Don't believe these sham reviews from sockpuppet accounts with only 2 posts.  They must pay someone to post these on various forums.  It's been a horrible service for me in Thailand and now I am stuck with it for a year.  I also have a US based service with more US programming that has not had nearly as much buffering as this does, also a lot more of the US based programming I want to watch.  So now I am paying for two services when only one is of any use.  It was supposed to be better than other services because they have Asia-based servers.  That has not been my experience.  Waste of money.

No it's not just me.  It's been so bad they even sent out an email about it trying to blame Thailand internet providers.  Spoiler, the changes they claimed would fix it didn't.  I was having problems before this and these new apparent problems and changes have only made it worse.  MUCH worse.

I use PerfectPlayer (which used to be PulseTV).  It's been glitchy for a while too (there's a separate thread running) and I was thinking of switching to WizzTV as it usually gets good feedback.  Now I'm not so sure!

I had to stop using air conditioning as it gave me sickness

I love the heat in Thailand it's a moist wet heat not like Australia where it's a dry burning heat .

It was so hard to get used to at first ,but no way would I go back to that air conditioning

The problem is your body will not acclimatise to the heat if you keep using air conditioning, you will sweat without it , you need to get used to life without it.

Use fans even the industrial fans are good ,but please don't let your body become weak by using air con

Maybe for you, but for most a/c is essential.

I updated to version 1.2.1 yesterday and it seems to have fixed the issue on two units but still major problems with main TV unit. Following back from them after further bouts of complaints (told them how pissed off we all were and we were all looking for a new supplier). Following response:

"Please stand by for an app update which will use a different delivery system, this will be running by the end of the weekend and will make things much smoother for Thailand based users. There will also be many new great features added in this update".

I am missing Great British Menu because of this :cheesy::cheesy:

    🍻

Yes, I updated to the new version too.  Better movie/TV series selection and the Live TV stream is working well.  But still endless buffering issues with most catch-up TV.

This is intriguing - is it a new update and is it active yet?

  4. It is disappointing.  The movie/TV series collection is better than Pulse, but not having working catch-up or some news live streams is annoying.  I was with Pulse for about 6 years and pay the whole year up front, so pretty much stuck with Perfect for the next few months.

Everyone says Wizz are good, but I worry that their servers are in Thailand so could get shut down like Expat TV.  Perfect have servers in Singapore so safer, but that's probably why there's so much buffering.

They only mention the VISA section, this applies mostly to Thai nationals, if you don't need VISA to visit the UK. this doesn't concern you at the moment,

If you find this hard to understand, you'll struggle to navigate through life

    They mention HMPO now.

We are pleased to inform you that effective from 18 March 2024, the UK Visa Application Centre and the HMPO address in Bangkok, Thailand will be relocated to the new address below:

Visa Application Centre and HMPO address:

Yes, have been with Pulse for four years - now PerfectPlayer.

Would say system is far from perfect! Main issues we have is when trying to play historical stuff rather than live. Get a stream of letters along the bottom of the screen and program will not play. Also suffer from long buffering times on a regular basis.

    🍻

Yeah, me too.  They've told me a new server for SE Asia is being installed today which should improve the connection.

I've also not been able to connect to the Live Stream for CNN, Sky News and Fox News.

It's a shame the media only seem to print the pictures of the "men only" boats.

    It certainly sways people's opinions.

They seem to miss the "drowning deaths including children" or "women missing in the channel" stories.

Pretty much the entire media reporting of the issue in the UK is disgraceful.  Anyone would think there's an election coming.

Those disgraceful politicians you refer to, and I remember this case well, had first-hand knowledge of what this misfit did.

They stated at the time, if the British public had access to the information that they had, nobody would be giving her an ounce of sympathy.

This information was held by the judges at her hearing, hence many things were redacted, and a closed judgement issued for national security reasons.

This included participating and witnessing decapitation of aid workers, and she said at the time when ISIS was flying high that she was totally unfazed by it.

Furthermore, at the time, it was known that she was in a high position in the equivalent of the Women's morality ' police force ' set up to ensure all were following ISIS twisted version of Shariah law, again something she participated in willingly.

So all you bleeding hearts on AN can do one!

They should put themselves in the position of the families, and reserve their outpourings of sympathy for the of murder of innocent civilian aid workers, not a disgusting creature like this.

What she did supporting ISIS, she did knowingly and willingly, and this continued well into adulthood. She only played the victim, claiming she was trafficked when the tide of the war turned.

She wasn't trafficked, she overcame many obstacles to get there and join them, well she can bloody stay there.

Her own parents had begged her not to go and join them, which she and her two friends took no notice of.

Likewise, she had ample opportunity to apply for her Bangladeshi citizenship before she turned 21, which she chose to ignore and do nothing.

Then she should be convicted in a UK court and locked up.  The key can be thrown away for all I care.  I think you have missed the point!

Does it worry you? She obviously doesn't belong in the UK or else she wouldn't have travelled to join an organisation that believes cutting peoples heads off is the norm. When she saw heads of decapitated westerners in a rubbish bin she was quoted as saying that it didn't "faze" her.

She's a fool and was a dangerous fool who deserves to be punished.  But making her stateless is wrong and a purely political decision.  I have faith that the UK Supreme Court will overrule.

How about 3 months for Aussies Brits Yanks etc?

Perhaps if Australia, UK and USA gave Thais visa-free entry, Thailand might relax entry requirements for them as well.  But seeing as they already get 30 days + 30 days, or 60 days + 30 days with a visa, it's unlikely Thailand will be even more generous when there is zero reciprocity.

Lots of cars park on the beach side of Beach Rd, in fact a massive line of cars do that. And we all know it's illegal to park on that side of the road, causing traffic congestion. Why aren't the cops locking those vehicles and towing them away?

Give them time, they're probably busy.

In the tapestry of Thailand, there exists a thread of farang who resist assimilation into the fabric of their adopted homeland. They dwell in enclaves of familiarity, clinging to the echoes of their native tongue, traditions, and beliefs, while the rhythms of the new land swirl around them, unnoticed. These immigrants, bound by nostalgia and the comfort of the known, traverse the streets of their new country with a sense of detachment, cocooned in the safety of their own communities. Their journey becomes a delicate dance between preserving their identity and embracing the unfamiliar, a balance often tipped towards the former. Yet, in their isolation, they unwittingly erect barriers between themselves and the rich tapestry of experiences, opportunities, and diversity that their new home offers. Their reluctance to integrate, while rooted in the longing for familiarity, serves as a poignant reminder of the complexities inherent in the human experience of migration.

All good.  A diverse multi-cultural society is ideal.  How boring it would be if we all assimilated.
