I am still afloat but have lost everything , as in I am totally broke . All I have left is faith and hope but unsure how much longer I can keep going .
over 15 years in business , paying company and personal tax, I got nothing in return. And most frustrating part, even though ordered to close for most part of the year, local gov wants full amount sign tax and applying late payments fee and interest
We had a 15 baht deduction on our water bill.

Entertainment choices ??? Hotels yes but entertainment is a bit slow at the moment and won't be much better in the near future(let's say the near future means the next 6 months)
With Chonburi now a dark red zone, expect what little of businesses that have survived to call it a day

How about vaccinating the population here first?!?
What's the percentage here? It's got to be well under 10 percent.
Have tried numerous times to register for a vaccine and always been told "Thais only"
Other option is to pay (!!) up front at private hospitals that have no idea which vaccine they will have or when,
So insisting that tourists are double vax is pointless if most expat residents can't get near a vaccine registration list.

It should be obvious why they were allowed to increase production, bribes to local hi ranking officials, that is where they should start the investigation.

So, are there any vaccination tours to Koh Larn ? 70% vaccinated already ? Surely some local entrepreneur can set up some day trips to Koh Larn with vaccination included for local residents ?
Because there are no vaccines available in Pattaya.
We can't even register

Not yet for expats.
Not even for high risk expats.
When for even high risk expats in Pattaya?
Who knows ? We are not even allowed to register -- unless you prepay at a private hospital for some unknown future date.

The problem is, all expats and foreigners here in Thailand are infected with this Thai style "Mai pen arai"
Look, we are single individuals, but together we are many.
Let everybody write to email:
One email with a formal official complaint, how we get discriminated.
Second email to the ministry of foreign affairs in the home country, to make a formal complaint
about the none existing support of our embassies.
Might also put all this, over and over in all the social media.
Just expose the reality and explain the situation.
Sitting around and do nothing does not improve anything.
Tried that, the UK Embassy is not able to do anything.

Have you tried contacting your local health center or local Govt Hospital?
My local health center arranged my appointment for the AZ vaccine at my local hospital, I had it on 28th June with the second appt scheduled for 20th Sept.
Yes, and I was told that only Thais can register,
This is in Pattaya which is slated to be the next sandbox

FWIW i got first AZ jab last Thursday Central Plaza Pattaya using pink card throughout, there were a lot queuing but moved pretty fast took just under an hour to get jab, saying that i'm high risk group and married to a Thai!
I tried to register in Pattaya -- I'm over 60 and asthmatic.
Was told a stern "No - only for Thais"
My Thai wife was able to registe - although no date could be given.
So impossible to even register in Pattaya, let alone actually get a vaccine.
But that could change whenever the big private hospitals get their own supplies...

It is not a lie. I have been refused registration, let alone vaccination, three times now, most recently after you made this post. The very specific reason, in every case, is that "you are foreigner"!
Exactly the same response that I had from the local registration offices in Pattaya schools

If they want to re-open Pattaya then vaccinations for ALL residents are imperitive. And that includes expats living here - as of today we cannot even register locally as we are told Thais only. Only other option is to pay up with a private hospital for an unknown vaccine on an unknown date.
And now they want those of us on OA visas to take out insurance in case we catch covid.

So how is this different from what's happening to expats in TH ??
Not even allowed to register, but can pay in advance for vaccines at unkown and uncertain dates.
And now they want us to buy insurance from them in case we do catch it

FYI I have a CHUM who lives in Khon kaen and yesterday and today at a big conference centre they had walk in vaccines for any expat over 60, incl of booking the second jab. Don't know what vaccine is it, but probably the kitchen sink one. So there is stuff happening to help expats.
In KK but nothing in Pattaya

The intervac app doesn't work.
I have tried to register at local centres, but only to be told that I cannot as the vaccine is only for Thais.
Looks as though we are being forced towards paying extortionate costs to get vaccinated at private hospitals.
Or was that the aim all along??
Despite being over 60 and asthmatic, I really have given up on ever being vaccinated.

Why?
This should be for the benefit of the general public and supplied by the Government at no cost to the public
What the "$£$$%" has private hospitals got to do with this?
Money. Envelopes. That's what all the delays are about.
Why can't expats even register for a vaccine ? Because they want us to go private and pay.
