  1. Normally if one wanted to switch from non O to non B it would be necessary to leave the country and return. However this is extremely difficult at present, impossible for many. Immigration has shown flexibility for tourists due to covid, is anything similar being done for people working here? Surely there must be something?
  2. Why should I google? Is he on Thaifriendly?
  3. I don't understand. How is it possible to be more or less of a man?
  4. No, that's not what I was referring to. It's they way so many people try incredibly hard to portray others as having some sort of phobia in regards to other people sex lives. Also how people try to show themselves and beliefs from their culture as superior to those from other cultures. It's like a form of white supremacy.
  5. Yes, I remember that, it was 25 years ago. I don't think the policy was ever implemented, if it was it was abandoned.
  6. My guess is it was planned. It's just to convenient, argument over tiny matter, straight out of the car and off to a friend's house and needs to stay there for a few days, because of what exactly? Certainly a successful strategy if after all of she is rewarded with a gift. I sympathize, with the US being tops for obesity, options are very limited. Not so sure she would be willing to jump out of the car if you were headed for a few days in Pattaya. How is the tantrum funded? Who pays for the couple of days away?
  7. That's great, your certainly on the right track. Hopefully in the future you can glory in the diversity of women also, as I'm sure many of the posters here do. Thai friendly may help.
  8. Used to make me chuckle, that was 20 years ago. I'm still fine with it though. The important thing to remember is none of us are that special.
  9. I love the way trans and LGBT people are accepted here and would hate to see it become like the West with it's divisiveness and hyper sensitivity. Thais don't need to learn anything from the West, in this regard a trans head of state in the UK, Canada etc. is irrelevant. Westerners need to stop trying to colonize other cultures with their strange ideas.
  10. Currently I am on a non-O spouse visa with a work permit through my business in Bkk. The visa is not is not issued in Bkk, it's in a neighboring province where I live. This year I want to switch to non-B. Is it likely that immigration will not allow this? Would the normal procedure be to visit my local imm office and ask them for a list of requirements? Thanks in advance.
  11. I think there's precedent in other countries for those charged with being gay and possibly for minor cannabis offences. It's a good thing that societies can admit they were wrong.
  12. Besides the masks, what offence was committed? Sounds like the type of thing that goes on every day here.
  13. I'm assuming they've fled recently across the border to Malaysia. Says a lot about border security in covid times.
  14. Every country? Would seem pointless if the accused is pleading not guilty. It should definitely not happen in front of the media, as it becomes a circus. They've been attempts to ban it here as it impinges on the rights of the accused to a fair trial.
  15. Cask wine, another great Aussie invention. Much appreciated by the homeless.
  16. Well, they thought it was champagne, the French had to take them to court they were so jealous.
  17. Still better than the French stuff. Australia even made champagne once.
  18. On August 5, I received Sinovac with my staff at paradise park in Sri Nakarin, Bkk. This was through work social security. I was no. 580 and among the last, so over 600 there. I'm 52, not obese, no health issues, physically at least. I was there several hours, but it was efficient enough, with well organized distancing etc. No side effects or pain, hardly felt it.
  19. The country has been closed to tourists for almost 18 months, the economic devastation has been going on since then, but we are not seeing the crimes you refer to. Just the usual taxi scams.
  20. As I understand it, foreign exchange reserves can't be used to stimulate economy, they are not part of the budget, hence the term 'reserve'. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the Baht was kept at 25 to the US$ for years by the government pegging it to the dollar and using reserves to maintain that position. The Baht was never devalued, it was un-pegged (floated), as the country hard run out of reserves. The fact that everyone know they would eventually float didn't help much.
  21. My daughter was separating our dogs when they were fighting and she got bit. The dogs are up to date with all vaccinations, however the clinic is telling us to go to the hospital for rabies shots. Is this really necessary? Our local hospital can be pretty bad, besides waiting hours the service is quite poor, there's never a doctor there, seems they are all interns. She may also need an x-ray, which would takes hours more. Do my daughter really need rabies shots?
