  1. The Bedouin Arab hostage, Kaid Farhan Elkadi who is now thankfully back home in Gaza and out of hospital said this: The father of 11 earlier told his relatives "about difficult days, a very cruel captivity", Ata Abu Medigam, ex-mayor of the southern Israeli town of Rahat, told Israel's Haaretz newspaper. "He spoke about one of the hostages who was held captive with him for two months and died next to him," Mr Medigam said. So another hostage who remains un-named for the moment is also dead. I am starting to believe as according to this report there are far fewer alive than the 100 or so that are currently captive and this adds credence to this latest report. The real reason Hamas can’t free the remaining hostages As few as 20 hostages are believed to be alive and in Hamas’s hands, and they’re being used as shields by Yahya Sinwar Only around 20 of the Israeli hostages are being held by Hamas and these are being kept in handcuffs as human shields around its leader, Yahya Sinwar, intelligence sources have told the JC. The rest of the captives, both living and dead, are believed to be in the hands of smaller terror groups. The grim revelation about the other Israeli captives, based on information gathered by Israeli intelligence in cooperation with Gazan informants and captured terrorists, throws new light on the complexity of securing a hostage deal, currently the subject of intense negotiations in Qatar. https://www.thejc.com/news/israel/the-real-reason-hamas-cant-free-the-remaining-hostages-iikx7t8f It was mentioned by US officials some months ago that only around 50 were still alive
  2. Another Su-25 down Ukraine downs Russian Su-25 aircraft in Donetsk Oblast – 'One less problem for our infantry' Ukrainian forces shot down a Russian Su-25 jet aircraft in the Kramatorsk sector in Donetsk Oblast, the Khortytsia group of forces reported on Aug. 28. Anti-aircraft units of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade reportedly downed the plane with a Man-Portable Air-Defence System (MANPADS) as it was attempting to fire at Ukrainian troops. https://kyivindependent.com/ukraine-downs-russian-su-25-aircraft-in-donetsk-oblast/
  3. Hardly an eye for an eye, ridiculous comparison
  4. Expanding its hold on the Kursk region and another oil depot hit. This time in the Rostov region. Ukraine has taken control of 100 Russian settlements as it continued an offensive into Russia’s Kursk region, a top military commander claimed. Ukrainian general Oleksandr Syrskyi said his troops now control 1,294 sq km (500 sq miles) of Russian territory and have taken 594 prisoners of war. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-russia-war-kursk-belgorod-missiles-putin-news-b2602854.html Cooking nicely........ In what's becoming a difficult week for Russian oil infrastructure, another oil storage complex in Rostov region is burning after Ukrainian drone strikes. The Atlas oil depot in Rostov Oblast.
  5. Great news, soon be heading to Russia and bringing the war closer and closer to Putin who has failed miserably.
  6. "Russia’s Gazprom continues to send gas even though Ukraine has captured a key technical site in Kursk. The consequences could be extremely serious for the company and the Kremlin." Ukraine Has its Foot on Gazprom’s Throat Russia’s Gazprom continues to send gas even though Ukraine has captured a key technical site in Kursk. The consequences could be extremely serious for the company and the Kremlin. It is the only remaining route to deliver gas directly to Europe and became even more crucial after the Yamal and Nord Stream 1 pipelines ceased operations in 2022. At present, the gas flow through Sudzha is 40-42 million cubic meters per day, making it an indispensable link in the chain of Russian gas exports to Europe. It is even more important to Gazprom, the once money-spinning gas giant financially humbled by the continent’s turn away from Kremlin energy. https://cepa.org/article/ukraine-has-its-foot-on-gazproms-throat/
  7. Ukraine says it controls 100 Russian settlements as Kursk incursion continues Ukraine is continuing its offensive into Russia's Kursk territory, Kyiv's top military commander says. Gen Oleksandr Syrskyi says Ukrainian troops control 1,294 sq km (500 sq miles) of Russian territory and 100 settlements. About 594 Russian servicemen were taken prisoner, he adds. Last week, President Zelensky said Ukraine controlled more than 1,250 sq km of Russian territory. Speaking via video link on Ukrainian TV, Syrskyi says one of the objectives of Ukraine's incursion into Kursk was to "distract significant numbers of enemy troops from other areas", such as Pokrovsk and Kurakhove in Donbas, and it was achieved successfully. He adds that Russia was aware of this objective and is "concentrating its most combat-ready units in the Pokrovsk area".
  8. Anticipating War Through 2025, Ukraine Is Standing Up New Mechanized Brigades The Ukrainian army is standing up new mechanized brigades. It’s a sign Ukraine’s leaders don’t expect Russia’s wider war on Ukraine to end anytime soon. It could be months before the first of the new 2,000-person brigades has filled all its billets—and months longer before the brigades are ready for combat. It’s unclear how many 160-series brigades the army is currently forming and what kinds of brigades they’ll be. If the previous round of army expansion is any indication, there could be 10. https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2024/08/26/anticipating-war-through-2025-ukraine-is-standing-up-new-mechanized-brigades/
  9. Indeed as mentioned last month by ISW. Putin Preparing Russians for 10 Years of Ukraine War: ISW "Russian state news outlets editorialized comments by Russian Security Council Deputy Chairperson Dmitry Medvedev and claimed that he said that the Ukrainian state will no longer exist by 2034, likely to support the Kremlin's efforts to prepare the Russian public for a long war in Ukraine while promising that Russia will complete its objective to destroy Ukrainian statehood within a decade," the think tank said. While Medvedev did not explicitly say that Ukraine will cease to exist by 2034, the ISW pointed out, several outlets, "including Kremlin newswire TASS," ran with such headlines as "Medvedev Admitted that Ukraine Will No Longer Exist in 2034" and "Medvedev Predicted the Disappearance of Ukraine by 2034." https://www.newsweek.com/putin-medvedev-ukraine-war-2034-isw-1926848 & subsequently by NATO Europe must brace for decade of Ukraine war - Nato chief Europe must be prepared for a decade of Ukranian war, the outgoing secretary general of Nato has warned. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c03l9eky1p9o
  10. Other call it accurate reporting. Reuters Amends Bogus Quote Which Echoed Hamas Lie That Ben-Gvir Released Plans for Temple Mount Synagogue https://www.camera.org/article/reuters-amends-bogus-quote-which-echoed-hamas-lie-that-bengvir-released-plans-for-temple-mount-synagogue/
  11. Deflection on the excellent example of I posted on the good work they do for the truth.
  12. Another example of media corrections after Camera notified them: In response to communication from CAMERA, Times of Israel and BBC Arabic last week improved their respective articles about a Palestinian teen killed by Israeli military fire, adding that he was a Hamas militant after initially neglecting to include that highly relevant information. On its own website, Hamas claimed Jibril Muhammad Kamal al-Ladaa as the organization’s “martyred Jihad warrior.” https://www.camera.org/article/times-of-israel-bbc-update-slain-palestinian-teen-jibril-ladaa-was-a-hamas-fighter/ Camera operates an excellent service and because of their efforts, mistakes or lies can be rectified.
  13. The spirit of Ukrainians "But we’re used to it and know we live in this dangerous situation, so we are not scared." Gains in Russian territory shape Ukraine independence celebrations Along with all Ukrainians celebrating their Independence Day, 19-year-old student Yuliia Vyshnivska had been warned of an increased threat of Russian strikes. But it had not stopped her and hundreds of others making their way up to an exposed rooftop for an open-air musical display of defiance in the heart of Kyiv. “I heard on the radio the Americans were warning that the Russians will bomb you today, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, they want to kill us'," she said, as the setting sun illuminated the patterns of her traditional outfit, the vyshyvanka. "But we’re used to it and know we live in this dangerous situation, so we are not scared." https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/crmwx99lgpgo
  14. Russian missiles have flown into NATO space at least twice. That makes it legitimate to shoot them down from NATO territory - President of Poland Andrzej Duda. @AndrzejDuda added that discussions are ongoing in NATO regarding that and he hopes for a positive decision. Of course, how dare they use Poland's airspace, knock them out of the sky while you can!
  15. Off topic insensitive nonsense. I was referring to the documented facts of the atrocities in Bucha.
  16. Yes nobody missed anything with you. Russia can escalate but not Urkraine
  17. Why? You don't think this has not been discussed 100's of times before on these topics with video's and horrific geo located images. Why would I want to read lies on RT? Back on topic with Russia's latest instead of your deflection https://x.com/ReutersPR/status/1827799312946065760
  18. You obviously did not follow the link to the UN article that is contained in wiki............ https://www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/2022/12/un-report-details-summary-executions-civilians-russian-troops-northern
  19. So Ukraine did not kick them out of Kiev in days and did not take back 50% of the territory Russia gained since it invaded?
  20. Wiki uses credible sources, in this case its the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights who documented the unlawful killings.
  21. This is not about war crimes in other countries. its about Bucha and others carried out by Russians in Ukraine those are the facts and not your off topic deflection. The Bucha massacre (Ukrainian: Бучанська різанина, romanized: Buchanska rizanyna; Russian: Резня в Буче, romanized: Reznya v Buche) was the mass murder of Ukrainian civilians and prisoners of war[12] by the Russian Armed Forces during the fight for and occupation of the city of Bucha as part of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
  22. Making excuses for an illegal invasion and mass war crimes carried out, oh dear
  23. Could have never started if the war criminal Putin had not invaded Ukraine illegally.
  24. The terrorists were at it again............... A British Journalist working for Reuters killed in a hotel strike. Other members of the team also hurt and in hospital. British man killed in missile strike in Ukraine “This is the daily Russian terror that continues,” he said. Earlier, Reuters released footage showing parts of the hotel completely destroyed by the strike, with firefighters attempting to pick through the rubble. The Ukrainian General Prosecutor's Office wrote in a statement that the hotel had likely been hit with a short-range Iskander-M missile. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c2l1py9g4r8o
