  1. To quote Hannibal Lecter, "you covet what you see". If you're a barfly and spend a lot of time barfining women in gogos and bars, eventually you're likely to get tired of it and maybe find a girl that you have a connection with. Whether you marry them or not depends on many factors. But if you're not of the "monger" persuasion, it's highly unlikely you'll meet a decent bargirl let alone marry one!
  2. In order to get an Extension of Stay based on Work from an employer, it's necessary for the foreigner to reside in the the same immigration area as the employer. What's the usual practice for online/home-based workers, for example, employed by a Bangkok-based employer to work from home, who happen to reside in a different immigration province?
  3. Perhaps you should come here and you might find out!
  4. If you meet someone and fall in love, why does the job she was doing at the time matter?
  5. The coffee might be average, but as a brand I'm happy to see more Starbucks opening up. Well managed, quiet, comfortable and their 'no hassle' policy after you've made a single purchase is a boon for students and teachers doing private lessons!
  6. I live in a 2-storey house and have a wifi router on each floor. Does having the router in the same room as the device (e.g. internet TV, laptop) make a difference to the connection? Should the router be placed right next to the device for the optimum result?
  7. 1. No 2. No.
  8. What do you mean by "extensions being issued to those from other provinces"?
  9. These seem ubiquitous these days. Are they worth it? Does anyone recommend a particular model? Are you tied to buying Nespresso capsules forever and do they represent value for money. Thinking of changing from a coffee filter machine.
  10. What a great post. Thanks for writing it and good to read some sense about this topic.
  11. Agreed. It's provocative nonsense, designed to shock or, worse, titillate.
  12. If one is to believe AMM on X/Twitter, the 'deal' is off.
  13. An iconic and very misunderstood performer. Very sad.
  14. Can both foreign parents be added to a child's Ed visa for attending school?
  15. Apologies for the directness, but it does get me a little riled up when people post things as if they're a truth. I met my GF when she was 19 and I was 49, married her and had a child when she was 25 and I was 55, and 8 years later things are going well. I might be 62 but I'm enjoying being a dad and a husband to a younger woman.
  16. What a load of nonsense! Plenty of men don't settle down and get married until they're in their 50s and if they want children, they need to find a younger wife. I truly wonder if some BMs live in or have ever been to Thailand!
  17. Thanks. My thoughts too. Thai education seems to love these "competitive" tests.
  18. He's not on Sky. He's on Rupert Murdoch's Talk TV channel, on cable and YouTube.
  19. He's the main presenter on Rupert Murdoch's Talk TV (on cable, YouTube).
  20. My British son (8-years-old) switched from an International School to a Thai Bi-lingual/English Program school a year ago. The school keeps sending me details of various external Tests such as Thailand English Skills Evaluation Test (TESET), the National Academic Test (NAT), Asian Science and Mathematics Olympiad (ASMO) and English Language competition, Japan International Science and Math Olympiad (JISMO). They all require an entry fee, which is fine, but I have no idea how essential external tests like these are. Do they have any bearing on the student's progress through the Thai system to Secondary level? Or are they just a money-making exercise for Thai parents who like to show off their kids?
