Labour's Britain: A Landscape of Bluster and Inaction
Bkk Brian replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Poor excuse for inflammatory remarks even when I pointed out the context. Noted. "this car park is destined to remain empty for years to come. The reason? It cannot be connected to the main road just a few meters away due to halted improvements on the A40 dual carriageway," -

Some more details coming out on the last few days/hours before the executions of the 6 hostages. Ch12 reveals the IDF has briefed the families of the 6 executed hostages, including on the horrific inhumane conditions they were kept in and the incredible bravery they showed in their final moments. According to the reports: * Several of the six are assessed to have defended themselves and struggled with those who shot them. * Channel 12 cites “forensic” findings that show Hersh, Ori, Alex and Almog defended Eden and Carmel. * The hostages were held in a small and very narrow tunnel, barely two-people wide and too low for them to stand fully upright. Only two hostages could lie down at the same time on the width of the tunnel. * There were no air vents, and the hostages had difficulty breathing. * There were no toilets or showers in the tunnel. The hostages washed with water from the bottles they also drank from. * The hostages were starved by Hamas. Eden Yerushalmi for example weighed a mere 36 kilos (79 lb). * The hostages were executed two to three days before the IDF discovered them. According to PM Netanyahu, the hostages were murdered in cold blood, with bullet to the back of the head. * Some personal items, including journals, were also discovered, which the IDF presented to the families. Slain hostages struggled with their killers in final moments, IDF probe said to find Several of the six Israeli hostages who were executed by their Hamas captors in Gaza some 10 days ago had attempted to fight off their killers, their families have reportedly been told by the Israel Defense Forces. IDF Spokesman Daniel Hagari has briefed some of the families of the six — Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Ori Danino, Eden Yerushalmi, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov and Carmel Gat — on the difficult conditions in which they had been held and on their courage in their final moments, according to Channel 12 and Channel 13. Hagari, who reportedly met with the families over the past day or so, shared what Channel 12 news described as the initial findings of the army’s investigation into the incident, detailing the harsh conditions in which the six were held, and showing the families evidence from inside the tunnel where they were killed. https://www.timesofisrael.com/slain-hostages-struggled-with-their-killers-in-final-moments-idf-probe-said-to-find/

Pure deflection from your previous misinformation German officials on Monday rejected suggestions that national budget constraints could hurt weapons deliveries to Ukraine. The German government hopes a $50 billion international loan package funded by interest on profits from frozen Russian assets will ease some of the strain of financing military support to Kyiv starting next year. https://apnews.com/article/germany-ukraine-military-aid-financing-budget-446f7e13ad9cc352fc0a22262e5486d4 The peace initiative agreed with Zelensky to ask Putin to attend deal has nothing to with the budget cuts by Germany, stop making things up.

This is just not true. Stop the spreading of your misinformation. The offer by Olaf has nothing to do with the budget slashing. That is being offset with the 50 billion loan package being given to Ukraine funded by interest from profits of Russian seized cash. Ukraine will not have any less military aid as a result. As to any future peace conference that was mentioned in the post you made, that is an agreement that both Scholz and Zelensky have agreed to but it does not mention any giving up of Ukraine territory. Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said in an interview that he and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy agree that Russia should be included in a future peace conference aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. Scholz also called for increased efforts to resolve the conflict. https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2024/09/09/german-chancellor-says-any-future-ukraine-peace-conference-must-include-russia

Israel Hamas War the Widening Middle East Conflict
Bkk Brian replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Israel
Excellent news, one of the vilest beings that lived has been taken out by the IDF https://x.com/SenFettermanPA/status/1830952394470862971 The IDF has reportedly killed an elite Hamas commander who led the invasion of Moshav Netiv Ha’asara on October 7, and who was filmed drinking Coca-Cola from the fridge of a home there moments after murdering a man in front of his young children inside the same home. Israeli outlets report, without citing sources, that the Israeli victim’s family was told yesterday that the IDF and the Shin Bet have now taken out Ahmed Wadiyya in an airstrike that killed eight Hamas members near Gaza City’s al-Ahli Hospital. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/idf-said-to-kill-hamas-commander-who-led-kibbutz-invasion-on-oct-7-drank-coke-from-victims-fridge/ -
ooops, oh never mind........(full text in link) Interesting story from a Russian mobilised man titled "mistakes at war" about the new battalion commander's decision to relocate mortars closer to infantry which led to devastating losses from Ukrainian drones, resulting in more casualties in three weeks than in the previous 2.5 years. The shortage of qualified personnel on the Russian side is real. https://x.com/wartranslated/status/1832713300519317596

They're still there are far as I know.................... In March, the BBC faced pressure to suspend reporter Soha Ibrahim for reportedly liking videos on social media of people celebrating the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre that left more than 1,200 dead in Israel. Another staffer, Dawn Queva, was also caught making several now-deleted social media posts calling Jewish people “Nazi apartheid parasites.”

Watched footage on X, can't post here, horrible. More war crimes by the terrorists........ Video footage appears to show Russians killing surrendering Ukrainian soldiers The troops emerge and stagger into the middle of the dusty track, then onto their knees, their hands placed on their heads. Seconds later, the Ukrainian drone footage shows, they lie face down, motionless, dust trailing nearby. Video obtained exclusively by CNN, filmed during fighting late August near the embattled city of Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine, shows an apparent execution by Russian troops of three surrendering Ukrainians, after their trench was overrun. The incident, described by a Ukrainian official who asked for some details to be withheld to protect the identity of the unit, is part of a pattern of apparent executions, seemingly increasing in pace this year. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/09/06/europe/video-russia-surrendering-ukrainian-soldiers-killed-intl-cmd/index.html
