  3. Im just recovering also. bitten on ankle. i had the Rabies 3 shot course (antibodies good for 6 months) and Tetanus (protection for 10 years). Recent law where on Police report/complaint legal action can be taken for such attacks from an unrestrained dog up to 50,ooo THB. In my case the dogs owner agreed to pay all medical bills. Im happy with that on condition they a) vaccinate their dogs, b) muzzle this particular savage one. All 3 are collared and on chains in the day outside their property, however this one loves my flesh had broken the collar and got me. Hope you heal quickly. Hydrogen Peroxide is super good antiseptic and has less sting than Alcohol.
  4. Refresh please. When i take New Passport to Immigration to have Visa stamps transferred; does my 90 Day report date stay the same, or does it start again on that day. Thankyou.
  5. I'm looking for an experienced Urologist in Chiang Mai...any ideas?....I have spoken with the one at Lanna Hospital but he has an attitude i cannot relate to. Thanks for any names forthcoming.

  10. ...Just a live exercise, of course some collateral damage can be expected. Lessons have been learnt, and real traffickers put on notice.
  11. one young trainee here at CNX Immigration, bless her, was handing out confectionery to young toddlers...nice gesture, but didnt first ask if had allergies, was vegan, or lactose intolerant, or glutton gluten free, or have the responsible adult sign a disclaimer.... Yeah! Im envious cause none of us elderly elderly were offered one.....555
  12. ....the highs and lows of a new business i suppose!
  13. ...chuck a bucket of water on them!
  14. I already explained at Sankamphaeng Provincial Offices grounds is the main Amphur Office, and the Provincial Land Office on the left side as turn in off the 1006 road. To make a Usufruct there is much simpler because your Chanote is stored there. If you choose to go to City Hall at Mae Rim you can do it there, but it will take much longer as they need to get your Chanote from Sankampaeng to endorse it, plus the fee is much higher. I hope this clarifies the matter.
  15. Well...i already stated i did mine at the Amphur which has a Land Office (Sankamphaeng).
  16. Create an Usufruct between you/your wife and have it drafted and registered at the local Provincial Amphur Office. Your name will then appear on the Chanote enabling you to live there unrestricted for up to 30 years, or whatever period you nominate. It is more or less a fully paid up front rental contract.
  17. ...I realise its early days yet with this incident, but mention was made by the Qld PolCom that local police were responding to a NSW Police request to check this address re a Missing Person believed to be there. I wonder what age the MP is and circumstances. It would necessarily follow that whoever made the call to NSW Police was linked/or one of the terrorist group, for want of a better term. The two investigating officers who have gone there on a routine inquiry to verify this and unwittingly have walked into an ambush. Obviously there is a huge amount to be investigated here. RIP those involved in this tragic event.
  18. Try the YouTube podcasts by Worldleading Parasitologists (TWIP) ThsWeekInParasitology). There are a lot of potentially toxic insects out there that use a human as a host in their life cycle. This is why the majority of edible insects eaten in Thailand are farmed and/or selected from the wild.
  19. Frankly, for a 1kg bag, which if inspected would be declared unfit for human consumption, would only be fit for animal feed. You have the issue of insects secreting faeces and other hormones, plus eggs, which on entering a humans; digestive tract could cause massive infections unless correctly identified prior. So, where other posters have said..''boil 'em up..extra protein" etc...is just gung-ho talk and irresponsible. IMHO.
  20. just spread your rice out on a plastic sheet in the hot sun and they will scatter quick smart...same goes for ants or any other bugs. The direct sun will also kill any fungi or mold spores. If mentioned elsewhere, apologies.
  21. ....sort of Contradictory! (Maybe Interpol have overriding powers!) Thailand currently has Extradition Treaties with 14 countries: The USA-Thailand Extradition Treaty The Thailand-UK Extradition Treaty The Thai - Indonesia Extradition Treaty The Belgium-Thailand Extradition Treaty And extradition treaty with Canada the China-Thailand Extradition Treaty the Thai-South Korea Extradition Treaty the Philippines-Thailand Extradition Treaty the Thai-Laos Extradition Treaty the Thai-Cambodia Extradition Treaty the Thailand-Malaysia Extradition Treaty the Bangladesh-Thailand Extradition Treaty the extradition treaty with Fiji Thailand’s agreement with Australia based a treaty signed between Britain and Thailand in the 1900s
