Israel is at War - General discussion (pt3)

Bit more info on the pull out............. IDF chief says withdrawal of troops from Gaza doesn’t mean war is close to end IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said Sunday that, despite the withdrawal of all of its maneuvering ground forces from the Gaza Strip, the war against Hamas continues and is far from over. He also said that the IDF will know how to return to fighting in the event of a temporary truce as part of a hostage deal, and that returning the hostages to Israel is a more urgent matter than other goals. “We will not leave Hamas brigades active in any part of the Strip. We have plans and we will act when we decide. https://www.timesofisrael.com/idf-chief-says-withdrawal-of-troops-from-gaza-doesnt-mean-war-is-close-to-end The IDF believes that raids based on new intelligence, like the operation at Shifa Hospital and others in northern Gaza, is a more effective way to operate against Hamas. The offensive in Khan Younis reached its potential, according to the IDF, with the local Hamas brigade being dismantled, thousands of gunmen being killed, and around 30 kilometers of tunnels being destroyed. Troops will ultimately return for raids based on new intelligence, similar to how operations are taking place in northern Gaza, according to the IDF. https://twitter.com/manniefabian/status/1776913005319442576 -
Sad............ 46% of Muslims living in the UK Sympathize with Hamas. 39% deny the crimes committed on Oct 7th. 37% say they are unsure whether Hamas killed and r*ped civilians. 32% of Muslims want Sharia law in the UK. No wonder the Pro Palestinian rallies in The UK are full of terrorist supporters https://jlpartners.com/polling-results https://www.thejc.com/news/only-1-in-4-british-muslims-believe-hamas-carried-out-rape-and-murder-on-october-7-according-to-survey-x3svowng Fiyaz Mughal, founder of Muslims Against Antisemitism and the interfaith group Faith Matters, told the Sunday Telegraph that the findings are “shocking but also not shocking.” He said: “The sense that Hamas did not conduct massacres and rapes in Israel is atrocious because it shows a closed-off mentality of anything emanating from Israel.”

To be quite honest, I don't give a toss if the figure is 3, 3000, 30,000 or 300,000. Strange admission, says a lot about you. Besides reliable figures are extremely important. Hamas figures are not reliable particularly when they themselves admit so many of them are not from hosptial sources but from media sources but they won't say which ones. No wonder you other posts are full of unsubstantiated rants

6 months ago today. "The following massacre, an atrocity of near-unprecedented levels, resulted in the murder of over 1,200 innocent Israelis, systematic sexual violence by Hamas and other terrorists against Israeli women, and the taking of over 250 hostages into Gaza. Every single death, every single drop of blood, every single home destroyed, and every innocent injured – lays solely at the feet of Hamas’ leadership. Hamas cannot and will not continue existing after this war is over, for the 1,200+ innocents slaughtered, for every single woman assaulted, for the tens of thousands of Israelis injured, and most importantly – for our people still held in Gaza." https://twitter.com/YaariCohen/status/1776716787683365209 -
Just because Amitabh Behar Oxfam’s international executive director does not make it so. The Data Show Israel Is Not Causing a Gazan Famine Despite the war, three-quarters of greenhouse acres were still available as of Feb. 15, according to a United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) report, which has the latest available data. . COGAT data show that 290,000 tons of food and beverages have been delivered to Gaza since October — recently as many as 200 truckloads a day. Full distribution of these supplies would deliver about 1.82 pounds of food daily for each of the 2 million people in Gaza. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2024/04/05/the_data_show_israel_is_not_causing_a_gazan_famine_150751.html

Here we go again. Nobody ever claimed the conflict started on 7th Oct. The war did. Had it not been for 7th Oct there would be no war now. You are also very confused. There is only Hamas and it's military brothers who are terrorists -

He needs to join AN and tell a few of the posters here....... UN chief: ‘Nothing can justify the horror unleashed by Hamas on October 7’ Six months after the terror onslaught led by Hamas, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres calls October 7 “a day of pain for Israel and the world.” In a video statement posted to X, Guterres says he and the UN mourn for the some 1,200 people, most of them civilians, “who were killed in cold blood.” “Nothing can justify the horror unleashed by Hamas on October 7,” he says. He also condemns “the use of sexual violence, torture, injuring and kidnapping of civilians, the firing of rockets toward civilian targets, and the use of human shields.” “I call for the unconditional release of all the hostages still held by Hamas and other armed groups.” https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/un-chief-nothing-can-justify-the-horror-unleashed-by-hamas-on-october-7/ -

Palestinian media instructed to spread false claims of the treatment of hostages Palestinian Authority TV: Israeli Hostages Are ‘Left Happy and Laughing’ Freed Israeli hostages have reported that they were sexually abused, tortured, beaten, and starved. The question is: why is it so important for the PA, Hamas, and their supporters to deny the sexual abuse? Certainly, kidnapping and holding civilians as hostages is by itself a horrific crime, but these they are not denying. According to the values of the world’s antisemites and Israel haters, however, if Hamas had “only” kidnapped and not sexually abused civilians, the events of October 7 would easily have been hailed as a successful “resistance operation.” https://www.algemeiner.com/2024/04/04/palestinian-authority-tv-israeli-hostages-are-left-happy-and-laughing/ -
