Today I dutifully queued for 30 minutes to get into the building at Jomtien, upon asking for a 90-day ticket I was asked if I had "the photocopies"
Now it seems they want a copy of your passport photo and info pages, also a copy of the reporting form that they had stapled into your passport.
The photocopy shop was busy !!

Anyone who has had the vaccine can still carry the virus.
Therefore, any establishment insisting on these passports must ensure that all staff have already had the vaccine.

So, is the Embassy lobbying the Thai government to make sure that tax paying (direct or indirect) British expats are eligible for the vaccine on the same timescale at Thai people?
And is the Embassy lobbying for the Thai government to place a cap on the charge for the vaccine in both public and private hospitals if the vaccine is not to be provided for free?
Or even that UK expats can receive the vaccine at the same cost as Thais ??
Because you know that there will be a cost, even for Thais, which will be multiplied several times for expats.

I will gladly pay the Thai price not a farang price
And therein is the reason they want us to have it.
The vaccine costs anything from 150 to 1000 baht depending on who you believe.
Bit like the covid tests, 3500 baht at private hospitals -- so how much for a vaccine ??!!?

ditto for the Chula version.
Hopefully there will be a paid option to get Pfizer, Oxford etc. (not Sputnik).
There will be a paid version of all vaccines for expats, you can be sure.

Enormous pipes installed in beach road and bypass road have absolutely no effect during downpour. Must be very big marginal costs on these contracts. All capital projects in Pattaya seem just to generate big margins without any effective outcome?
They generate great business for high-end restaurants and car dealers

Surely there is absolutely no chance that these people will not be remunerated immediately by the bank ! Also very sad that they do not name the bank in the original post ????
It has a green logo

Emerald is 1050 baht all-in.
Khao Kheow 1100 baht
Treasure Hill 1050 baht
Plenty of better deals.
Would be even better if you didn't have to use a compulsory cart at most courses ( I know you are allowed to walk at GW)
With the single use cart becoming statutory due to covid, some courses have seen the opportunity to increase the cart fee.

No bank letter needed at Jomtien, only a current update of your bankbook and copies of your passport and visa.
They needed the letter when I renewed in December -- have they changed their rules ???

I want to soi 6 and it’s pretty unfortunate. I had a drink with a chick I saw two years ago at toybox and there was absolutely nobody up and down the street; just dozens of girls looking bored.
The soi 6 cartel made it a ripoff way before covid.
Sky high drinks prices (except Scooters) and sulky attitudes all round.
No wonder soi B and LKM are booming

The use of the word "lure" is more worrying.

The bar owners in Pattaya are looking forward to seeing you and others from Bangkok this weekend
The locals aren't.
Don't want anyone from the red zones bringing anything nasty with them.
Stay home until it;s safe to travel

There are no Freaking Tourists!!! Jesus!! Open up for what!! For 2 Cheap Charlie Expats!!!
Over the lockdowns etc we have learnt that a small beer costs 35 baht.
So why pay double that ?
Anyway most expats prefer to drink large bottles, which many bars don't stock

To sell craft beers off-premises, one small brewer explained, "We have two choices: Either hire an overseas factory to make it or build a factory abroad on our own,..." and import it.[5]

Which explains why it's so expensive

I will try to find it, in the multiplicity of fxxxing dreadful Thai beer.
I found some of their product in Tesco.
A decent attempt at an IPA
The main drawback on buying craft beers is that it's taxed so heavily it costs almost double the mass-produced local slop
