lately, I played Pattaya CC, Parichat, Bangpra, Burapha, Laem Chabang.

none of them asked me any PSC credentials to give me the discounted rate.

Probably because courses are still running sport days and other promotion.

No need to be a member of any organisation to get the rate.

PSC rates are really only workable in high season, when all the promotions are stopped.

Me thinks that the small can of Leo/Chang etc that you can purchase at most stores for 35 baht but at Pattana it is 100baht... is likely to be the "Free Beer " they are promoting.

I may have been born at night.....but it was n,t last night.

Yes, the definition of "free beer" needs to be resolved.

Could mean A single (doubtless small) can, or the other extreme is a buggy with free-flow draught for the whole round.

    Probably the former...

    What a mess.

How many might have cancelled their fancy expensive dinner? (3000 to 4000 Baht at Casa Pascal)

    Big winner was Makro.

5 deep at the meat counters took ages to do shopping for the re-arranged evening bbq

Incorrect.......We have a bar seating about 35. We serve food too, though not an extensive menu, about 12 Thai dishes, plus burgers, fish chips, Chili, stew, pies etc.

We were told by messenger from the Policeman, who knows our establishment very well, that we had to close.

Meanwhile a restaurant down the road who seats about the same, albeit in less than half the space, is packed full of customers drinking beers...............Absolute madness...........:annoyed:

But who owns the restaurant down the road ?

So what if I want to walk around the course and get exercise with my caddy ? Why are motorised carts compulsory ? In Australia there is no compulsory motorised carts ( we can use push carts)? Just seems like an added cost

Exactly what compulsory carts are -- added cost to the round.

Long gone are the days of sharing a cart with the caddies perched on the back.

Few courses around Pattaya allow you to walk, even fewer caddies want to walk when they can be your chauffer instead.
