Court of Appeal rules: Government plan to send some asylum seekers to Rwanda is unlawful.
Thank goodness for the Courts. Time for this evil government to go.

Two young girls rescued from an illegal karaoke bar in Bangkok
Yes, unfortunately it's endemic throughout Thailand, although less so in the areas frequented by westerners, like Pattaya. Just because many locals are indifferent to the issue and many of the authorities happy to accept their brown envelopes, doesn't mean that us members shouldn't be outraged when it's publicised.

Seeking alternative health insurance quotes to Pacific Cross/Prime..
WRLife are very competitive and becoming quite popular with expats here. Search this Forum and you'll find mixed opinions, but so far, no examples of any major issues. https://www.wrlife.net/

Two young girls rescued from an illegal karaoke bar in Bangkok
No it isn't. Aspects of prostitution, like being underage, soliciting and running a brothel are illegal (so, most of what this thread is about), but prostitution per se is not illegal and is steeped in Thai traditions.

Under 18s cannot give "consent" for paid-for/prostitution sexual services. Even in the backward USA.

Thai National on foreign passport - What visa extension options
Yes. They have to (or should) leave Thailand on the passport they entered on. But they can then enter on their new Thai passport. Unless I'm missing something! @sirineou's option is worth looking at too.

Is it possible to change school from one province to another without leaving the country?
brewsterbudgen replied to frequentlyaskedquestions's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work PermitsAs @problemfarang says, it's possible but certainly not easy, and requires cooperation and coordination from both employers. If they're in different provinces, it will be even harder! Far easier to get a new visa. Surely the new school can give you a few days off to get it sorted?

Thai National on foreign passport - What visa extension options
What passport do they hold? Easiest option is to enter visa exempt (if their passport allows this) which gives them 30 days (extendable by another 30) to get their Thai passport. Then they just need to do a border run, leaving on the foreign passport, and re-entering as a Thai citizen.

Getting a new passport while out of Thailand
There's no longer a requirement for an Embassy letter for UK passports renewed in Thailand either.

Elvis the underage sex predator: Laid bare in a string of interviews, the King's disturbing obsession with very young girls
A lot of dodgy stuff went on in Hamburg in 1960/62.

Elvis the underage sex predator: Laid bare in a string of interviews, the King's disturbing obsession with very young girls
I wonder if there was any rock/pop star in the the 1960s, 70s & 80s who didn't sleep with teenage groupies?

My son (Australian citizen / Thai born) entering Thailand on an Aussie passport?
If his Aussie passport is his first, he'll need to show his Thai birth certificate when departing Thailand. He can return to Thailand visa exempt as an Australian citizen but he'll be 'overstaying' once the 30 days is up. Not a huge issue for a kid, as he cannot be fined or banned for overstaying, but if he leaves Thailand on that passport it will be stamped as 'overstay'. If he attends an international school here, they may insist that he's not on overstay. Of course, if you can get his Thai passport sorted, it will solve a lot of problems!

Transferring a Thai visa after renewing a British passport
Good to see some unnecessary bureaucracy being done away with. Another saving for the UK tax payer ????

Other than on the initial application, I've never had to do this for my son's schools.

Online 90-day report. How long to wait for approval?
Previously, my online 90-day reports have been approved within a few days of submission. This time, the application was submitted on 28 March and the email receipt received immediately. However, no approval has been received yet. The 90-day due date was 30 March. If never arrives and I leave it, will I be able to submit the next one online at the end of June?

English speaking optician?
I need a new prescription for my varifocal glasses which I've always had done previously in Bangkok. Pattaya is the nearest place now where hopefully I can find somewhere recommended, and where the optician speaks English. Are the malls (Terminal 21, Central Festival) the best places for this?
