Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Smithson replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
Such a terrible precedent set by the illegal invasion and destruction of Iraq. Now Putin has his excuse and he gifts China an extra excuse to take Taiwan. Everyone saying Putin is a madman with nukes, shame they weren't talking earlier. So many years wasted instead of talking disarmament. -
Thai hospitality players move in on cannabis tourism
Smithson replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Cannabis tourism may attract Australians. Per capita they are among the world's highest users and the backward govt in no hurry to do change laws -
What about the young men that killed the disabled guy? That was big news for a while. Also the Swiss guy in Surin who killed the Thai man who came over his fence with a gun.

Now 52, I have been here since I was 23, in that time spent a total of a few months in Australia. It's no longer the country it once was, the easy going nature is just lip service these days, it's all rules and boredom.

Your definition of a pedophile is correct, however the bar on so many things has been lowered these days. These days it's common for ppl to refer to all underage sex as pedophilia. Similarly all sex work is trafficking. Apparently any US military in the presence of Thai women risk being court marshaled for trafficking. Besides tackling the demand side, Thailand could also do something about the supply side.

2Checkout Nightmare
Smithson replied to Smithson's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
They respond, but all they say is it's a priority, will be done asap, but that's all I get. Problem is most likely I've agreed to appalling service when I signed up. Plus I don't have a lawyer. -

2Checkout Nightmare
Smithson replied to Smithson's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I changed my bank details, but didn't change the account number, so the payment bounced back. I updated the info, but they are claiming nothings changed and now want a statement. They don't seem to read what I write at all. They take a least a day to respond with a short sentence telling me it's prioritized, will be done asap, but it's been a month and now the amount is very large. Most likely they will say no, if they can it will take a long time and most likely not be adequate. No, but I left a review somewhere else and they have contacted me. This shows they are purely concerned about reputation and don't want complaints in the public domain, but truth is the don't care about the customers at all. I give my customers much better service for much smaller amounts. They make $100s of me every month. Thanks, but I have a Thai company selling on Shopify and can't find a suitable provider. -
2Checkout Nightmare
Smithson replied to Smithson's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
They don't have Line or even chat for these problems. There is no number to call and they just tell me they have prioritized my problem, been going on for a month now. I can get a statement anytime, but they are asking for one with everything written in English and SWIFT codes. The bank doesn't do this and when I inform 2Checkout they are just ignoring it. -
Does anyone here use 2Checkout? I am using them for my Shopify store, there customer service has always been bad, but now they restricted my account for more than a month and are taking days to respond to my emails. They are holding a lot of my money and are making it impossible to get it released. There is no complaint mechanism and they are not reading my emails fully, instead just giving a quick response. I was not even sent an email to say it would be restricted and when I log in there is nothing on the site to tell me why it's restricted. They won't release it without a bank statement that includes the bank address and SWIFT code (I don't think such a statement is available). As PayPal is leaving Thailand, it seems I will be left with only 2Checkout. Does anyone have alternatives? These payment providers take so much every month, but when there is a problem there service is terrible.

There's a lot of room between serving drinks and having sex. These girls are also hired to entertain, which might mean dressing sexy, dancing, telling jokes, tolerating sexual comments etc. They can be paid quite well for this and get good tips. Similar to many people here, they may accept payment for sex, but nobody is saying that's what happened. Coyote Girls, Pretties etc. are often required to drink with their customers and I think this can lead to problems.

Random check by immigration

Surely it would just be easier to fit us with location devices? Armbands aren't necessary, we're already noticeable. -

Australian Cattle Dogs/Blue Heelers

If trained they are obedient, just needs consistency and exercise as they are extremely energetic -
How is corruption measured? Transparency International uses perceptions, but this is dependent on people's belief of what constitutes corruption. Thais have a high tolerance and consider many things to be helping out friends and family, as opposed to being corrupt.

I am not sure if we will breed, I wouldn't want to unless we had homes for the pups. Where are you located? -
Importing parts... enough parts to build a whole bike
Smithson replied to Badger18's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
Why would you need to import most parts? Vespas were made here and there's a big local scene restoring them. If plated they are not cheap either. They can get 58hp from an air cooled 185, pretty impressive and I don't think don't think they're getting that in Europe -
This FB pages sells dirt bikes and parts. The small 2 strokes come up occasionally. There's a few kids riding them at meets, I would look at some of the mx groups on FB also https://www.facebook.com/groups/699597180874853/?multi_permalinks=1074793933355174¬if_id=1641874982926163¬if_t=group_highlights&ref=notif
