Hey, wait a minute.... Kamala is now the official candidate?!? When did that happen? The Democrats haven't even had their convention yet, the voters haven't had a chance to voice their opinions.... this is some kind of palace coup within the Party. The elites put her forward after kicking Joe to the curb, didn't even wait 24 hours. I also noticed that the article in the OP took pains to mention that she is black on at least 2 occasions. Yet made NO mention of her Brahmin Indian heritage, which is actually a larger part of her background. Trying to cover up her elitist reality, no doubt.

Pushing so hard for an early debate, before the two were even the official candidates of their respective parties, was another part of the cover-up. Presidential debates are typically late September. So why do it now? It gave the elites who control the Democratic Party a chance to evaluate Joe and see if he could be dragged across the finish line. And also see how much his decline in mental faculties had progressed. And if he was found wanting, they had more time to find an alternative candidate before possibly embarrassing themselves by confirming Biden at their convention in August.

At least I know enough about it to spell it properly. And I have done some research into it, a crazy topic that could become a rabbit hole if you aren't careful. I do know that it puts her in the top 1% of Indian society. Similar to her father being from an elite family in Jamaica. Interesting (to me anyway) aside- in the US, many states now have included 'caste' in discrimination laws. Seems the Indian diaspora has brought some unfortunate things with it.

It is not a 'perceived infirmity'. Joe was declining. Everybody knew, but nobody said anything. The cover-up will become more obvious as time goes by. Even his Hollywood friends and backers noticed. And yes, he would lose to the convicted business document alterer. For the Democratic Party, THAT was the unforgivable sin. Hope you are right that Harris becomes the new nominee, by whatever non-democratic process the Democrats decide to use. She is easier to beat than many of the alternatives.

Of course, because it is convenient for her to not remember that her mother is from the Brahmin caste, the most elite and some would say racist caste in India. That certainly would not go over well with her Democratic Socialist buddies. Nor would her father's assertion that he is descended from one of Jamaica's largest slave owners.

Trump picks J.D. Vance as running mate for VP at Republican convention
Hanaguma replied to webfact's topic in World News
Yes. He was raised by his maternal grandmother, whose family lived in Appalachian Kentucky. Any other questions? -
Biden has pulled out of 2024 Presidential election race. What next?
Hanaguma replied to Woof999's topic in Political Soapbox
Where is Biden hiding? No photos, no voice calls, nothing. I understand that he might be sicker than everyone thought, but a little transparency would be nice. -
I think they would. The problem is that Shapiro would enrage the anti-semitic wing of the Democratic party. Otherwise, I think he would be a better candidate at the TOP of the ticket than Kamala. But that wont happen. Also why he probably won't be picked for the VP slot. Interesting to see Jim Clyburn playing kingmaker again. Kamala is a result of his deal with Biden in 2020. Is he trying to do the same thing?
