse has not been charged for his violations of weapons laws. He obtained his gun illegally since he was below the age for a license. And he carried across state boundaries, which is probably another offense. Rittenhouse has also associated with white supremacists. It is probably fair that that fact could not be introduced into the case, but we the public are fully entitled to consider it.
He may be convicted for shooting Huber who only had a skateboard and therefore did not pose a threat to Rittenhouse's life.
I hope that Huber and the families of the murder victims sue Rittenhouse and are able to seize whatever income Rittenhouse ever acquires.
One problem we have now is that people judge a person's guilt or innocence before the law on what they wish would happen rather than the actual law. It is not surprising given that the media often misrepresents events and relays opinions as facts.
I believe he "may" be charged with a weapons violation if the rifle barrel s too short. He did not cross state lines with a weapon and I believe he met with the Proud Boys post the shooting event, so irrelevant. Precedent on the skateboard goes to an Olympia, WA cop shooting two kids because he "feared for his life". Shooting deemed justified.
Not that the law allows for it but my idea of a fair penalty would be stripping Rittenhouse of his right to carry any firearm for life thereby ensuring he never finds himself in a security or law enforcement role, ever.

I agree with your take. Just imagine if the 500 National Guard troops about to be deployed had been deployed the night of the riots that precipitated this event. That's the US. Always time and money and outrage to deal with downstream events but never the will to prevent bad things from happening.

Thanks very much. I'm in the states but I'll have my wife give them a call. She's not far from there.

My wife will be travelling from Thailand back to the states in the next few weeks. 2 legs and a fairly long layover. Can someone tell me please where she can buy an N-95 mask there in Chiang Mai? Thank You!

Thailand could get back to so called normal faster than most of the rest of the world IF they continue to shut out the world. But if they want to open up again they are going to be more on the global timetable.

LOL. In 1946 Britain was still a major military power. Now however .............................................
IMO Thailand has nothing to fear from ignoring Britain. What's Britain going to do,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ban Britons from going to LOS for fun times?
The Kra Canal has been mooted for a very long time and would be a good idea, but the Singaporeans would be against it as it would sink Singapore's shipping related industry. Perhaps a solution would be to get them to build it and take a percentage of passage fees. I'd certainly be for them to be doing the maintenance.
No, it's not really a good idea at all. True, Singapore benefits from it's chandlery and bunkering services but that's just a tiny fraction of economic life there. The reason it's not a good idea has more to do with imperialistic aims than it does with economics.

I thought anybody and everybody entering Thailand needed the Health Certificate from the local (departing place) Embassy and that included Thais, are we missing something here.... or the fabrication of "fake" health certificate business is up and running
My wife flew to Thailand 15 days ago from the US. She leaves quarantine today. She was required to get a "fit to fly" certificate within 72 hrs of her departure. This was provided by a local walk in clinic at the cost of $70. No CV 19 testing, just a confirmation of general good health.

Apaarently the Wuhan Coronavirus Research Labratory is off limits for this inquiry. I hope the "investigators" at least get some good dim sum for their trouble.

It has been widely suspected for 2 months now, and a certainty for a month that the Sars CoV2 virus originated from the Wuhan lab and is the product of "gain of function" research. A practice that has been outlawed in the US due to the extreme risks associated with it. No one is charging the Chinese (yet) with having purposely unleashed the virus and current thinking is it was released as the result of poor labratory safety practices.

Here’s the LA Consulate phone 323 962-9578. They are making this an extremely difficult process. You have to fill out a 7 page online questionnaire and upload a .25 mb photo and submit to Thai authorities, in Thailand and wait 4 weeks for a response. If approved then you can start the visa process by mailing your documents (no walk ins) and money order to the consulate in Los Angeles. They will respond within 15 days. If approved you’ll need a fit to fly certificate and a negative COVID test within 72 hours. That may difficult given Los Angeles is ground zero for COVID in the USA now and most test take 6-8 days for results.
If you start now you may get approval by late August. Trying to time the Covid test to coincide with your flight is a gamble. I wish someone in Thai government would walk step by step through the requirements they expect us to follow.
I should have been more clear. This is for a Thai on a repatriation flight. Same requirements apply but when my wife called the LA Consulate hotline the boy there said he would have a doctor call her and they'd handle her "fit to fly" over the phone and then she'd be texted her approvalto fly. She's still waiting on that call so I'll report what transpired when that takes place.

I heard from a Thai friend, whom I'm not able to reach now, that there is an online option, more convenient and cheaper, for receiving the Medical Certificate (fit to fly). Does anyone have any details on where that may be obtained? I didn't see any details on the LA Consulate's website. I'll check the Embassy's website.

According to Epstein's Virgin Islands IT guy, Epstein had a very elaborate audio and video recording system installed all over the island. If those recordings exist, and are in the hands of a third party, say a lawyer or journalist, then I like Ghislaine's chances of living out the year.

Did you read paragraph 2 on that page you linked to?
"KFF polling finds public support for Medicare-for-all shifts significantly when people hear arguments about potential tax increases or delays in medical tests and treatment (Figure 10). KFF polling found that when such a plan is described in terms of the trade-offs (higher taxes but lower out-of-pocket costs), the public is almost equally split in their support (Figure 11). KFF polling also shows many people falsely assume they would be able to keep their current health insurance under a single-payer plan, suggesting another potential area for decreased support especially since most supporters (67 percent) of such a proposal think they would be able to keep their current health insurance coverage (Figure 12)."
I don't understand the nearly religious attachment to Medicare for all. The goal of health care reform should be universal coverage. Plenty of countries do that via private health insurance.
What I'd like to see is a national referendum whereby the question is asked "Should healthcare be provided to all Americans whereby it is free at point of service or should no healthcare be provided for any Americans whereby it is free at point of service". I can live with either outcome. What I can't accept is that some get it and some don't.

Once again we see how beautifully broken the US two party system is.
Wrong for one party always has to be what ever is deemed right by the other party.
Put "none of the above" on the ballot & see how many of the usual suspects never see office again
I can't support either one of the leading candidates.
Americans overwhelmingly support Support single payor Medicare For All healthcare insurance:

I haven't followed closely but wasn't the Proud Boys meeting after the shooting and largely a fundraising exercise? If it was after it would not be germane to the case and maybe not even if it was prior to the shooting.
